I have the old Ricky Carmichael dirt bike, its s bit bigger than the Losi, I've been wanting to upgrade all the electronics for a while now, hopefully this will inspired me lol, I saw a guy upgrade the same bike to 3S and it ripps hard!! So glad to see Losi come out with a dirt bike, Love the wheelies 😁
By putting threadlock in advance on the pinscrew you put in at 10:40, you risk leaving threadlock in the hole and create binding while it needs to be able to rotate freely
I have two X-rider bikes. They use a similar flywheel design to this bike. They are grear bikes. But, so far, I like what Losi has done with this bike. For one, I ike the fact you can control the rpm on the bike with the remote. Second, I like the battery compartment design they are using. On my X-rider bikes, I am limited to the types of batteries I can use. Because the bikes battery compartment is meant for a cube shape battery. There are not many cube shape Lipos out there. So, I am limited to the battery that came with the bikes. I am looking forward to this bike. I will definitely be picking one up. I hope Losi comes out with upgrade parts for the bike.

Been converting my mini b to to a drag racing machine haha i put a brushless kit thats almost twice the size of the stock motor and a 30amp hobbywing esc with a trx tsm receiver and i fabed a wheelie bar and put a 27t pinion, she rips!

i am so glad that i have never bought a bike from any other manufacturer and been put off by poor performance and build quality because from what I have seen so far with this Promoto MX from LOSI is simple smashed outta the park the running is smooth and thanks to the gyroscopic design and the looks of a real scale bike at 1/4 is now what i am going to get myself thanks Losi for being a great provider and up there with parts and quality.💯💥
Have you considered that by installing a MUCH stronger, UNFLEXIBLE swingarm, that that just makes FRAME DAMAGE more likely, as the aluminum swing arm will just transmit ALL the impact forces to the swingarm mount and the rest of the frame?
@@robmule4647 That's a bit of a simple way to look at this. The pin that holds the swingarm is a transmissionaxle as well. That axle will take more impact with the stiff swingarm. The smallest amount of deformation will lead to binding and wear. Whatever way you look at this, there are forces and stresses which the shock does not absorb and are increased by stiffening the swingbar.......
I like everything about these bikes but the price. Having said that, I also believe they should have aluminum swing arms for the cost. I have always been a losi driver since the early 90's. But I purchased a tamiya clodbuster gray edition and wild willy 2 instead with another spectrum radio.
Well not much room for larger front sprocket and smaller rear chain way too lose .. I could sure do with 1 tooth bigger rear sprocket cos damn chain stretched so much
I'm hoping for heavier aluminum wheels too, these bikes a pear to nose dive in jumps, a heavier rear wheel would increase pitch articulation, not to mention trick rims would greatly increase the popularity of the badass bike, just imagine milled chopper type rims or spider web mags on this.....
It all depends on your jump and mode .. I can control the bike in the air .. do a big jump front wheel way up and split sec b4 land tap break land perfect flat .. nose is down pull the trigger !
I need an answer asap. They say never under any circumstances use a charger other than spektrum smart charger. Is this true? I have a traxxas live iq charger. I was about to order one of these in red but If I have to buy anther charger I'm not ordering... help asap please
Sorry for not see the his sooner .. buy red one and use shorty lipo batteries .. U might need solder new bat plugs .. I dunno what traxax charger U have or if U can charge regular battery not just traxas
It looks more like a real motor cross bike. If it would be possible at all to be able to have the rider slide back a little so if your going through whoopty doos you would have more & better control. The reason why slide back a little is to transfer some weight back so you could skip across the tops of them .
$930 AUD ...for that much it should come with the aluminium swing arm ... great rc , amazing but nearly a grand with no battery .....cant see it being a hot seller for that much
For nearly 1000 bucks they should come with all the aluminium good stuff just seems like another rc scam product to me now they will have you spending more to upgrade something that should be as good as it gets for that price.
