That was pretty rusty to be honest, definitely sounded like someone who's done a couple of lessons but I would have never guessed it of someone actually living there.

It's baffling to me that in current year, if you click the translate button, it *still* translates 草 to "grass" Why can't they use AI to fix this instead of generating monkey jpegs?
@@FrozenxDeathIt is the kanji for grass, but in this context it’s the sound of someone laughing. People in Japan type wwww to laugh online, and it sorta looks like grass (also laugh and grass sound similar in JPN)
@@massgunner4152 it's more just people are disappointed that the videogames industry as a whole has consistently been sliding backwards over the last decade in terms of quality of writing writing was cringe in the 90s, pretty good between 2000-2012, then fell off hard sometime in 2013 with everything turning into a remaster or an undead franchise on life support
I love Louis as a character. His innocence is amazing. And the. There's Francis, who's the tough biker but then screams like a girl getting jumped when down 😂
That's the most polite insult I've ever heard lol That's like saying "Mr. Bill, you are silly." Still in-character for Louis Edit: His voice line when he says this to Francis is different as well. Instead of using a formal speech, he says "Francis, baka desu yo". Which kinda gives the same vibe as saying "Francis, you are really an idiot." But less offensive and more casual.
Unfortunately we probably won't get that. Especially with Billy's VA having passed. I wish they'd given DbD access to whatever voice lines they still have at Valve but it's probably a tricky situation.
Louis's voice actor Earl Alexander did an interview once where he mentioned he was learning Japanese. That's probably how this whole interaction came about.
