I think what separates it is it’s cool looks/feel and it’s efficiency! Solid razor for sure. I think he’s dropping more this month so keep an eye out. Thanks for watching!
Great shave John! I fell in love with Oregon just smelling it off the tub. I just wish it was a bit stronger scent wise but otherwise very safe scent and toned down enough to allow me to wear to the office.
Yeah i see what you mean! I treat this like its my Calm from Lothur. Very pleasant and soothing to nose. Agreed definitely suitable for casual wear. Cheers Marko
Great shave John! This scent is killer for sure! I love it! I wish it was a tad stronger as well, but I understand the reasoning for the scent strength. Lothur’s been hitting some home runs lately!
Thanks Justin glad you like it! Seems pretty hard not to like imo. I could see what you mean with the strength . I think depending on the scent it becomes easier or harder to make it strong enough for people’s satisfactory all while maintaining safety. Seems like a tough balance so I give credit to the artisans that put in the effort with that sort of thing. Excited to see what he does this year
The envoy is a bit on the aggressive side. If you stick with it and learn the razor you can get consistently great shaves from it. I’d probably recommend thr Ambassador over it when it’s sale. It would be a safer purchase since it’s adjustable. It is also on the aggressive side due to positive exposure. I prefer the Blackbird so I sold mine
I've had the worst shave with Astra Blue with Fatip Piccolo. Mostly my fault because I chased BBS and buffing the hell out of my face. Haven't tried the blade since that shave about a year back.
Haha my thoughts exactly . A year ago i scraped my face badly with he CG level 2+astra blue never used them till this shave. So I would say maybe they are worth revisiting if you’re up to it :)
Interesting I’ll have to check those sharps out! My friend told me he hated the PAA blades so much that he tossed the 100 pack so I’ll probably pass on those 😆
@@johnshaves1996 Yeah, people have been polarized on those. I'd get a single tuck, at most, to try. If you wanna try something uncommon which I've only heard good things about I'd recommend the Personna Viking Sword blades (not the amazon version), Lord Platinums before they got popular recently, and the Sharp Ti blades which are Wizamet level imo
