I once had a ex pull that crap at the end. I just told her parents that I never want to see her or them again. As of that moment the blood fued began. It ended two months later. Never assume a guy is okay marrying you so you can get your parents off your case, especially when you are a cheater and liar.

But if its 17 and 24 thats too much of a gap. Anything above 22 for me, is a fully functional adult, and its their choice how old they want their partner to be.
Would you say that if you took the same concept and tossed it into an Isekai or something? I feel like it's just easier to lean that way because the setting is just IRL - Present Day. Not saying it's not the truth, could well be, but idk it didn't feel much more like self insert fanfic stuff than a lot of other Manga to me.

Middle Earth (The lord of the rings world) was created on the back end of the second world war as a way for tolkien and his college friends to pretend they were somewhere else. Kinda like DnD, but before it was a tabletop game.
