I have to say, that I really enjoy your playgroup. The channel developed so well and some time ago, I watched your channel only, when other channels haven’t released new matches. But now I watch your videos just after release on yt. The upgraded precons releases are just spot on and I love the chemistry at the table. Thank you so much for your work, I do appreciate it.
descend unfortunately does not count tokens as they are not cards, they're permanents, but not cards, and the phrasing for descend says permanent cards, so that's not actually a trigger =x
ya using Non-token perm instead of Permanent Card would've made it way less confusing for all. i just been playing so long that i can catch some of these stupid nuances occasionally @@JavierOrtizBultron
@@twolf7448they probably said permanent cards because in any zone other than the battlefield and the stack everything is a card and tokens can't live in any zone but the battlefield. So they would have had to say nontoken permanent card.
This my favorite Commander show and its out early?!! So glad y'all were the first to release a LCI episode (at least on my feed 🤣🤣). Hopefully this shows up in nonsubscribers' feed and they can see how great this channel really is.
The merfolk deck seems so much stronger than the other precons... the commander just gives soooooooooo much value. I have seen like 3 groups play with the precons, and the merfolk run away every time.
Yeah the difference is absurd. Every single other commander is limited to once per turn and comes with a downside. Brass needs things in the graveyard and can only grab pirates and exiles them when they die, Clavileño needs vampires on the board he hasn't targeted before and needs ways to kill them and Pantlaza has the fewest restrictions being tied to dinos and toughness. All of these are great, but they don't do is scale for just doing your game plan. You probably fan build the deck with purely lands and merfolk and do alright. It is a silly design and will lead to the commander becoming a removal magnet.
@@magnusmagicus1977 Definitely. Although, I think him reading the rest of Hakbal would've left some of those cards on top to draw on attack. Guess we'll never know
What a fun game that was! Really enjoyed watching it. Also Ixalan was the first set for me to play magic so it’ll always have a special place in my heart and I’m so happy that we are returning to my favorite plane!🙌🥳
The only channel I enjoy watching. Most of my decks now and days draw inspiration from your channel. Thanks for bringing the worst possible to my playgroup.
You are right, but also wrong. It still technically hits the graveyard and then exiles. So any ability/effect sees it hitting the graveyard and triggers
New keyword. I'd have been had too. I just noticed it says permanent CARD. (tokens DO go to the graveyard, so a permanent going to the graveyard would have counted)
@@mr.mammuthusafricanavus8299 unfortunately the wording has Card in it, so despite the token being a permanent touching the graveyard, it doesn't satisfy the card condition of descend. they could have just said non token permanent i feel, to make it clearer.
Noone reads Hakballs second paragraph. 😂 and this note is after watching 4 channels doing precons/editted decks. It has an attack value trigger. Even without that, merfolk have zoomed ahead every game. It's wipe, or lose to merfolk.
The way Blake says "Hakbal" alsways sounds to my German ears like "Hackball" (Hack = synonym for minced meat; ball = ball). Which makes Hakbal a meatball :D
Love the show, love the game, love the pod. Shea, please think of another Worst Possible. That combo is the most boring of all and you never get to play it anyway. Don't underestimate yourself, go out on the ledge, try something new, show the world the girls have it! Love ya
I noticed you introduced the decks as 'typal' when in the past you've used 'tribal' - has Wizards asked content creators to change terminology, or did you decide yourselves?
@@EllipticalReasoning My post got auto deleted for posting the link, but it’s from the MtG announcement post from Nov 3. Really use any of the three as basically nobody cares if you stay with tribal just like nobody really cared about DnD switching the word race to species.
Carmen could have had that if she wasn’t mana blocked. Carmen plus edict goes crazy. Especially with hexproof and indestructible equipment to protect her. That last Carmen turn was lightwork compared to what she could have done if she had Carmen out sooner
Shea you look absolutely gorgeous, Blake I’m loving the hamburger meat, Ben I think that color shirt matches you really well, and CGB, is that a new jacket? Actually looks kinda retro and I like it a lot! Just felt like brightening y’all’s day with some compliments! ❤
2nd video that I've seen the Meerfolk precon just gets to victory. Great synergies in that deck and Discover ability with that new commander are really dangerous.
love watching the rest of the crew but CGBs jokes and mannerisms are just so overly forced. mate chill out, you dont need to be the main character ALL the time
Fun fact port razor gives an additional attack step after it hits the third opponent it just can't attack on that one so it's essentially vigilant too.
I'm a fan of the channel, but can you get a resident judge to catch your missed or incorrectly resolved triggers? Once I notice it I click off the video.
It’s so condescending at this pt the amount of times people say honest magic and try to make it a cute quirky thing…. Bro we get it like you guys get free stuff that keep all your decks CEDH at this stage. You don’t even have to think about it most days cuz all of your 0 mama cost cards are so great. You should know your audience is also mixed with budget players and also people who don’t just live and breath magic… idk man I’m tired of hearing it.
lmao what a friggin' mald This show has NEVER been CEDH. You absolutely have no idea what the format even looks like if you think just cuz they include crypt, ring and lotus it's CEDH.
Just watching the video…2wks after initial airing…so maybe it’s been answered/pointed out. How did Port Razer attack when it first came out of the graveyard @8:35 from Admiral Brass? The finality counter doesn’t give it haste and I didn’t hear that an Anger was in the graveyard. 🫤
