For cleaning gears, diff housings, and other small parts requiring occasional cleaning, I purchased one of those Sonic jewelry cleaners. Granted, I do occasionally use it for cleaning other things, such as my, and my wife's, wedding rings...but, it's primary purpose (and, again, the reason I purchased it) is for cleaning RC parts. For a 'cleaning solution', I use a mixture of Simple Green & water. Using a jewelry cleaner probably sounds 'strange' to some...but, I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this.
I see why you and RC GUY Garage are cool with each other, completely different approaches to the same exceptional conclusion...lol sometimes,....but the truth is, being on opposite sides of the country you guy's provide a wide range of options for all conditions weather wise ....cars act different depending on the side of the country you're on ...or the world for that matter..I watch both you guys consistently, keep up the good work!!!!
I too have a better cheaper set of hex driver bits and I got them from Traxxas….. they’re ok but after what you said in this video I just ordered a set of MIP bits because periodically I’ve stripped screws with the Traxxas tools …..Thanks E for your insight and of course the “Yoda” factor…… always good honest content……..😎👊🏻👍🏻
I have 100k/500k/less than 100k in f/c/r , friends that locked the center had to buy a lot of stub axles as spare parts 🤪, this will be a monster to run 😎👍
That's the same weight fluid I'm using now the part is I can't even try it out since my esc went out so now I've got to send it back to castle so I'll be out 2 months so time to figure out what to build next any recommendations
So just got dbxle brock front hub 1st thing And while this things is slow.it definitely need more power its so big its trying to go it just take a minute. I'm use to 6s kraton 6s mojave even Xmas is tuff as Nails! But most of my cars on road Cars Couple X01 Felony's infractions Limitless The Xo1 Seems to work the best for me. Is there just really fragile Hit something they're done Where my infractions and felonies are pretty tough I went 162 before it took Flyit that xl2 is a bad boy it took 3 before they didn't Burn up Literally count on fire So if they don't act like they want to calibrate be careful !! So anyway just wanna say thanks for all the tips helps me a lot. Ps Castle makes out like you did something wrong
Brand new out of the box leaking center diff today! got 3 of the 4 screws out and had to use lots of heat and hammered a bit in to the rounded screw, but got it out! still dont know where it is leaking from though... thinking one of the outputs.
Recently made a trade new xmaxx for my DBXLE 2.0 guess got tired of stripping pinion and spur gears … soon after noticed vitavon makes a center diff housing that mounts center diff and motor one solid piece to prevent misalignment of spur and pinion while under heavy load… what’s your opinion on this upgrade ???
@@earlmoorhead5555 do you have a suggested on cooling fans? Also what is your thought on vitavon aluminum parts for the diffs and suspension parts. Exocaged used them and loves them.
