I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Ullman several yrs ago when she was the guest of honor at the Chicago Film Festival. She’s lovelier than you could imagine. So gracious.

On your script, who does it say wrote the screenplay for Lost Horizon...I can tell you I have a final draft script and Larry Kramer is not the screenwriter...I think he may have used a ghost name when he wrote this.

Thank you for being so nice to the film with your video. I love the movie. There are only two things which I don't enjoy about it, but that's subjectuve. I wish I could have been there, watching it with everyone. Your memorabilia collection is astounding!!!! Do you own that film print? Is it 35 miillimeter?

I completely agree with you. I love the 1973 version. The 1937 version is far too lengthy and talkative.

Thank ever so much for sharing your incredible collection from Lost Horizon! I saw the film in the theater when I was about 12, and I was so mesmerized and awed by it! I know now that it was totally ripped apart by the critics at the time, which is so sad. I still enjoy it today as much as I did that first time, get goosebumps at times. It's a shame that because the critics were so brutal it hasn't become a widespread classic like it is for a small number of people including myself. Thank you again!

The movie and its majestic soundtrack has become a life marker for millions of western mystics and I believe worldwide as well, as it speaks of the essence of the spiritual quest and, of course, to the dear legend of Shamballah, which the Bön-po must have actually been the original keepers of, since their teaching of the magical land of Tadzig Olmo Lugring is way older than the legends of Shamballah itself!

Fascinating comments (during the pre and post viewing of the film) and memorabilia. I'd LOVE to see some of this in person, and can't wait to see the new dvd release!

As a staunch fan of this version since I first watched it in 1973 as a 13-year-old, thank you so much for uploading this here, sharing with us these precious images to the soothing and magical music background of Bacharach´s arrangements. Greetings from Brazil!

I sooo love the Bacharach/David songs of this musical. I remember as a child I never got tired of listening to them over and over again. That's why I was really surprised when I read Siskel & Ebert's review saying there isn't one memorable song in the movie!!! I guess Lost Horizon's music were ahead of it's time. Actually, I admit some of the choreography in the movie sucks, but that's another topic.

Percymony-Just when did you lose your hearing??The music was " ahead of it's time"??? If that's the case,I'm doing a double Van Gogh A.S.A.P.!! I have a background in musical theater,so I thought I've heard it all,but this?? I can remember as a teenager how I cringed when my voice teacher tried to have me learn"Living Together,Growing Together"-eventually SHE caught on to how bad and awkward it was!! Sorry to burst your bubble, but to each his or her own,I guess!!

+willow11st The lyrics suck, but Bachrach's music was great (if inappropriate for the story).
