Awesome work! I grew up in the 60s watching Lost In Space every afternoon. It was a magical times of my childhood to grow up with B9, always wanted one! It's my favorite show of all times, along with Batman, etc. I had my kids back in the 90s watch the series on video and they loved it too! I now have a small B9 sitting on my office desk and everybody loves it! "Warning warning!!!" And Dr Smith was a genius actor by coming up with the synergy between Will Robinson, the robot and himself that drove the last two seasons! "Oh the pain, the pain!!!" :) Those were beautiful times that I miss.... Thanks for sharing with us!
This is great! Thank you for posting this. I miss the Screensavers show. The B9 Club is still going strong after all these years and has come a long way.
Thanks for posting. What a beautiful Robot and they did a great job with lots of voices and detail. I love the Robot and LIS and just bought a mini-sized one yesterday.
Various replicas made by different craftsmen have different features. Some have the rotating "ear" antennae. There are always tradeoffs of complexity, expense, reliability. This one is a mechanized replica. The other approach is to build a prop costume that a human operator dons in pieces (with a lot of help)... That was what the original TV version was. On the mechanized replicas, realistically moving arms or tractor section are among the hardest and most expensive features to incorporate, but some have done this. To make it mechanically able to *walk* (as the Robot was seen doing in some early episodes, and was implied to do throughout the series' run) is something so complex and expensive, I don't think anyone has done it... yet.
In the series it supposedly cost about a billion dollars, and yet was almost never asked about the weather. It spent a lot of time operating outside of its box.
I wanted to be the B9 when I was a kid for Halloween trouble is I was 5'11 by the 7th grade way to tall, but I'd love to have one depending how many pennies I'd have to break out of my bank LOL
"Much to there wives chagrin" Chagrin means being frustrated or annoyed over failure disapointment or humiliation. SO... IF THEY LEAVE YOU GUYS, I WOULD MARRY ANY ONE OF YOU! They are SO lucky.
Sorry to rain on your parade but the power pack board inside of the clear plastic is upside down and it looks like it's missing the 3 round circuits on the power pack board the green frame is right though.
Hay can I ask the robot a bout lost in space I need to tell the robot that I can talk just like you robotb9robinson so do you wont to hare me talk just like you robotb9 robinson
It's a shame that the interviewer guy doesn't actually let the guys answer his question before interupting and asking another question. Awful job as an interviewer.
