All these perfect parents in the comments. Smh. You all should be ashamed of your judgment and criticism of a foster CHILD. We literally only see minutes of their days, we barely know anything about them. Yet you come here making claims and accusations like you live with them. It’s just very sad.

I think Peter is a great parent but don't get me wrong, doing the bare minimum doesn't make you a good parent... It's a responsibility and your JOB to put food on the table, a roof over their heads, clothes, providing for them, and protecting them. That is what being a parent is. I understand it's hard, I may still be a teenager but I have 5 siblings and even I get stressed out even though I'm not the one taking care of them. It is difficult to raise teenagers. My parents have done so much for my family whether it's teaching us lessons, being reasonable, listening to our problems, understanding our different backgrounds, etc, exceeding the Bare Minimum. But I think he is a wonderful Dad and treating his kids with love wanting the best for them.

Maybe he was in a good family but so e children choose to be rebellious, Anthony was dking ik but now he is very stabborn towards Peter, he ask him to close my door , Peter has done a lot he needs to start focusing on himself now soon he will be ageing this boys has got no respect for him at all they are very rude and stabborn they take him for granted. Its time he should put his hat off he did wat he did it hurts when u are asking your child and treat u like trush my biological dont talk to me like that we have respect for rach other, these teens controls him from grocery shoping, infact every thing he looks aged he is stressed he is better off by himself and his dog. They will never respect him since he is a black man he has got do much love and patient but its sad to see him told off like that .Wstch the Miller famiky they has they own 3 biological and 4 adopted its a diverse family but the children both adopted and biological they resoect they parents the boys they help house chores there's order consedering they are 7 children. Watch Peter video on shoping u can see its him who bow he needs to wake up if tgey can't respect him he needs them to find somewhere and they will see that not all.parents torelate such an abuse and controlled, Anthony rubbing Peter head all the time was enough wake up call for him he treats him like nothing

I've been watching you for a bit now. Now I am known. Affirmation to children in your care you know them. The them wrapped up in layer upon layer of protection from abuse and and failure from those who brought them in. You showed Kai in Costco through conversation and his sneaking food into the cart he will not experience hunger in your home. Allowing him to keep what he chose gave you insight to the type of upbringing he had before he came to you. You showed him his voice is heard with you. Yes he's pushing his boundaries with you that's what teens do. But by bringing him school work you showed him priorities. Best to the three of you.

Life is full of rules, we all have to follow them, it's part of learning self discipline; it's hard as a teen but much harder as an adult, because so many rules can just waste time. Making friends is hard too, but a good skill to learn....teens need structure, it helps them to focus and know what to expect...it can also can give them a greater sense of security....nonetheless, hang in there Dad, you are doing great. Anthony you are a true blessing to and for Peter .. and Simba kikikikiiiiii .. and the new young teen in the house ~ wow wow wow!! children are a blessing .. you will never understand this unless you experience a certain kind of barren~ness not only within as a woman but an emptiness of not being able to give your love to one who takes it all with no questions .. children are so forgiving too!! they are so trusting and that is why they latch on to you when they know they can trust you .. well done Peter!! GOD bless you with long life and may GOD satisfy you and yours!!

Lol @ Simba. Dogs will be dogs. 🐶 Hello Kai and Anthony! 😃 you both are typical teenaged boys 😂. Hope you continue to do well in school and that the school year goes well with you. Peter you show a lot of care for your boys. I can see and feel the love coming through your videos. Hope the bond of love between you all continue to grow stronger and stronger each day.

@@FosterDadFlipper He said Please every time he asked for the door to be closed, never raised voice. Yes he is an idiot teen who some day will wish he spent more time studying instead of video games and like a dumb teen he does not know how rude it is to ask someone to leave their own room. But he did it all with good manners and a calm manner. Great job Dad!

You are best dad ever. I loving watching your u tube videos. I am a foster parent. And you are teaching some things I did not know. One way we are a like kids are very special and important to both of us. Also I have same about elderly people. They need people to care and make sure they are well cared for to just like all the kids in the world.

My kids only play video games Friday after virtual learning, Saturday and Sunday. During the week, they need to focus on school and not rush thinking they’ll be playing video games. My kids are used to it and will thank me later.

Aww, Simba. Cheeky. Lol. Since homeschooling. I am drained. Lol. I feel your pain. Constantly pushing my teenager to log on. And make sure he is attending every online lesson. And he's eating me out of house and home. Haha. His excuse he is growing. :D Another great video. Have a good week. Take care.

I have to Say Foster Dad : your being patient with them , I respect that , I'm not like that. Foster/adopted Dad I Do Respect you even if I didn't convey the message , I apologize if I didn't. Your a good Foster/Adopted Dad. As a Viewer , I would like to see the Teens Appreciate your Guidance & your Gentle approach (With) these (Teens). (Not) because I'm asking : For the Importance In The Teens Growth In Life As A Whole. Two Reasons : One While they are young Teens , to Guide them in a healthy approach in their own live Now & Into their Future. Maybe have them do a daily journal. Ask them to Individually sit down with you and they go over their journal & ask them to ask questions about their weekly learning experiences. Maybe this will help them learn about the Guidance & Support your giving (With) them In their life experiences & life in General. Because in time they Will venture off on their own & when this happens they will have some kind of understanding & not walk into life alone Not Knowing. I speak by experience because I did Not have good Guidance & Support , you kids are Blessed with this chance of learning. Take Note kids no matter what we share : Your Foster/Adopted is doing the best of his Ability : For You Kids , this is for you kids Not your Foster/Adopted Dad. I do enjoy watching this , thank you.

I'd be the meanest foster mommy ever. "Get off that video game. Here's a book" and, "No I will not buy chips, I'm making a zucchini and quinoa casserole for dinner and you will like it. Or else." I actually think Peter's approach is better. These kids have been through hell, and they need room to breath while still having some boundaries. Boundaries make us humans feel safe.

Yeah it’s understandable to want them to have healthier options. I believe Kai was watching a tournament, not actually playing (at least around 2:30). I’m only 22 and not a parent, but I don’t respect when people act like they’re higher than me because they’re older and that I have no option but to do what _they_ tell me to do. You gotta explain why one option is better than the other. Not to mention, video games allow you to bond with people and learn a looot (ive learned things that I’ve never been able to conceptualize in school just from video games, like Roman numerals lol). Books are great too, but I don’t see one as “better” than the other.

Breath. Its just a few days lol. It could be worse lol. Me when my son was a teen i actually loved my son playing video games. Only cause it kept him out of trouble. He was allowed to play as many hours as he read books. Perfect trade.

I worked in several schools with children from low income to upper middle class backgrounds. Almost all if not all of the parents from the higher socio economic level NEVER let's their children play video games during the week. Not even after homework. It's considered a treat. Of course those children tested higher, communicated better than children their age, expressed more interest in learning and were more creative. Most of their parents were also VP and Executives of some of the largest companies here in America.

Bullshit. I raised my family with full freedom to play all the videos they wanted, as did my friends. We weren't disadvantaged, quite the opposite. Lots of money, lots of security, we are all educated, and all our kids grew up gaming their hearts out. All our kids are now in or done university. And they still game.

You're right, they are training them in delayed gratification and conscientiousness. Those kinds of kids often always outperform their peers. And it has data to back it up too. But there needs to be balance in everything.

Out of necessity I homeschooled my children through the church & superintendent of the county. I have 3 children. It takes alot of creativity and patience. This was long before covid. It is challenging but rewarding at the same time.
