Boulderdash and I metal detect lots of gold nuggets in western Arizona. Detectors used : Minelab GPX 5000 Minelab GP 3000 Minelab Gold Monster 1000 Fisher Gold Bug 2
have you thought about getting a GPX 6000 or a GPZ 7000 really good machines ....the 6000 can find super small Gold and its lightweight .... beautiful little nuggies ....have ya seen the scoops with the riffles in them ....we love them you can pan with them too hahhhaha.....nice looking walking stick ...we smashed that like button too sonny Jim
I`m watching your latest vid right now ! I love this 5000 , its capable of more than most people know . Im smashing your like button sonny Jim ! come on , lets go !
I was using my bare hand as you are to sort a target in the scoop, got stung by a red ant on my pinky finger and it was pretty painful. Lasted for hours too. Benadryl helped alot. But I now wear gloves when targeting out the scoop! Be careful folks especially if youre allergic to bee stings etc..
Hey brothers I would love to go detecting with you just so I could listen to y’all talking back and forth. Y’all had a good day finding nuggets and I enjoyed it
Love that side of Arizona Biggest nugget I’ve ever held in my hand was from quartzite. (26 g) wasn’t mine but was still cool to hold . If you only saw one person I’d guess it was Eli working his claim. Very nice nuggets you guys collected. There was a big storm there last fall and it flooded every wash out there and moves tons of material . I reckon that’s why you found those pieces so near the surface. There’s a lot of gold out there buried under that caleche but digging it with electric rhoto hammers is brutal work. Great adventure and well done adam nice to see you put a whooping on Boulder dash 😂😂 jk Boulder dash thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
Bye the way.... I've always been aware of farmers tan but you guys showed me the prospectors tan......white hands to the wrist and tanned arms to the sleeve line....nice!
Adam and Wade digging up the desert again! Good to see you guys getting the yellow. I've been camping here at Jackass Flats for a few weeks and dug up 4 chunks. Way to go guys....
Hey great video been watch for 4 years now you guy inspired me to get out there and make video myself life kinda took hold but im getting back at it ill be posting sunday thank you for the inspiration !!!!! You know my mining partner Brandon !!
That 14x9 evo is my favorite coil! I need to do a comparison because I'm not convinced the sdc can outshine it in any way, headed out to our new hot spot today and excited been up since 3am waiting for Amy to wake up😵💫 enjoyed! Can't wait to see you guys back out drywashing to AWSOME!
Good luck out there ! I`ve never been to excited about the SDC myself, but it may have its place. I do like that it is compact but other than that....You may see some dry washing on a MEGA scale hopefully. I think the air force is going to start training at lower altitudes soon too, so keep an eye out
Nice finds and I didn't have to get a sore throat from the caleche dust watching you. Those cholla needles are brutally painful, too. Lucky for you the wind didn't blow any needles into you like what happened to me. It was about a month after I'd been down there when I felt a pain in my foot wearing the boots I'd worn on that trip and found a needle in the boot. It was about this time of year when I was with my 2 brothers on one of my brothers claim about 10 miles from Quartzite. I got a signal on a high bench but couldn't break it out of the crack. It might have been a hot rock.Found about a half gram of really tiny pieces in 3 days. I found more on the middle fork of the Yuba river in about 2 hours on a rest on the drive down from Washington to meet up with my brothers in San Diego. I enjoyed the wildlife with doves, rabbits and coyotes and lizards of all discription and not a drop of rain and pretty warm, too.
Wow, you guys killed it. I know you both put your time in, so you earned it. Keep the videos coming, I really enjoy your channel and the way you two clown around.
Really "dig" your videos man! Maybe i'll catch you out there one day. The gold really likes to hide in cracks but it's really hard to hide from those machines! Keep up the good work & thanks for sharing.
@@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK Maybe some of that compressed air (in a can), that they use for cleaning out dust from computers would help and a good pair of tweezers? You guys are great.
Great video !! Love seeing all those cracks in bedrock you're working. Getting some amazing nuggies !! Haven't been prospecting out there yet. Maybe one of these days. Are they doing the rock show in Quartzite this year ? Best of luck to you guys !! 🤠⛏⚒👍👍👍
I noticed every time he grabs a handful of dirt from the scoop he doesn't run it over the coil and just tosses it. It's possible you could tossing away nuggets aside from what's in your scoop. Hope you understood what I'm trying to say. 😁
Cool finds. I been dying to run my sluice box but so little rain. Wanna hit box canyon/creek. Near wickenberg. Maybe Lynx as well. We really need some storms to roll thru it's just bad.
Nice video, looked like a fun day. A little deja vu back to the eighties with Gold Bugs, lol. Just curious, no doubt you guys know what your doing, and each have multiple pounds under your belts, so how come your not chasing the bigger stuff with monster coils down there?
