Theory: After the backlash for Matt's pitiful first attempt at Jester's accent, Kiri was introduced as a backdoor for him to practice her voice in realtime before Laura takes maternity leave.

The party were the wizard is dirty and the barbarian is super into hygiene and cleanliness.

Everyone is so sweet and funny reacting to Laura with her pregnancy hormones/rage, but I just have to note how incredibly sweet and caretaking Sam is the entire time. He makes jokes that are so supportive of her/trying to build her up and holds her chair out, gently sits next to her and tries to soothe her, often. It’s quite wonderful.

The contrast between Beau asking Fjord for advice on how to be a socially functional adult and Caleb asking Yasha is amazing.

My favorite part of this episode is everyone looking through the chest of religious icons to find their own outlawed deity.

These cat stats make no sense. No darkvision and advantage on perception for smell but not hearing. Clearly whoever wrote the rules never had a cat.

Oh, I just feel terrible for Laura in this episode! She was having such terrible luck, and at this point, she is right in that part of the pregnancy where you're starting to feel uncomfortable all the time, you're easily overwhelmed, your hormones are pumping in a way that makes you feel like an angsty teenager, the fact that she shows up for almost every episode despite being pregnant is laborious. I feel you, girl!

There are so many reasons to like Travis (and the others). But one thing I find particularly wonderful, is whenever Matt corrects him on a rule, he never gets upset, he just says "Lesson learned". He knows Matt isn't there to be a dick, he's just upholding the rules, and he respects it.

I love the roleplaying advice: always ask the least qualified person at the table for advice 😂 as Caleb is asking 7 CHA Yasha for help working well in a group.

I feel compelled to compliment whomever it was that thought to put the character portraits on the screen. It really helps the viewing experience!

Pregnancy hormones and terrible dice roles are NOT a great combination. It was a little funny but I just wanted to give Laura a hug.

Kiri is just the absolute cutest. I never thought about playing a Kenku like this, but it's really cute.

I really wish they had Caleb tried to Identify Fjord in an attempt to get the orb info, and then Matt just handed him a identification item card for Fjord.

Sam's Hydrophobia is some of the best roleplaying in this episode.

During the period where they are looking over the orb and Fjord just touches it with no warning. I just. As a fellow wizard that just wants to sit down and take a few minutes to do things right for most of my games, Caleb tossing the glasses to the side and sighing is such a damn relatable feeling.

I love how beau wanted to apologise and went to fjord for advice. I love how patient he is with her and how he’s non judgemental and just tries to educate her on how to be a better person. Also his advice was amazing and I loved the part where he told her don’t be afraid to apologise. A very lovely moment 😊

Not gonna lie, I teared up when Caleb hugged Beau and told her that her apology wasn't necessary. Nott's immediate defense of him makes my heart hurt.
