Can you guys react to The Whole Nine Yards (2000)?

I think you guys would have a great time watching this show. You guys watched Dark so its along the same lines of that show, but its a long show it might have to be a slow burn for yall when reacting.

Guys, by the way the pilot episode was two parts so may I suggest you watch and react to part two as well. Since I'm asking you should react to both episodes three and four and I promise by then end of them you'll 100% be hooked on "Lost" Episode four was when all us Lost fans officially got hooked on the series, like I'm confidante you three will as well. 🌴🛫🌄🛬🌴

Absolutely, almost done watching my 6th time through. Lost is how shows should be written, one that makes you think through every episode.

The mind blowing thing is that is not "in recent years". It's 2004. So they started working on it in 2002-2003. It was AGES ago. That's also why all those reference to the survivors shows are not really on point, because most of them started after Lost

While trying to avoid spoiler talk, what do you think so far? How far along are you? I watched it live back in the day. I've seen this series some-teen times now. It gets even better upon 2nd viewing. I'm just obsessed now though. Lol.

@@bafmd Hi, thank you for your comment. Glad you like the show too. I just finished the first season. Prior to watching it, I knew Ian Somerhalder was in it so that was a reason for me to try it. I assumed it would be a show about basic survival -- finding food and water, fending off wild creatures, strangers learning how to live together on an island..and the drama that comes with all of that. As a fan of Survivor, I wouldn't have minded that. As I got deeper into the pilot episode, I realized how it's so much more. It has a mystery element to it, the characters are engaging, and there is that sense that they could die at any moment. And the flashbacks. Now I'm obsessed.

@@rach3l629 Yeah, I think a lot of people thought it was going to be like Survivor, which was super popular at the time. By the end of the pilot episode, you know it's going to be something much different. And it is. If you've just started season 2, I'm excited for you, because you're getting to experience the rest of the show for the first time. Enjoy the ride!

@@michelleleach4880 Same but with TVD! I'm really liking how mysterious the island keeps getting. I enjoy flashbacks a lot. My only complaint is the turn a certain character's story took. Still mad about it but the show is still great.

I think he's so much better as Damon (the actor, Ian Somerhalder, said it too). The show he's in is called The Vampire Diaries. It's one of the shows they are currently reacting to on their channel.

Fun fact, the entire show is made up, as are all pieces of fiction.

@@raylenerobin fair enough. It was just opportunistic hating on my part because I disagree with your claim, I think Lost remains pretty solid right through, with season 4 and 5 probably being my favorites.

@@truthbetold8233 yeah I would have to disagree. I love the early to mid seasons so much binging it but the end part of the story just left so much plot holes, deux ex machina and unanswered questions.

@@raylenerobin there a some "plot holes" and a few "unanswered questions", but nothing that breaks the show/story. I think the show is solid. There are some dips in the story, but only because of the writers being forced to tread water while the studio forced more episodes from them. By the end of season 3, they were allowed to start wrapping it up, hence the shorter seasons and faster paced story telling. But, yes, tv shows are made up as they go (for the most part) because they have little control as far as pacing, timing and things like actors quitting, etc. It's not like today when you can write up and produce an entire show all at once, such as DARK and Stranger Things (season 1 at least). What LOST accomplished is pretty amazing, whether you like it or not.