@@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK I still think big coils big nuggets. Besides I'm old and don't like to bend over, lol. Last week my prize was a beautiful 2.75 oz chunk.
You two are hilarious, him flickin the nugget out and you sayin oh let’s just forget the whole thing cracked me up lover the video y’all are some gold findin sons a bitches!
Thanks for the video! Nice finds, love the bedrock. The area I've been hunting has very little bedrock, but that's where almost all of the gold I've been finding has been. Any tips for hunting thick beds of paleo-placers with little to no bedrock exposed? I've been trying the gulches, ravines, and blow outs, but with no luck. I fear the gold has gone way to deep for a detector in these areas, so maybe I'm checking the wrong spots?
I just picked up an Equinox 800 a few days ago, I want to find at least one little nugget before we leave Quartzite for the summer but I don't know exactly where I can legally prospect in the Q, I was thinking of walking the washes ? But still the laws are so hard to understand and locate. What area has a claim? Etc etc. I have about 1 1/2 weeks to figure it out before we start heading north for the summer. I am also sad I couldn't find a Pointer for sale 😔 the only shop in town said hes having a hard time getting them and hes closing soon to Head to Alaska. A Garrett or a Minelab pointer is what I want not enough time left to order one online. Oh well. Anyway I've always been interested in this hobby since I was a kid and never had time until I retired. I was on call for work no life 😞
You really don’t need a pinpointer. Yes there are a lot of mining leases in Quartzsite that you definitely don’t want to be metal detecting on. You must learn how to research where claims are or join a prospecting club before you go to Quartzsite again. Otherwise, there is lots of gold In Alaska.
@@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK yeah I'm not going to Alaska any time soon lol 🤣 the guy who runs the shop is heading up there. They have a Gold camp but it's too Rich for my blood unless I find a bunch of nuggets down here.
Two questions for you guys: 1) Is there not a pin-point detector you can use specifically for these nuggets? 2) Following the “gold is where you ding it” motto, would it be worth come back to these spots with a dry or wet sluice to look for smaller stuff? Thanks in advance!
@@kellykathymcdaniel7834 So the Gold monster is very easy to use , and the basic instructions will work fine. Bill Southern has some videos on how to use the machine on his channel. Here ru-vid.com
Wish I were there... Quartzsite is kind of close to Havasu, have you tried detecting around there? Question is it easier to use the Gold monster 1000 vs. the GPX6000? If which you probably do, which would you use? Thanks Dave...
I believe there is gold close to Havasu. You have to just go out there and try. The gold monster 1000 is really easy to use. But you have the best of both worlds with those two detectors for gold nuggets.
No we arent. Members of AMRA, and used to be members of Roadrunners,MPA, and GSSN. Its best to find a club that has claims where you want to prospect, and go from there
Pinpointers are for people just getting into the hobby. We travel really light so the last thing we need is another electronic device to carry around .
Newbies may not be able to tell, but us oldtimers can spot a fake, salted video BLINDFOLDED! With any luck, you'll be there the 1st week of March when I get there!
With any luck you'll not make it here and you'll stay far away! Hope I don't run into your attitude! You may hope not to as well. Good lord! Adam and Boulder Dash, y'all have been hands down, a top inspiration for me. It took four years for me to build my dream of getting here, and in that time I watched and listened to your content, rather than be some a$$hole like this guy. Seriously. Thank you guys for the knowledge, tips, and simple inspiration in my spare time. Even if you don't pan you views around as much as I wish you would in some spots. Haha! 🕵️ I wanted to go try and meet folks at the show here in Q but my anxiety/PTSD doesn't allow me to go to those places. I always run into people like this Chihuahua commenting guy, and things generally don't go good. Some of us do this for the mental health and peace it provides. Folks like this commenter, I don't know why they bother. Soul suckers! I guess they just need the attention. Washed up and shown new things they don't wanna believe, so they attack rather than learn and join in on the fun. What a mindset. Me, I'm just a guy who likes to light em up so they click my channel and see one more person ACTUALLY OUT HERE doing it. 💪 They are just begging for attention, let's give em more! As ole Jeff Williams would say, get of the couch sonny boy! Hahahah ya old bitter coot! Stay away! Gonna be too hot for ya anyways!
Cha’ Kaula yeah these guys spent that last 6 years salting the southwest desert, busting their asses to move hundreds or cubic meters of dirt into buckets, sweat their asses off, bleed, and all the while filming, documenting and teaching just to pretend they are finding gold……🙄🙄🙄
@@VendettaProspecting look at the algorithm chatter building the channel up! Normally I ignore it but these men work way too hard and do not deserve to get ragged on for no reason. I tried to look up the channel to see how it's really done but all I saw was someone sitting a chair eating cheetoes....could've been my reflection!
