Ok. 1st...why is it necessary to tell us either persons race? This wasn't a racially charged crime. 2...if you decide to break into people's cars and tell them you're armed when confronted, then whatever happens happens. So...he didn't kill him for breaking in cars. He killed him because he posed himself as a serious threat.

Dialing 9-1-1 in the City of L.A. is a joke, because many times all lines are busy and the caller may have to hold for a long time before being connected to a live Operator. The USC Campus is a bubble surrounded by dangerous neighborhoods. Several USC Students have been killed during robberies around Campus throughout the years, so I think this Student didn't take any chances. Who knows if he will return to USC after this. I pray for the young man who lost his life over B.S. and my deepest condolences to his Mom & family.

This was not self defense. These people in the comments acting like civilians are police are crazy. As a civilian, you don't get to say things like "he was reaching for his waistband." Civilians are not police. Citizens don't have to listen to other citizens boss them around. That's not how this works. In fact there was a case a couple weeks ago where some guy took it upon himself to confront a group of black teenagers he though had guns and were going to rob a store. Turns out they were airsoft guns and they were returning one to the store where they bought it because it was malfunctioning. The guys shoots one of the kids and is charged with murder, as he should be. They said they ordered him out of the car. They were the ones with the weapons. They were not afraid of anything. This was murder and the kid got away with it because of politics. I don't care if he was breaking into cars. You cannot kill someone for that.

Which is a very srtong indication he is not legally and lawfully in the United States of America. We were told everything else about him academically, hobbies, family but nothing about immigration status. Who were his friends? Are they legal citizens? What was their role, in this? This kid is a murderer. The whole he reached for a gun (that he never had) is laughable. No one says that. Then acting like a citizen has to follow another citizen's orders like they're law enforcement is another lie. According to their own words, they're the ones who ordered him out of the car. The confrontation happened because of them, and they were the only ones with weapons. How is this not murder? You cannot find a single case in recent memory were a situation with these facts didn't lead to a murder charge. Anyone agreeing with Al is just a fanboy.
You're just dead wrong. The only thing we have to go on is his claim that he feared for his life because he thought he had a gun--which he didn't. That is textbook murder. Nothing else in this story can justify his action even if 100% of it was true.
