My first RC car was the 1996 Losi Xxcr kit with bearings.. It was a refreshed XX. Shortly after I bought a used XXT with the CR upgrade. I retained the original shorter XXT chassis. The two notable upgrades were the separate rear plate and moving the front wheel bearings to the steering knuckle and out of the wheels. The white front bulkhead was stronger than the original “Stifashell” plastic that all the original parts were made of. Step Pins were the best all around tire at that time. If you could only afford one set of rear tires, they were the ones to have. Great job! Can’t wait for spring to see it on your track. BobT
I'm about to get a 1 owner XX so this is good for me to see what is out there. It will certainly be a runner, and is coming with all vintage electronics.
cool xx i just finished a XXT stadium truck like yours all Graphite, its ready for the track now just need to see a vintage race to run it in. lol that might be the tough part.
@@VINTAGEBACKYARDRC how is the new track coming along? Love to see a progress video. I have started my first track in between some saplings in our garden but I am already feeling the need to go bigger!!
@@theoagrc So we just got the deck and small drivers area/walkway done. I have a pool to put up for the kids 1st. Will 100% do a track build video. Been eyeballing sod cutter rentals this week. Although I am guilty of not using it enough...I post small things like this to Instagram. I can't take advantage of some of the cool community features y.t. has until subs creep over 1k (hopefully that will happen this year). Good luck with the track! Best feeling in the world to just head outside of your house and burn some laps.
Thanks for noticing the tunes! I do all my own stunts unless noted in the videos. I think I had to borrow a song from a bud once or twice when I was out of time..but otherwise it's me and that's a HUGE part of the fun of doing this. Gives me an excuse to fire up the amps! Thanks for tuning in. I appreciate it.
I am redoing one of these right now I thought I had a xxx but turns out it is xxcr mine has the graphite chassis and full ball bearings need ro find a wing mount its got the steel axle to
I have a xx4 looks about new a xxx4 bout the same great condition then another buggy that's a xxx I'm pretty sure . Do have a few parts in bags still . I'd love to get some info on it . I am thinking about letting them go .
If you are on Facebook...join Vintage Losi. Old school RC is also a great resource for vintage Losi information. As far as selling....checking Ebay sold listings is probably the best way to evaluate value.
I have been watching eBay . This xx4 is all graphite xxx4 is mostly graphite and xxx would be great for parts or a build if someone had a few things to put on it . I'd love to get some info on them . Thank you very much for those links . I'll go on there and check it out .
