I am so touched by all the positive comments on this video! I wasn’t sure as it’s different than other youtuber’s videos. I am so thankful for this positive community. 💕❤️💕
This is why I stopped buying new LV and only buy preloved from Japan. Also, because of the type and styles they used to make see more of my style. Can’t complain about the pricing too!
Ohlala I love the thumbnail so sexy 👌, congratulations Michelle again and I’m so proud of you and I will always continue to support you. The St. Cloud is so beautiful and I’m looking on eBay at least for a reasonable price or but the Pochette Metis ( I already did but had to return it because the glazing was so bad even the repair team asked me to return the bag). I scared to buy the PM again until they fix the problem. I love watching your videos my friend, keep it coming 🙌🏼💕💕💕
Oh Mary you make me blush ☺️💕 The St. Cloud used to be only $200 on the reseller market, before everyone went crazy 😱 Thank you for your heartfelt support my friend 😘❤️❤️❤️
I feel like they’ve become fast fashion, with how quickly they churn out bags, skipping details, made for trends...except for fast fashion, I’m going to Zara!!! Thanks for all your support on my channel! 💕
Great comparison! Your St Cloud is in pristine condition. Love it!!! I debated for months which one to buy but ended up with the PM in Reverse Mono for 2050 at the preloved store, never used with tags and all. I refused to buy more than retail. But so frustrating that it’s always sold out. But now I have to put St Cloud back in my wish list. I noticed the price keeps going up. Thanks for the twilly tutorial. I haven’t dressed my other LV handles. This is awesome!!!
I love the touch at the end of the video teaching us how to wrap a scarf around the handle. Can you teach us how to make the tie/bow on the other bag you were showing throughout the video? It was on the vintage bag. 🥰
I have done a quality comparisons between France, Spain and the USA. I have items from the late 80’s to date and found no difference at all. I feel it’s a myth as I’ve yet to see any evidence other than US content makers pushing this idea.
@@dialmstyle I’ve noticed many Americans say they order online and if the items are from the USA they return the item. I have heard people returning items up to three times not because of the craftsmanship but just because it’s made in the USA. I also heard that LV are trying to clamp down on serial returners. When people act this juvenile over a heat stamp stating France they cause Louis Vuitton to change policies that impact the regular everyday consumer. LV have recently changed many policies so one way or another we will all pay for this crazy notion that USA has poor craftsmanship therefore the items must be returned post haste.
Love them both, Michelle! I had the Saint Cloud in MM a few years back however it was too small for me. I should've held out for a GM size but was so anxious to get one asap. Still hoping to add it back to my collection one day. It was the only monogram piece I had and I haven't committed to any other monogram bag since because I kinda wanna save that spot for it one day in the future. Thanks for the comparison!❤️
Thanks Patricia! Thanks for sharing that you know exactly what you want, and don’t add stuff you don’t want/need! Thanks for watching and always leaving a positive comment 💕
I have the Speedy 25 (1994), 30 (2005) and 35 (1992). The canvas on my 35 is the most soft, thick and luxurious canvas. I adore her but rarely use her. The quality of the canvas stops me from selling her as I think I’d regret it.
@@dialmstyle I also have the Randonnee GM and PM and the Saumur 30, 35, 43, the Trocadero 27, the Noe GM and PM. There’s one more but I can’t remember what it is. I’ve no intention buy anymore. I’m focusing on investing (including investing in myself) and saving for a plot of land in French countryside. I love bags but they are just bags. Family and security is everything.
Wow! That’s a collection to be envious of! With that collection, you don’t need any of these new styles! They pale in comparison when the brand is trying to catch trends for short term rather than longevity. Of course, they want to keep the money machine rolling! Thanks for sharing! 💕
@@dialmstyle I have never mentioned what I have in my collection on socials but I felt you would understand the pieces better than anyone. I won’t buy the trend pieces. Louis Vuitton won’t get anymore money from me unless it’s for a repair. They are working hard to grab everyone’s money and many fall into the trap of using credit cards to ride each and every trend. I’m too old to get caught up in the cycle and I find it quite off putting. When I was selling a few of my pieces, people kept asking me for payment plans and that’s when I learned that people have three bags on payment plans from different sellers. They are buying the trend pieces from resellers for above market prices on credit cards to stay on trend and it’s very, very sad. I’m contented and grateful with what I have and I love how you put it “you don’t need anymore” and you are 100% correct. Thank you Sweetness and enjoy the rest of your weekend 😘
In my opinion, the words luxury and trend don’t go together. Luxury=classics. Trends = Zara. I hope my daughter doesn’t do this when she’s old enough to! That’s insane if you can’t buy a bag all at once, a payment plan should not even be considered. Thanks for sharing all your thoughts!
