I showed my daughter the video of when you went to the Madonna inn and she says when she turns 21 she wants me to take her there which I definitely will thanks for making those awesome videos
I have a '68 Charger that has 69 front fenders. A bunch of internet experts told me it was actually a 69 because of the fenders. I just ignored them. And those panels are either called "Trunk Extensions", "Quarter Panel Extensions" or "Trunk Drops"!
Glad you're going to bring the 68 back to life! What an iconic muscle car the first year of the best looking Chargers! Hemi four speed? That would really be WICKED! PEACE ✌️
Yeah the new mics work great. Love that you are going to put new quarters and trunk floor extensions (the correct term) on the Charger. Good wheel choice too. Plus all the other parts you showed us will make it cool. The 67 Chevelle sounds like it will be a blast too. Good luck with the beach bash and trash collect event!
I love you guys. I found Liv on Vice grips Derricks ORiellys channel. Following him for the last four years. I'm a true subscriber for sure. I live in Miami now and bought an Elictric bike 😂😂 I own a 99 Silverado 3 door but never drive it. You guys make an awesome couple. I like You (Danny)more knowing you smoke cigearettes. Keep up the good work and God Bless💪🇮🇹🇮🇹
So glad I found this channel you guys are great! I recently started watching, and you already got me taking steps towards getting my 67 Tempest back on the road. Can’t wait to see the awd Chevelle come together!
Oh yah,the mics are awsome. Im super excited about the charger build. Ive recently gotten involved with a well known shop that builds mopars and im learning a ton about them.😉😉
The right choice on the charger . Give it all the love ❤️ and you shall receive all the rewards as well as the upgrade on the mics the sound quality is spot on . Can you say purrrrfecttt.
Lots to touch on, here. Tech-wise, the clip-on mics improve the sound over a distance; up close, your stock setup has much better quality, at least to my ears. The windsocks are pretty ridiculous-looking, but work well on blustery occasions. There's a pic of me on my FB page, playing drums at an outdoor gig many moons ago. It was a windy day, and we were doing a soundboard recording of the show. To make sure my drum mics didn't literally get blown out, I pulled some foam rubber out of one of my bass drums, did some quick surgery with my trusty butterfly knife, and came up with three windsocks for the mics. As can be seen in the FB pic, they're crude and ugly as all get-out, but 100% effective - my drums came through clearly on the recording, with no wind noise whatsoever. Car-wise, I love the fact that the Orange One is getting gobs of TLC. He was born the same year I was, so he's earned a bit of pampering, if his old skin is any indication of the life he led before y'all adopted him. The Magnum 500 wheels hit another sweet spot with me; they're my second favorite design, right behind the good ol' Pontiac Rally{e} II's. The cool thing about the 500's is that Chrysler, Ford, and GM all had various "sport" models kitted out with Magnum 500's as standard equipment. Sort of a universal factory-aftermarket scenario, dig? Daniel-san, if you haven't sorted out proper wheels and tires for the Chevelle yet, I'd like to humbly put forth a plug for the 1987 Monte Carlo SS 5-spoke aluminum wheels {which were also offered for the IROC Z-28 Camaro}. For some, they're an acquired taste; but for my money, they're bitchin' as Hell. AND lightweight, too. I've seen both '66 and '67 Malibus rolling on those rims, and it's a pretty good feast for the eyes, believe me. Finally, I'll be with you in spirit for the beach cleanup. I've only just begun the overhaul and upgrades for my old jalopy, but it's going to be a slow slog at best, 'cos this is my first build. That, plus the fact that the last week of my vacation time for this year is going to be burned when I have my second carpal-tunnel surgery - well, you get the idea. As the saying goes, there's always next year. Okay, the blather-gauge needle has finally sunk to E, so I'm Happy Trail-bound. A million thanks for the superb content, be good to yourselves and each other, skip the gutter, Ver G`harget, all rights reserved, glad to meet me, two rounds of Colortinis for the house, put it all on Geraldo's tab, buy a Chrysler, vote Vegetable, and don't you ever forget it, Maternal Fornicator!! Drummer is now in the wind.🥸 {Whoopsie - forgot to mention that the cigarette case is a total gas, along the lines of the bud vases in the original Volkswagen Beetles!!}
I never had any trouble hearing you guys and I've seen most of your videos. The beach clean-up is a good idea. Have family fun and doing something worthwhile. I live up in Harbor Springs, Michigan (on the water). We have lots of beach parks etc and beach clean-ups are popular and beneficial for everyone. Good job!! Also, as hokey as it may sound, I appreciate the lack of "f-bombs" and vulgarity in your videos. It makes them enjoyable for me AND my gandsons....😊
The new mics are an excellent choice an sound so clear crisp Great quality mics for sure major improvement for the videos, an it will be much easier to hear yas when your outside in the wild , wind an background noises wont drown your voices out !! 💯 Also so happy to see your giving the 68 charger the live it deserves , this is going to be a great build series !! So looking forward to it an the chevelle build too! You guys are great an produce great vidoes I always enjoy them ! From a guy in Canada .. Kingston Ontario 👍👍
That's great to hear your going to properly fix the 2nd gen charger. They all deserve to be properly cared for now (even though they're not actually not all the well built cars lol). Mics sound great.
