Today I’m continuing on my journey of watching LOST for the first time. In this video I watch Season One Episode Four.
The twist towards the end of this episode left me completely reeling.

One of the many things I love about LOST is that when you watch the same episode twice you don't see it the same way. And when you finish the series and watch it a second time, you'll see it in a third totally different way. This is my eighth viewing of the series and each one has brought me a different pleasure.

I love the shot early in the episode when Locke is talking about hunting the boar and reveals his case full of knives. He decides to open the case with his foot, because, fuck it, he can!

Glad you didn't guess Locke's secret before it was revealed...much better fun that way 😀 On that note, definitely try to get moderators...there are always a few people who are awful with spoilers (either intentionally or not). Already subscribed for LOST...can't wait to continue along with your journey! Edit: Also best not to look up anything at all (not even an actor) until you've finished the show...you will definitely get spoiled,

Ya I've learned that I even have t be careful not to read the description that pops up when I pull up an episode. The description for episode 2 said "we find out that Kate was the prisoner"....and I was like "that's Hulu. Ruined that one for me"

What I remember when I was watching this show when it aired I was automatically hooked even in the 1st episode. But when I watched this episode I was in shock. So yeah this show will keep you guessing and wondering

I think it was on my 3rd rewatch when I caught the TPS reports line and was like, hey! Wait a minute. Was Office Space making a really obscure LOST reference!?! 😂 Re: Sun babysitting Walt, I agree and think that Claire or Rose would have been better choices. Subbed, liked and commenting for the algo! Enjoy the ride that is LOST! There is no other show like it. EDIT: You also might want to get someone to help moderate your comments just to make sure you don't get spoiled. I have no idea how that is setup, but know that other reactors have done it.

First off, thank you for the sub, like, and comment. The moderator idea is an interesting one. I hadn't thought of that. I'll see if maybe I can enlist my wife just to scroll through new comments once or twice a day and look out for anything major since she saw the show when it originally aired.

@@OldBeardedGuyReacts This is a great idea if she's amenable. I believe other Lost reactors have been able to enlist other Lost reaction channel peeps to help out with this. This show takes lots of twists and turns, and spoilers are a great way to ruin a first watch. The writers so carefully crafted each ep, would be a shame to be spoiled. I don't know if commenters just aren't thinking or just jerks, but it happens all the time.

So very excited for you and your LOST journey! It's my favorite show of all time and I'm always so happy to see people reacting to it because it's the closest I can ever get to feeling like I'm watching it again for the first time! I hope people are kind and don't spoil because this is THE show to avoid spoilers for from comments to google searching *anything*! Have so much fun with this watch though! I hope you love it.

I agree on an editor....people will spoil on this show....most people won't do it on purpose but LOSTIES are a very dedicated bunch....I am on my 19th rewatch.

LOST is great the 1st time but LOST is like sex....its good the 1st time but it's also a little bit of "I don't see why people love it"...the 2nd and 3rd time it all makes sense, u pay attention more and it blows your mind....so here's to hoping your wife is on her 2nd or 3rd time......of LOST OF COURSE.

2:49 I heard this argument often, 20 years ago. But the fuselage on a tropical beach can't be used as a shelter nor as a storage facility. The 'b-o-d-i-e-s' are being cooked inside ('grim', as Hurley stated). The heat inside would be unbearable even throughout the night. And without proper tools you won't be able to take the plane wreckage apart. So search the place for anything that may be useful to the survivors and burn it down afterwards.

This is the episode that tells us, there's something crazy going on here, for sure. You're theory isn't crazy, based on the amount of information you have available at this time. I like the Bermuda Triangle analogy, something is most def unusual here in this place. I've watched people react to this and try to say, well, the plane crash somehow tweaked his back and brought the feeling back to his legs. That dog just don't hunt. If he was in that chair for four years, his muscles would have atrophied. Even if he got feeling back in his legs, he wouldn't have the strength to stand and walk without some rehabilitation. So whatever happened, it completely restored his leg usage, and that's pretty crazy.

Lost is more likely to have been referencing Office Space as it came out in 1999 well before Lost.

If one were referencing the other, that would definitely have to be the order. I did Google this, though, and found out that TPS reports are apparently a real thing.

Haha....I don't know. The ending on this had me pretty dumbfounded. I was smiling quite a bit while watching Hurley attempting to spearfish. One of the downsides to having a big beard is that it can get in the way sometimes if someone's trying to read your expression.
