Hi Molly! Your channel is great. How do you think this harp compares to the Backyard Music Fireside Folk Harp Kit (The cardboard harp)? I'm thinking of getting one or the other to start with harp. Does either sound better than the other? Many blessings.
I don't see a string chart in that box. How would you know which strings to use for replacements? And where did you find Danny Boy playable on 15 strings? Or were you using a lead sheet? Now I watched to the end. Did you create your sheet music book for the 15-string harp? Where is it available?
I might get one of these if my niece shows an interest in “playing” my harp when she’s a couple years older….thanks for showcasing them! As for decorating, stencils are always fun and easy. You can make your own out of recycled plastic lettuce packages, or melt wax (naturally being aware of wax’s heat point) onto cardstock, let it soak the paper, and then cut it. Both methods work. After that you can practice stenciling on paper first before your tackling the actual item. 😬
I have always wanted to try stenciling but I've never done it! Maybe this is the motivation I need 😊 And yes, these are fantastic harps for young kids! Nice and small and pretty inexpensive!
HI! how cute is your harp :) for some strange reason, seeing your videos, I got curious and bought a harp very similar to this one... I was wondering, since they are actually "toys" (real harps are expensive unattainable), can they be played like the lyre harp? I have a two-octave one and I saw on another video that a lady replaced the harp strings with those of the lyre and the sound was completely changed, making it much warmer and more engaging. I was wondering, by putting on gut ones, will the sound change even more, resembling a quality one? could you give me some advice to improve the sound? Unfortunately I don't like it at the moment.

I've been looking at cheap amazon harps but nervous because there were few reviews left on any, and I wanted to hear what it actually sounded like before purchasing. I live in an apartment so I don't want a large floor harp going up 4 flights of stairs and being so loud it bothered the neighbors.
I saw these on Amazon. It looks a lot like the Aklot harp but white. I am so glad they got the string colors correct. You probably remember I did a video on how to fix the string colors because it frustrated me so much. LOL. Whew. Anyway, it looks like a good little lap harp.
I think it is practically the same harp! It's really pretty, and I definitely appreciate the correct string colors - I think your video helped a lot of people 😊

I hardly know much about harps so far, and I was wondering if you could help me figure out what to do. I broke the middle C string (or at least the middle C string on this harp) a day after I got it, and I've been playing without it ever since because my dad and I are concerned about the gauge. Since there isn't much information about 15 string harps on Google, I thought you'd be able to help
I'm considering getting one of these little harps soon! I have a harpsicle that I love, but I think a tiny harp would be nice to just take around the house and to the park. :)
Beautiful sound, love these affordable harp. Just received mine 19 strings levers harp, I believe made by the same manufacturer since the strings comes in weird colors like you mentioned. Even though only 5 out of 19 levers shift the the note whole tone instead of semitones (F5 to C6) I still be able to play many songs and continue learning about wonderful harp instruments world.
You can regulate your harp levers so that they are in tune! I had to do that last week. Miss Molly has a great video about that as well. It’s honestly not too hard, just time consuming.
@@jillc2700 thank you I need to check that video out. Also did the manufacturer cut cost on harp strings by providing us with Tennis/ Badminton rackets' strings instead of usual harp strings?
I actually tried looking it up on the Canadian Amazon and only found the Aklot stained version. I like the white too! Great little harp for students when teaching a class!
Hello, I'm new to your channel but I think it's great; you have a wonderful personality. I'm wondering if you have heard of an FX pedal called the Oceans 11 by ElectroHarmonix? I was watching your Kalimba vid that had a pickup and I thought that the pedal would be something you would like, creates really nice ambient chilled sounds on certain settings as well as your usual plate/spring reverbs etc, just thought I'd mention it :) PS Danny Boy always hits me in the gut, wonderful song. Somebody must be cutting onions near me lol
