Zechariah also wrote this at the leading of the Spirit: 12:10 “I [YHVH speaking] will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me [Me is YHWH] whom they have pierced [Who was pierced? Jesus]; and they will mourn for Him [changes from Me to Him - YHWH to Jesus], as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

This is contrary to the teaching of the Christian Orthodoxy, meaning it is *_not_* the teaching of the historical Church. What you are espousing here is the doctrine of Jehovah's Witnesses or even Islam. You also repeatedly use a syntactical error by asserting that the word _and_ in various passages delineates separation of identity when it does not. A perfect example of this is where Jesus and God are mentioned in 1 John 5:20, a passage in which John identifies Jesus as the only true God, just as he does in John 1:1. The Orthodoxy has held this to be meaning of these and other scriptures for 2,000 years, so don't pretend you are sharing a doctrine of the holy Apostles.

Please do a study on jesus barrabas. I find it so confusing that barabbas means 'son of the father'. A kingdom not of this world, or a kingdom of this world. Who was crucified the son of the father or the Christ?

Who is the "I" who brings the nations against Jerusalem?

Was David a royal blood line? I thought he became king from courage in battle? Or did the Lord intervene to defeat Golaith?

If I'm not mistaken, I do not believe that Jesus referred to Yahweh at all. I believe he referred to El and ABBA . And I've always wondered why? If Yahweh is Jesus's father You would think that Jesus would have mentioned his name. El Elyon is said to be the most high and that he portioned out Yahweh's share to him. I know a lot of the times it seems the two beings are merged into the same being but is that correct? I also know that Melchizedek was the high priest for the most High El Elyon and not Yahweh. Any thoughts? One thing you have to understand about Dr Tabor and people like himself, he/they aren't giving you their opinions or personal beliefs they are giving you the uncomfortable facts instead of indoctrinated and heavily influenced versions of truth the corrupt denominations and sects of organized mainstream religion. Would the translation include the word day ” “Of”…YHVH”?

Zechariah 12:10 seems to throw a wrench in this idea, "Zechariah 12:10 (NASB95) 10 “I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced;" From verse 1, it is written "Thus declares YHWH..." so this chapter is YHWH speaking, and He is saying that the inhabitants of Jerusalem will look on YHWH whom they pierced. This seems to refer to Christ's crucifixion and that the inhabitants of Jerusalem crucified YHWH.

This "the LORD" problem is prevalent throughout just about every page of every christian translation of the jewish scriptures.

Interlinear bibles show the Greek as being "Theos/Theon", not YHVH as you state at 10:58. In fact Jesus never seems to have said that Yahweh is who he considers to be his father. A lot of finessing seems to occur around this inconvenient fact. Happy to be corrected.

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am (John 8:58). In Greek the “I am” is “ἐγὼ εἰμί”. This is a quote from Exodus chapter three in the LXX. Jesus was saying that he is the one who exists eternally, the I am of the Old Testament. The Jews understood that he was claiming to be deity, and they picked up stones to put him to death. Also, Jesus is the one who fights the final battle. With the sword of his mouth he destroys the nations that come against Jerusalem. (Revelation 19:11-21).

Apparently, YHVH has feet. As it says in Zechariah 14:4, namely, “On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem”. Why do you not discuss this? However, you do agree (presumably) that YHVH will be king over all the earth. According to Ezekiel 43:6-7, the prophet tells us “While the man was standing beside me, I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple. He said: "Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever”. Again YHVH has feet. But this is not a new concept. In Exodus 24:9-11, we are told that “Israel went up and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of sapphire, clear as the sky itself. But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.” So here, the God of Israel (’ĕ·lō·hê yiś·rā·’êl) has both hands and feet. However, Isaiah has a vision of THE LORD (’ă·ḏō·nāy) seated on a throne (Isaiah 6:1). The heavenly host cries out in verse 3: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD (YHVH) Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." You say that the Messiah is never called YHVH (15 minutes 18 seconds). You even list the verses to “support” your case. This includes Jeremiah 23:5-6. Let’s look at them. "The days are coming," declares the LORD (YHVH), "when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. THIS IS THE NAME BY WHICH HE WILL BE CALLED: THE LORD (YHVH) OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." I know it's complicated. Perhaps it is summed up in this verse in John’s Gospel.: “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).

