Man, I'm from Sofia and at some point of your video I thought " Wow, he's so brave and decisive in taking these shortcuts!" Be careful next time, at some parts of the video I was quite worried of you getting lost. Don't underestimate the mountain. However, I'm really glad you got to Kopitoto, the view from there is totally worth it! :)

Me and my boyfriend are travelling to Bucharest and Sofia (then Athens) in just a few weeks time, so your videos have arrived just in time! Very useful, thank you!

Kopitoto isnt the top of the mountain. Its pretty far from it. Kopitoto is almost 1000 meters under the highest peak in Vitosha.

Yep, like I said in the video I went via Kopitoto on my way down :)

Cherni Vruh (Black Peak) is the top of Vitosha you could have reached it from Golden Bridges via a track that takes you to a Hut/Cafe (Kumata Hut) you were on the track towards Kumata at 9:55 from there you would have found people taking the walk to the peak,, You were actually a long way short of the peak but it was clearly a nice day for a walk on the hill, no matter how far you got.

When you walk on a road like that you should walk on the left side so you we have the cars on your side coming from in front, so you can see them easy...

Thanks man, actually after I stopped recording those few clips at the beginning I did switch to walking on the left hand side, I'm quite aware of that rule 😉

This is one of my favorite of your travel videos. The story you told while trekking up the mountain was hilarious!

Kopitoto is not the highest peak in Vitosha and it's famous for the TV tower from which they used to transmit TV signal. The highest peak is Cherni Vrah. You can take one of the two lifts we have from Dragalevtsi or from Simeonovo, and after that you have a long way to walk to the peak. And it's not dangerous. There's no way of getting lost if you chose this way. Maybe you could try to climb mount Cherni Vrah next time. Good luck. Great videos by the way!

Nice video but you cou could do it better - there are really beautiful places at Vitosha mountain and you could climb Cherni vrah (the Black peak) - the top of the mountain :)

When Bulgarians shake their head left to right they mean yes. When they nod up and down they mean no. So you could have used the toilet in the cafe.
