In that three-year World Series run, this was the only time the A's got to truly celebrate a home World Series game win since the earthquake put a damper on the mood of their two home wins in 1989.

Funny how Canseco hit a GS in his first WS AB, McGwire hit a walk off HR with 2 strikes and hardly no one remember, Hershiser dominated the best AL lineup, but Gibson historic HR is the trademark of the ‘88 WS

I remember this game as if it were played yesterday, sitting in the living room with my two sisters which are both dead now, anyway time really went by fast real fast. I didn't realize it at the time that the Dodgers line up was so enemic, wow that was a huge upset, I bet Vegas lost big money.

The Oakland Colosseum was actually beautiful before they built that Mount Davis giant block of seats in Center Field blocking the hills

I know Dodgers starter John Tudor personally he always said he wish he never pitched that game because his elbow felt different in the pen and the Tommy John surgery didn't help him for throwing as lefty side arm

Bad mechanics. Cant really argue, they got him to the bigs. His mechanics were an injury waiting to happen. Loved seeing a side armer from the left side, super rare.
