This 32 year old Speedy 30 needs some help. It had a full life, now it’s time to give it a second LIFE. Took it apart, cleaned and conditioned it. Replaced all the leather and reassembled it.
Hey Steve, I really love your work!!! Just a precisation, is not a speedy 30 but actually is a speedy 40. Te measurement is in cm not in inch and the size is refer to the length of the bag, from the piping gusset to the other.
Wow!!!! You can’t put a price on this! Seriously it’s a work Of art you achieve. You take what’s in front of you literally elevate to a level money can’t buy. At this point, we’re looking at a functional work of modern art nobody expects. Just wow. Go smoke your hookah… you deserve it Steve!!!!!
I love watching you, you're a gem and make me laugh. Especially about the knife sharpening I know what people are like making comments when it's not them doing it.
Right now I need to sharpen my scissors. I have many pair, between buying them myself, and inheriting even more I can put it off for a while. Sharp knives and scissors are so much nicer, and safer. But stopping everything to sharpen requires discipline. I am very happy to own an electric sharpener.
You’re so right about care of these bags, Steve. I use Bickmore 4 on all my leather bags but I also use it on the LV canvas occasionally. It really brightens it and I’ve never had a problem with damage from hand sanitizer etc I think because it has a fine layer of Bickmore 4 on it.
It is interesting, I am pretty good to take good care of my leather oxfords, but completely ignore my bags. Which is silly, I buy a good ( not super expensive, just nice quality) leather bag about every ten years. I should take the opportunity to condition it when I clean and polish my shoes.
It is a testament to you that you show when things don’t work out. I think far to many only show when the perfect video which we all know it can never be perfect all the time. The bag came out beautifully. Great video, thanks for keeping it real and honest.
Good Morning Steve 🙋🏾. It's good to see you today ‼️ , I hope everything is good with you and your Family. Enjoy the rest of your day ‼️🙋🏾 Awesome Job ‼️😃👍🏾

I expect you have answered this before, but maybe you will indulge me.💕 My husband has Ecco brand dress shoes. They have a molded plastic/rubber type sole. After about 12 years his favorite pair, the soles failed spectacularly, and inconveniently. He hadn’t worn them in a while, and upon exiting the car for our daughter’s wedding at a botanical garden, they just started falling apart in chunks. Thank God the chunks were largely obscured by the grass. Anyway, can that type of shoe be re-soled? Since he had a spare pair, and retired he doesn’t really need two weeks threw them away. But I just wonder. Thanks. Watching your work has really made me wish I was somewhat younger, it is a craft/art I believe I would love to learn. I have learned so many interesting things watching you apply your years of experience and knowledge!
I bough a Calvin Klein bag for a trip, and by the time I got to the destination the bag broke, the crossbody strap fell off. I took it to the cobbler and he put new rivets. I didn't like the bag anymore because of that, but I used it to return home. Sometimes the repair ruins the feel....
Wow! I’m impressed! You really did a great job,I was wondering how long it took from start to finish? Also wondering where you’re located? LV brought me here and I’d love to have a pocketbook fixed
