Louis C.K Live Comedy Special : Weddings || Louis C.K Weddings But he doesn’t go to weddings because he doesn’t like them because love is the best part of life and we don’t have to imprison it by a wedding.
Daniel Prado Says who? Some people seem to have happy relationships that go on until they die. Just because Louie relationship became shitty doesn’t mean all will.
That is such a powerful thought! And so frighteningly different yet soothing but also a little bit too close for comfort re. My egoistic need for my father to be my father even now he passed away! But I love this image so much, this counterpoint to my selfish needs… absolutely wonderful! Thanks bud for this beautiful gift of love through empathy! (no irony here)
He’s definitely top 5 in my opinion. Carlin, Murphy, Hicks, all up there too. So many good ones really. They all can deliver something pretty genius at times. Impossible to say one is the best.
"isn't that _automatically_ wonderful?" "He's wearing a suit that is not... a color" etc :) Love this guy! His choice of words and ideas, his metaphors, his delivery, everything about him screams intelligent and original. Btw, I don't think this should be titled "Weddings" but "Marriage and Heaven"
He is hilarious and one of my favorite comedians. But as far as original, he definetly bites off George Carlin (RIP) A LOT. Was his biggest influence and does use his shock style comedy. Even started this show with just saying abortion. George Carlin did the same. Many of Louis jokes are Carlins with a twist.. that being said, this dude is a master of the art and im sure George Carlin would be honored 100%
@@daglawrence that’s a really interesting connection. I agree. It’s funny because, dare I say it, I never really liked Carlin. But I love Loui ... go figure
Collateral damage from the corrupt #MeToo witch-hunt. He'll be back. His last special on his website was excellent! Comedy clubs would be stupid not to start booking him regularly again.
@@aaronbeardsley3261 The word "unironically," often misplaced in a sentence (as in LeTheGenD's comment), is an attempt by zoomers to give an ordinary statement more apparent gravitas. "Louis is unironically..." is a nonsensical statement. Correct: "I say this unironically--Louis is a very wise person."
Totally agree with what he said about weddings. I have to get on a plane and go to Houston for three days because my cousin decided to marry some dude I've never met. And if I don't go then my whole family will think I'm a selfish prick.
Reminds me a lot of that "Misery Is Wasted On the Miserable" bit from Louie. You can actually see how profound can Louis be and disguising it in comedy.
The head-scratching genius of LCK is, in part, that most of his act is completely concocted, even the scenarios he leads you to believe actually happened in his life. I remember he was on Conan once and he told a brilliantly crafted story about being on a plane sitting next to a businessman on his laptop and after he finished the bit he leaned over and admitted under his breath: ‘That never happened, but...’ I know other comedians stretch the truth to varying degrees but I don’t think any other comedian - and I’m talking over the entire span of stand-up history - can ‘make up a true story’ quite like LCK. Respect!
He's back. Thank god he's back. I love you Louis, I'm so glad you are resilient through all the hate mongering bullshit. Thanks for sticking around for us
@jussi __ Wish i could. i live in iran so it's really hard to buy or sell anything on international websites and stuff. for the most part i rely on piracy to watch his content.
Well he IS wrong, but he's not being technically correct, only applying it to 90 percent of people. Then it is true. Roughly 90 percent of people are either alone or in shitty relationships. By the numbers, that's a safe statement.
" You are alone or you are in a shitty thing. That covers 100% of human beings". Wow it was good to hear that. You either are with someone and have to deal with all their problems or choose the alternative of being alone. That's it
And it's crazy how he managed to book a major venue that he played at in the past. I wouldn't have chosen the exact same suit as last time but I'm not releasing New Material right now.
So smart and so realistic.. Turns the view on all shitty stuff that happen in life and see s the funny awkward side of it in a funny sad way.. He must be a very smart man that doesn't give a shit and that's what I love about him. The main difference from most of all the other comedians is that he is not afraid to put his personal thoughts and stuff on the table and jokes about it. My personal favourite and I hope he comes back as he was.
I honestly haven't laughed this hard for a while, I was tearing up. I was already primed up..then when the old people started walking together I lost it and got the gigs
"RIIIIIIICHAAAAADDDDDD!" I've seen every Louis C.K. standup special ever, and every one slaps. Also his tv show that was on FX, A+ He's expert at dark humour like seldom others are able to do
There are so many things that never added up to me. A mental itch that would never be scratched. Louis made all of that into bits. I’m jealous and complete all at the same time
Well, as George once said, inside every cynic is a disappointed idealist, and I think Louis fits that bill. He knows what's right and wrong in and with the world, and is constantly struggling against the wrong, both in the world and in himself. Getting older doesn't make that any easier.
