@Anthony Salerno I dont go the cinemas to expect greatness. I would read a book if thats what I wanted. I go to the cinemas to be entertained. And the most entertaining movies have sequels, they have sequels because theyre profitable. Theyre profitable because people watch them, people watch them because theyre entertaining.

I still don’t get the scandal regarding this guy. Maybe I don’t know the whole story, did he actually assault someone under the law, or was it that he did something that made them feel uncomfortable and they didn’t address it? I was under the impression that there was a group of people hanging out together, not in a public setting, and he jerked off in front of them.
@@mfboom3055 I don't think he should be banished for ever for what he did, and we are the ones losing out when Louie C.K. is not providing content any more. He should be allowed back sooner rather than later. There are a lot worse offenders out in public - hint: 45! PS: Yes, there was no assault. Yes, they could have said no. Yes, they could have left. But he shouldn't have jerked off in front of anyone. The perception that he was using his "power" as a successful comedian/writer/producer/director in the business might have stopped them from leaving for fear of repercussions and retribution. This is what he apologized for.
Andry Sqverill so if you’ve worked hard at your craft your whole life, suffering the entire time almost, which is known with Louis cuz he’s a late bloomer, and then you finally made it in the business and have some money and power, your sexuality is taken away from you just like that? BlissBayBay I have been to some crazy parties in my day, both men and women exposed themselves (usually it was the women). The equality I support means taking responsibility for that behavior too. I feel sad that our culture seems to be swinging so far in the opposite direction and as a result all adult consensual fun might be lost in the process. I’ve learned a bit more about what supposedly happened, and apparently the problem was that Louis was in a position of power, creating an atmosphere where the person didn’t feel she could speak out about her feelings. That sucks, because he and those in power need to recognize their positions of authority and the responsibility such privilege entails. On balance though, others need to acknowledge their own membership within any group and that group’s mores, and should they respect fellow members of a group, it is incumbent upon them to make any wronged feelings known so there is an opportunity to right whatever behavior preceded them. Thank you for your initial comment; it lead to some great discussion.
I've never really thought of it as dark. I rather think Louis is putting a light in a dark place with laughter. It sounds corny but seriously, think about it. Once people accept that humanity is imperfect and humans are not amazing creatures in the slightest bit, I think we will be a happier, more peaceful animal.

Good point - a quick death is too kind for most bosses. I would start with something small such as icyhot on the genitals and then move up to pulling out teeth and fingernails.
There wouldn't be much difference. I mean now the streets are clogged up with cars that have living people in them, where as if murder was legal then the streets would just be clogged up with cars that had dead people in them. So if anything the current system is actually better since you can at least expect cars with living drivers to EVENTUALLY move. :D

One of Louis's best bits. By the time he shot Oh My God he was cresting a wave, which generally means critics saying, "His older stuff is better". But there are several bits in Oh My God that are as good as anything else before or since.

It's true. Carlin (who is awesome btw) has a much more negative style. Louie sounds negative but he actually talks a lot about how great life is. They are both great comedians who have brought me many hours of laughter.

Oh my god! This guy has the gift to say a horrible thing and, while you're still horrified, in a second scaled it exponentially to an extent that is unbelievably gross, just like that in a second! Love you Louis!

this may actually benefit society, everyone would be way nicer so they don't get murdered, bosses would be nicer, politicians will have to actually do something helpful. There would be less repeat criminals because we would just murder them after the first time the commit a crime. i see no downside to this
