well you could at the time you just had to do it via email, which is essentially the same as nowadays. All messaging services that can send pictures are some rebranded form of email
This is from 2007. He's likely talking about the 12-inch powerbook, he calls it aluminum book because powerbooks used to be made of titanium. so the story would have happened around 2003, before louis was famous and before steve had cancer
Just watched "Sincerely, Louis CK", and I was not disappointed by the product. If you are a perfect consumer for Louis CK material - you should buy it.
Apple has probably branded themselves better than ANY company in the history of capitalism. Writing this on my Samsung. But imagine branding your products so well that an entire generation of kids get picked on by their peers for having anything else. Incredible. Apple knew what they were doing, and Steve Jobs was Apple.
I love how some people are taking the piss out of him for contradicting a bit he has about people complaining about technology. Guys, it's a comedy show, it's not a ted talk.
Honestly the point of comedy is to advocate for a side, spin an argument like a lawyer. It’s all about exploring a thought you might see a side of but don’t fully agree with. People who accuse comedians of contradicting themselves in my opinion are not getting why comedians say things. Louis contradicts himself all the time, that’s PART of why he’s a very smart guy. He sees the validity in a lot of arguments and they conflict a lot in his head. Comedy is it his way of working his way through his thoughts.
It is not really a contradiction he says he does the same thing himself which is where he got the idea for the bit. Half the stuff he makes fun of is stuff he noticed about himself.
When the iPhone first came Out , I got it from at&t because they were already my carrier and jailbroke it when they were first doing and it was near impossible without having the iPhone plan, I got it to work with my unlimited texting and data from my Motorola SLVR. I was very proud to beat the system that time at like 11/12
It's been over 10 years and the iPhone still doesn't have the contact auto fill thing they were talking about when you're dialing a number. Besides the customized ringers, that's probably the biggest thing i wish I still had since switching from Android
@@ladev91 He literally said that was the case. In his bit he mentioned the guy sitting next to him on the plane was complaining that he did not have a service that he was just told existed 2 seconds ago. He said that in real life he was that person.
I'm glad GTA 5 made fun of CEO's like Steve Jobs with the whole life invader thing. These guys do a fantastic job pointing out how people like Steve Jobs start acting like a god when their ideas become successful.
I dismantle and recycle computers for a living. Every time I have to change drill bits for an iMac, I want to honor Steve Jobs memory because we don't condone grave desecration in the comments section.
Lol they didn’t understand that the ipods have been out for a while but the iPhone would be upgradable through software updates. They just needed to wait.
Before you start complaining remember this clip is likely very old maybe iPhone 1 or later but very early in the iPhone's development and yes they were kind of shitty in the beginning. Yes they were revolutionary but there were often marred with weird limitations like being unable to copy and paste stuff, very limited space to keeps things etc..
Yes they still require a new charger for each edition. Yes theyre still made in children sweatshops. Yes you still can't use third party apps. But hey, at least it's got a cool camera right?
@@user-og6hl6lv7p I think you have the wrong impression of my post. It wasn't meant to explain that they were referring to an older version of the iPhone. I'm not even an iPhone user. I just wanted to clarify the points since they will not apply to a newer version of the iPhone.
The entire software industry has made non-thinking puppets out of everyone. Name one other industry that does what the software industry does by creating unfinished or incomplete products or sells you products that come with features tuned off unless you pay extra. The car industry? It will sell you the car, but breaks are disabled until you pay extra? Or don't come with wheels until you buy the bonus pack? What about the food industry? You buy a Big Mac, but the bun doesn't come in the box, you have to buy the bun as an upgrade? Or they'll only include the special sauce in the service pack that comes out next month? People are stupid. Both Microsoft and Apple have been doing this for years. Microsoft will release a non-fully tested OS for years and keep promising bug fixes, but then just release an update that has more bugs in it. They never fully release a better version, they just quit the project and release a completely different (rewritten) OS, with all new bugs and problems. Open Source projects are free (usually) in cost, but they're free in that you get to see the code. You get to contribute to them, you get to pay into them what you want, you get to have a better product every time they release a new version. It is a better overall development process. That's why choosing Linux is a better way to go. Linux has been in development for over 25 years, it is constantly getting better and you don't have to suffer the issues that you do with the likes of Microsoft or Apple.
The car industry is selling a 19th century old concept of the electric car............and then pretend it's new shit. The pharmaceutical industry resells you the same fucking medication with a few tweaks every 10 years so they can patent it all over again and charge you up the ass. Need more examples? Every single business is just there to make money.............and after that to make more money. It's just degrees of them being cunts. Them being cunts is already established.
I looked at the iProducts and thought wow, inferior over priced computers and devices with almost no compatibility with Window and current PC hardware (They've improved this somewhat). Makes you pay for everything. Has the hard drive capacity of a 1999 computer. Who would by this cheap over priced piece of crap. I than saw who it was marketed to and was like, of course computer illiterates and dumbasses. Advertising and idiots, a match made in heaven. You can't have one without the other. It's a pretty damn effective campaign too. One day I did something really stupid once and blacked out. I came to an hour later to find myself standing in an apple store, talking to an apple genius, getting ready to purchase an iPad Pro.
I would say it is real, he maybe exaggerated what he said or what was said back to him by Jobs but I believe he definitely met him at that store and criticized the product.
Frederick Maldonado It has to be from between 2007-2010 because that’s when the iPhone didn’t have those features. Like the QuickTime player and low memory of 8gb.
This is literally how non technical people view engineering. It’s literally the equivalent of thinking that hey I made my friends laugh at the pub last Friday so where’s my hbo special
He once said that he was in an elevator with Trump alone at Taj Ma Hall and Trump looked miserable. But I don’t believe that Trump uses the same elevators as everyone else and there’s no way anyone would be alone with Trump without some bodyguards around. I love Louis but there’s no way either of these stories happened
Tommy Savage I agree that Trump would have been using an executive type elevator. But why would pre President Trump have a bunch of body gaurds? He's a real estate mogul. Real estate doesn't seem like the kind of business that calls for a bunch of body gaurds hanging around. Probably still wouldn't have been alone though. I assume he's been surrounded by "yes men" and moochers for the vast majority of his life. But I also doubt that Louie just happened to catch an elevator alone with Donald Trump. Just something to talk about I suppose.
Chase Morgan well I’m just assuming he would have some bodyguards cuz he’s not just a real estate guy he’s one of the richest people in the world and at this time an extremely famous reality show star. Most musicians have bodyguards when they go out cuz people will mob them
Apple products are for morons who are willing to pay extra for the brand that is inferior product comared to competition. Guess normies can't use real computers or phones. It's beyond me they are still on business. Glad Jobs is dead.