I would love to see you do a discussion on 1 Thess. 4:14 where we are told that the Father himself comes with the dead. Everyone attributes this coming to Yahshua but the scripture is clear this is God himself.... Here are my notes on the two resurrections and who invokes each resurrection: The first resurrection is the gathering of the kings and priests at the beginning of the millennium. This is clearly defined by scripture in Rev. 20:4-6. The second gathering/resurrection event occurs at the end of the millennium. If one reads John 5:28-29 the resurrection that Yahshua invokes brings forth ALL the dead, not just some. And according to these same verses in John, some of the dead that are raised are resurrected to damnation. These two descriptions of Yahshua’s resurrection point to the resurrection that occurs at end of the millennium, as the first resurrection is called the resurrection of the just/righteous and there are no scriptural indicators in Rev. 20:4:6 that wicked people are resurrected at the first resurrection. Thus, Yahshua’s resurrection must be the second resurrection at the end of the millennium where unrighteous are raised to judgement. However in conflict to Yahshua’s resurrection, the scriptures tell us in 1 Thess 4:14 that it is Yahweh himself who brings the dead with him. And Ezekiel 37:26-28 also tells that it is the Father who raises the dead and brings them into the land of Israel to live there forever. Thus, the question is, When does Yahweh do his resurrection? Keep in mind that Yahshua tells us that the Father raises who he wishes and that Yahshua raises who he wishes in John 5:26-27. This is a very strong scriptural indicator that the two resurrection events are quite different. Those in the first resurrection are called sons/children of Elohim (aka the bride of Yahweh) and they have the name of the Father on their forehead. Those in the second resurrection are called the bride of Yahshua. Yahweh is coming for his bride soon (Israel aka the 144,000) and Yahshua is coming for his bride (the nations to whom he is promised in covenant, Isa 42:6) at the end of the millennium (Isaiah 42:1-6, Isaiah 49:5-6). Keep in mind that Yahshua tells us clearly that the world will see him no more yet he will manifest or reveal himself to his followers only in John 14:19-21. Keep in mind the kingdom is coming without observation in Luke 17:20. Prophecy says that in the millennium ten men will grab the skirt of a Jew to follow him to Jerusalem because they HEAR that Yahweh is with them (Zech. 8:23). Notice they have not seen anything yet. Keep in mind that Revelation tells us the same thing, only those who keep the commandments are allowed to enter the gates, but the sinners are kept out (Rev. 22:14-15). Those from the nations that come to faith during the millennium will still have to do so based on faith. They will get no advantage over us, as all of Yahweh's judgements are fair and righteous. Every eye will only see Yahshua on that final judgement day at the end of the millennium, as that is the only day in the history of the world when all the dead and all the living will be present at the same moment in time. This is why the scripture tells us that those who pierced him will see him and mourn, as they come to the realization that their eternal condemnation is moments away. Remember, according to Yahshua’s own words, “the world seeth me no more, but ye see me, because I live, ye shall live also”. The truth is that this world does not end until the Devil, sin and death are all destroyed at the end of the millennium. If one reads 1 Cor 15:24-28 with clarity the end of the world comes when these three events occur. The word ‘end’ and its definition are clearly defined in 1 Cor 15:24-26 where we are told the end comes when our Messiah turns the kingdom back to his Father, when he defeats all his enemies (this naturally includes the Devil), and when death is destroyed. The Devil and death are clearly not defeated until AFTER the millennium according to Revelation chapter 20. The Devil is destroyed after he is released for a short time at the end of the millennium in Rev. 20:7-10, and death is defeated after this in Rev. 20:14. I would love anyone's input on this subject.....

Hello, Mr. Tabor; GOOD on YOU!, sir! So good to see/hear someone actually use the real actual Scriptures! BTW, I think "Yahwah" is an inaccurate translation based on the name seen at 2Chronicles 17. At 2Chronicles 17 we read about Jehoshaphat. Likely you are well aware of the practice of using part of God's name in individuals 'given' names, an example is Jonathan, which is the English translation of "two Hebrew names, Yonathanʹ and the longer form Yehohnathanʹ". The name Jonathan means God [Jehovah] has given. So what part of Jehoshaphat includes what part(s) of God's name is included in Jehoshaphat? Do you see what I see? Thank you for this, far too few acknowledge this very basic Scriptural FACT! Wishing you the best! PS The first Bible I read was the 1611 KJAV (the so-called Gideon's Bible). Years later I found the DNKJ Bible, which claimed God's name had been replaced some 7,000 times in the King James version where the name appears only four times. I especially appreciated John 17:3, where Jesus said; "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." There Jesus refers to himself *and* to "the only true God".

When I was doing translation work in college, it always bothered me that most translations of the theonym 'YHWH' rendered it as 'the LORD'. From what I remember, translators did this so as to not 'use the name of YHWH your God in vain'. I'm not sure about that but the substitution of 'LORD' for 'YHWH' always stood out to me. Some say the Mount of Olives. Some say the Garden of Gethsemane. It would be funny if there was a translation glitch somewhere along the way and His actual return will be at the Olive Garden :)

Exactly dr. Tabor. That is the wrong translation common in more western translations. The Slavonic translations don't make this mistake as we can read in the first translation of Cyril and Methodius. In some Dutch translations Reformed and Catholic they wrote the Tetragrammaton or the Eternal one for God and Lord for denoting Christ.

