Lou Agave of Long Island Lou Tequila Ocho Widow Jane Añejo - The Widow Is Back 

Found one last month and saving for a special occasion with friends! Even better, I found three bottles of the Repo. Salud !

I’m with Greg on this one, even after all that aging you still get the agave. No doubt, the barrel shines but the agave is still present? What an anejo!

I'd like to see you compare this to the Fortaleza Mission1530 Repo (or Fortaleza Anejo) side-by-side. I realize there are obvious differences, ie, cognac vs whisky barrel, single barrel vs barrel select, but the aging is only a month or so apart; and both distilleries are exceptional producers of tequila. When I hear you describe this Anejo, I'm reminded of a Fortaleza anejo. Ignoring the differences I still wonder just how similar they might be?

I was at my local liquor store and they had several of these. I ultimately chose to pick up their last G4 Madera lot 01. Thought process was grab something brand new or pick up a rare piece I may never see again. Do you think I made the right move?

The problem is imho, the Nacimiento is an inferior terroir. The Cerro De Gallo Repo WJ is much better.
