Alan did make an interesting point at the end there. Everyone's taking a risk and gambles every day just by stepping outside, getting in your car to work or whatever. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

That Alan guy must not have any real friends. LOL. And that suite is sooooo tacky. IKEA is more classy than that crap.

It reminds me of the film Casino. Its all done so the house can take your money. The fancy hotel room, the private jet. Its all there to take your money and in the end the house always wins.

JoLee Hoo A bit weird all that "hey buddy" stuff wasn't it? A bit too much. The arms around each other lingered for just a second longer than they should have.

Actually I suspect that Louis is using a line from the American sitcom Seinfeld where Jerry goes 'Why didn't you get the big one?' in response to George getting a ridiculous huge fur hat.

the way he pronounces his vowels is much more in line with the American accent, like "not" pronounced more like "nAt" as opposed to "naught" (the latter being canadian; much the same way Americans say "sawrry" and canadians say "sorry"). So while he may be from Toronto, I'd say he has either spent a number of years in the States or was born there.

I was thinking if he was right when he said everyone is a loser at the end of the day... maybe yes,... but we can look from another angle too. We have been lucky to be here in the first place (those of us who did not suffer a lot of course). Therefore, we could be winners at the end of the day too.
