11:05 OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG, I never noticed that. "I wished you had believed me." I never even read what it said because it was in cursive. Thank you for making this video. You pieced things together so good. This show is very complex and has a ton of references that are important and are easy to miss. So thanks to you and everyone that takes the time to make these even if the show ended a longtime ago.
I loved your "LOST: THe History of John Locke & Jack Shephard" and i just stumbled upon this clip. It was so well made that I had to check who made this... et voila.. it is you :) No big surprise tbh. Great work
Phenomenal video - the best from Lost I've seen. I can't believe it took RU-vid this long to recommend it to me! (The aspect ratio isn't ideal, of course, and the background music is loud enough at times to make it very hard to hear the dialogue. But I'm assuming that was to avoid copyright issues, which I understand.) I love how you edited that together. Even little things like showing Jack saying "I guess we'll just have to see which one of us is right" to the MIB, followed immediately by Locke having said the same thing to Jack much earlier. Of course, to me the Locke and Jack personas and relationship were the very core of this show, so it makes sense that this resonates with me. John Locke himself is not only my favorite character from the show, but probably my favorite fictional character ever. In some key ways, I actually relate to him. I even made a music level of Locke's theme music in the game Super Mario Maker a couple years, and included narration depicting his story via in-level comments. Pretty much every quote I used was shown in your video. (I would've included far more than I did - such as others found in this video - but there was only so much I could fit space-wise.) I made sure to record mine for RU-vid as well. (I also made one for the show's concluding Moving On music piece.) Anyway, awesome work - I absolutely loved it!
Wow! Watching those scenes all over again hasn't taken an ounce out of its impact on me. Heavy, deep stuff. If this video doesn't put those who've never seen this amazing saga into a 'can't-wait-to-see-this' state, I don't know what will. Though Jack's character is hated by a lot of ppl, I find his redemption arc very real and gripping. John getting back on his feet started him off on his belief path. For Jack that came much later. He was only as flawed as the rest of them. RIP, Jack & Locke.
Excellent video, though I like the previous "It´s a leap of fatih" better. I think it's a must see for Lost followers. It gives the story a beautiful closure.
Denial was the sane reaction jack had, the show got this part right! Destiny and feeling of the unknown force, is an experience everyone can have in real-life, humans are programmed to reject things as much as accept things it’s “ego” and “leap of faith”, Time is one of the realiest enemies to us. Can we beat time and reach the Let Go phase and believe in Time? Whatever religion people have, the concept the show played is an accurate interpretation. And I believe humans ultimate goal should be, let go their ego, and “submit” “believe” life gets corrected after that phase. Good luck humanity, you guys believe in “It” but you just don’t know it yet.