You only need the fuzzy wind socks on the mics when the wind is blowing. You don’t need them inside or outside if the wind is calm. The mics make a huge improvement!
I agree with liv about how do u know if it’s recording because if not that could b hard work waisted and also the breathing part hahaha … Anyway thanks for the videos and taking us along 👍👍💯💯 fun to watch the channel grow and a big ole Cheers 🍻
Charger is going to be Awesome Gnarly, we all said that in the 60s and 70s and Boss. Groovie, out a sight , Bicthen.,And Many more sayings great time for Hot Rods and to grow up.
Finally! We can hear you! Mics. sound great, keep using them. They may be a hassle to you, but they make the content so much better for us. Now if you will just film what you are doing when you actually work on something, instead of saying "we'll be back after we get these parts installed". Let us see the work, not just the results. 😎
Those Mic's worked great, i had to turn down the volume on the video, the blk panel for the charger was a game changer, i always liked that body style, i hope you don't have to break open your piggy bank to do both builds, i've never seen a cigarette dispenser like that, next you need an 8 track stereo so you can blast it cruising down the road..
That’s cool saving any classic car from a rusty grave or a crushed grave is awesome 👍 keep up the great work I love the old Pontiac I had a 67 Le Mans that I miss
Yes I would have to agree with you guys. This video is all over. Hope your beach pick up and show is a success. And looking foward to the Charger build. The microphone test was good. Thank you for sharing! 💯👍👊
Magnificent sound quality in case you didn't know 68 charger has round side markers and round tail lights the 69 had rectangular side running lights with the rectangular tail lights. Things could have already been changed. looks like you have the original quarters in the rear.. it needs a eight or ten speed. 727s 10 mi to the gallon road trip? I think a modern transmission. We'll give it a big advantage. Gnarly's speed shop is the best
The best way to replace those quarters are to drill out all the spot welds and weld it in by using the holes that you drilled out it comes out nice and just like the factory would of done.
Hello Danny and Liv, good informative vlog. The two projects are great cars and I am looking forward to the AWD Chevelle getting completed and even making passes. Thanks for sharing, Rob.
I have been enjoying your videos and I am really looking forward to your Charger build, as far as the mics I never had a problem with the sound, and I kinda like when you are close to the camera ,it makes it more personal
My gut is telling me that when y'all finish this thing it's gonna be exactly what it is. A 68 Charger. They're so awesome just the way they were designed and built. I also don't smell another General Lee on the horizon. There's already plenty of those. The last thing the world needs is another one. I wish you well and all the luck and success on this one.
New mics are an improvement, just use the fuzzies in the wind, like at the beach. Anyone who doesn't know those taillights mean a 68, well don't listen to them. 68 is best year charger.
'68-'70 Chargers have the same body however they have different front rear fascias. 68s have a continuous front grill with separate bumper and four round taillights (bullit). 69s have the split front grill with detached bumper and the long taillights (general Lee). 70s have a continuous grill but it is also incorporated with the bumper and covers the entire front including hood these also have the same long taillights (fast and furious).
Excited to see the charger build the parts that you have for the trunk floor are called trunk floor extensions No matter the amount of money you put in a charger you are not gonna lose a penny very expensive cars
your 67 Chevelle is similar rebuild stage as my '66 Pontiac. My moserr 9" rear axle has wave trac with 3.55 gears, Mine has a new 400 ci Pontiac w/Turbo 400 built new. its a full restoration.
Like the sound with the mics. Clear and works well at distance. Luv, when are you going to pound out some of the whisky dent in your Poncho ( Pontiac) ? Was the previous owner a drunk? You got serious creases on both sides. It’s like he tried to squeeze the car between two obstacles every time he parked it.