LORD JOHOVAH in Zech. 14:1 is speaking of Yeshua. Gen. 1:26 speaks of 'we' and 'our', so who do you suppose they are if it's not The Son and The Holy Spirit?

I'm so glad you're correcting the world, about God, and then also about Jesus, as the Christians ✝️ are not completely accurate about what the Torah (Bible) is saying about the history of the Torah, after it was translated into English, the Jewish ✡ Torah was not, translated properly by those who did Tru to translate it to English, the misunderstanding has been going on for far too long, and we really need to get it tidied up and running correctly on this, so we stop the problem of understanding of what is actually mentioned in our Torah

Good stuff. Indeed, the NT does not confuse between YHVH (God) and His Messiah, the Lord Jesus. There are hundreds of examples - you've given a few. A couple more real clear examples: Acts 2:36, 1 Cor. 6:14. Thanks for the notes. I wish you would have delved a bit into "his feet" (14:4). Is this an anthropomorphism, or perhaps agency, that is, could it be a reference to just a few verses back, to the House of David (13:1), the Shepherd, the man who is YHVH's associate (13:7) who is commissioned and empowered by YHVH (like David)? YHVH goes forth by sending His servants. As in other places in the Bible, YHVH visits and comes by sending his commissioned people. E.g., he "visited" Israel by sending Moses and Aaron. I also wonder if there is any connection to the departure of YHVH's glory from Jerusalem via the mountain east of Jerusalem (Eze. 11:23) and this dramatic return described in Zechariah.

It is fascinating discussion and I find myself wondering if, aside from the Catholic Jerusalem Bible, anyone with credibility has created a responsible modern Bible that includes historically accurate precise translations and the remove the male dominance of the entire text because it is only within the modern world so far as we know have women been educated at scale and more importantly given real choice over childbearing, again at scale. My thought is that whoever the Creator is the men had enough control over education, economics, sex and law that they could write promote and enforce teachings which established and protected their power but the ultimate creator seems to have opened the opportunity for a different social world and universal structure.

*the idea of a Savior is WAY OLDER than Judaeism. In the Zoroastrian religion there is SAOSHYANT who comes to save the world. In Hinduism which is 5 thousand years old, the Kalki Avtar comes to save the world. In ancient Sumer, which is WAY OLDER than the Jews, about 6 thousand years ago, they expect a Savior who comes to destroy all evil and resurrect the dead. Same thing in Mithraism. Why Anglo-Saxons think that Judaism applies to them is mind boggling. The Torah is not meant for Anglo-Saxons. Neither is any concept in the Torah. Jesus was a Jewish man who studied the Torah and preached in the synagogues. He did not say to have a new religion called Christianity. That is all man-made stuff.

Just to "confirm" this, going off the KJV and verse 3, Yeshua has never fought in the day of battle (yet). Also going off my understanding, (happy to be corrected) its not talking of God, its talking about an angel with God's name in it. If it was talking about God setting his feet on the mount of olives, the earth would probably explode or something similar. The angel its talking about we have to go back to exodus 23:20 onwards. Its says God put his name in this angel. The angel is probably Michael because Michael means "God is with me" Again from my understanding when the bible says LORD, more often than not its talking about this angel. If it says LORD of hosts (armies) it is talking about God

The bible specified that it is the Lord Jesus Christ who will return (a.k.a. "The Day of the Lord") to end man's rule, judge the nations/people (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 1:10-18), and become King of Israel and the world (Zechariah 14 :9). Note that He admitted to Pilate that He is "King of the Jews" (Matt. 27:11, 42; John 18:37) and Pilate himself believed it (John 19:19). There are so many verses supporting the return of Jesus the Messiah, but I'll just cite some. When Jesus was resurrected, just before His ascension, the disciples asked Him if He is going to restore the kingdom to Israel. He said to them, "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority..." Then the disciples looked up into the sky as Jesus was going, suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them saying, “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? First, when it comes to translations, interpretations or understanding of the Scriptures, the scholars have done a thorough job of translating the Scriptures. The problem we have is one's view or belief of what's being said. You will have both Hebrew and Greek scholars from two different schools of learning come away with two different views of a passage of Scripture. Does this mean there's a mistranslation? Of course not. As to your interpretation of this passage of Almighty God landing His feet on the earth proves that you have no understanding of the Almighty. The one problem is that god doesn’t have feet to stand on the Mt of Olives. The two powers concept in some Jewish circles could reconcile this. Or that verse in Exodus 23:21 that says his name will be in this messenger. A Moses type figure is also mentioned in Deut 18:15-19 who also has his name speaking in his authority.
