When Christian said how challenging it is when the whole table is against you, I felt that. Happens to me nearly every game lately, even when my board state clearly isn’t the biggest threat in the game lol

Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this sometimes. Ultimately, though, what I realised is that being 'always the threat' is a title that is earned over many victories. From my friends perspective, they have seen me win out of nowhere (especially with a control deck) so many times that I do understand their fear. Hopefully that helps ease the pain a little! 😁 Christian

Nice i really like the LOTR scene boxes and theres a lack of content around this release, feels like its gotten very little fanfare and overshadowed by Caverns of Ixalan a bit. So cool to see you guys do an ep for them.

So many forgotten Gandalf and guttersnipe triggers (disdainful stroke, press the enemy, stroke of midnight, ...) 😢 Also, do note that standard counterspells are not that good in Gandalf since the effect is not a may, but a forced consequence. This means the suspended counter will necessarily fizzle. Using modular counterspells such as archmage charm or cryptic command works extremely well though!

I have a Galadriel, light of valinor deck that totally blows ppl away. It’s a very serious value monster of a deck and it’s not even half optimized for that value. You get a copy of your commander out, chicane teller of tales and some creature based card draw engines out and your hand never falls below 7, you get at least three creatures out every turn and at least 2 lands if not 6 out every turn. Then suddenly the number of counters starts to double and then creatures enter with like 5-8 counters already and then you find one of the enchantments you need and it’s game over. So much fun to play

Renown triggers on combat damage to a player. It does not trigger on attack. Good game nonetheless.

@@TheChadMagic Yeah I'm building this deck. If you somehow have 2 counters on a creature but it's not yet renowned, it goes to 3. Then next turn it will go to 6.

I just got gifted Galadriel for Christmas from one of my friends. Already deconstructed Lathril and Galea to make the deck. Focus is all what Galadriel already does: Scry, Plus one counters and mana ramping. With elf tokens of course. I can’t wait to test and tweak it!

Just got the Galadriel box in the mail. Want to build her, but would have to poach cards from other decks, mostly my Elrond, Master of Healing Scry-centric deck. He is good in Galadriel's 99 though. His deck can easily get little elves up to 10/10 plus with all the scrying... and help from Hardened Scales, Ozolith, and Kami of Whispered Hopes ;)

That’s why she’s such a great commander! There are so many directions you can take the deck in! My plan was to clone Galadriel many times for pure value - didn’t really get that fully online but a well-timed Craterhoof and fog saw me through!

Wally could have stacked the triggers to make his elves 7/7 or whatever from the Master Biomancer before World Tree checks the power and it would allow him to draw a card per elf.

Actually Tom is not the only person to think that Sauron was a a unifier…his end goal was noble even if the means to get there might not have been the easiest way but still a noble goal

However neither Suaron nor Melkor before him (and others like the dwarves) were invited to Eru’s sandbox to destroy and recreate things as in their image. So is bullying considered noble? Is destruction and recreation in ones own image justified and “noble”?

Well spotted! Tom and I were shot on my new work phone! Not 100% happy with it as I think we look a little washed out but it's always a learning process with new cameras!