I saw a lot of videos about designer bags and LV products... your videos are the best (good explanation and professional) 😉... by the way, I also work in luxury sector in Paris and I agree with you in all the points (especially with LV). Keep going like this 👍🏼😁
Michelle I first saw the st cloud on your channel and loved it especially with the bow addition!.. I ended up purchasing one pre-loved which made me a little nervous since it was my first pre-loved item, but I am super happy with the purchase and can definitely tell the canvas is thicker and better made than my new LV bags
Great video. I have both vintage, which I bought new in the early 200’s, and new pieces, and I agree that the old hardware is much better quality. If it gets tarnished, you can polish it with Brasso. Your St. Cloud is gorgeous. I always loved that bag. I just bought a Coach Basquiat. The graphics are great.
@@dialmstyle Sak’s has two styles in stock and I think they are having a promotion. But, Google Coach Basquiat. If you go to the website, it only pulls the Pez Dispenser. I got the Mecca but only found it by Googling. It’s sold out in many places and selling high preloved. The leather on mine is incredible.
I just bought the PM in empreinte noir. I still want the mono just because ☺️ I’ve been searching for a decent pre loved St Cloud GM for a while and yours is beautiful. I’d probably cut the strap off though to give it more versatility. Great video 🥰
Great comparison! I would love to get a preloved LV vintage bag in the future. My friend has vintage pieces and she said the canvas is much thicker. I only have the Felicie so I have nothing to compare it to. Your friend’s PM with the stickers is adorable! 💖
I agree with your friend that vintage LV does have thicker canvas. I’ve compared my grandmothers LV bags from the 80s and 90s, to the LV bags I’ve bought in the last decade. My grandmothers LV bags are still pristine after so many years of use, but I’m not so sure my more modern bags will last as long
@@0neAutumnLeaf I appreciate your feedback. I will eventually get a vintage piece. I really like some of the vintage styles and the price points are much less than the pieces that retail at the store. I have seen deauvilles preloved going for 500 to 600. I just need to find something without odors. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!
Love those both!! ❤❤❤ That's awesome how your mom kept somegreat vintage styles and in good condition too! Any recommendations on trust-worthy preloved sites to buy from?
Hey! Thanks for a lovely video! I also read the description and you mentioned there that racist hate crimes were increasing in the US. I’m sorry to hear this. Racism can never nor should it be tolerated in any form. I hope that you’ll enjoy your week! P.S I do agree with you that yelling about the quality issues to sas may not be the best strategy. Unfortunately, I do personally believe that LVs monogram and bags/products have gone down in quality in the recent years. Fortunately, the leather products are still of top quality!
So some bags at the LV store could potentially be a returned bag that someone else has previously owned? Is that disclaimed to the customer prior to purchasing?
If you get the vintage bag hardware replaced, they will definitely use the current hardware for replacement. Something to think about if you like the actual gold brass hardware.
Just purchased vintage ‘82 GM SC on eBay from Japan, but the front brass horseshoe thingy(🤪) doesn’t have the Louis Vuitton stamped on it like later models. I was wondering if yours is without also, and if you know when/why some are/aren’t etc.? Thank you for any info, ❤️ your channel!
Agree that the newer LV bags hardware are not real metal hardware anymore, they're not able to be polish as a real metal can be. I tried my on my tarnished Speedy (bought in Feb 2021) with a brass cleaner and it didn't work. I went back to LV store on the 9th months after to ask what's wrong with the hardware. They CA checked it...went to her Manager to inquire, 10 mins later offered me a free full hardware replacement FOC. The CA said it is now a days a common issue with the hardware of these bags... therefore they offer a FOC replacement which could cost $90/pc to to replace. So this means LV is aware and is making inferior quality products and on their entry level range. I'm so tempted to sell off my Speedy. LV is getting annoying. Their canvas bags prices are near Hermes' picotin bag price!!!
I don't nitpick. I have a quick look around of the item that I plan to purchase or the item that I have received that I have bought online. If it looks good, that's it. I don't go grab a magnifying glass and put the item under light to look at every stitch and mm of the item. What's the point? No matter how expensive the item is, you are still going to use it. Just enjoy it. (Obviously don't abuse it like putting it on the floor etc.)
@@dialmstyle ion have no shame ion even inspect them I leave in boxes n wrapped n tissue paper n take a bag... at a time... but I always buy a slg I’m considerate of her time at least

I like rare bags over regular bags I love da pop of metallic... Tobad dat bag ain’t in my collection... no to crazy on buying preloved... If it not new ion want it... dat jus me...
sorry not sorry but that pochette metis is fake. im sayin it cause the monogram canvas on the bag is not %100 straight and it hast to be straight if it is lv
I stick with my Prada nylon fanny pack, or I prefer an older fanny pack. But you were the first person who made me really love this awesome travel bag. It fits inside like a small bag LYXBAG
