The Louisiana Grills Kamado is a charcoal based on an ancient Chinese oven design. The heavy ceramic walls capture and radiate even heat and maximize thermal efficiencies of the coals. The heat distribution locks in moisture while top and bottom vents allow for precise temperature control.

Which Costco?

Bought one Saturday 4/27 at Costco and fired it up the next day cooking a whole chicken as test run. Turned out fantastic. First assembly was a snap went without issue or any fitment issues. Minor "spider webbing" throughout the dome glaze ONLY. Not a deal breaker for me. It's going to happen eventually through the contraction and expansion from outside temps in the coming year. Threw some Kingsford charcoal mixed with Lazzari lump charcoal and once fired up I leveled it off to a steady 300°. Oh also threw some cherry wood in the bottom of the coals to smoke. Cooked for two hours and chicken came out with crispy skin along with the most outstanding juicy meat. The chicken was gone in ten minutes. Flavor was liked by all. If I could find fault is it's dome weight which was a tiny tiny bit on the heavy side but not bad. Wife is able to lift it with both arms easily and she is 5'4" pixie. Also it's inability to turn off completely is a minus which can cos you coal if you are into buying the expensive stuff. Price of entry I guess. I highly recommend this grill for it's price point at Costco. Looking forward to cooking all summer. Wishing you all a great smoke and grilling year. Safety first! Told the wife about possible "blow out" when opening the grill and to first "burp" it by opening it a tiny bit for ten seconds to air to escape or the flames to come into contact. Guys have opened it immediately only for flames to jump out and singe their arms. DON'T wear long sleeve polyester either as it can melt to skin easily. Be safe but also enjoy.

How did you move this at 250 lbs?
@rxonmymind8362
@rxonmymind8362 5 лет назад
@@ABHORRANCE831 Slowly. From the garage I did the left to right shuffle. Then to get over the lip I had couple boards where I "stepped" the Kamado over onto a tarp. Slid that through the hallway (wished I had a dolly it would have been a lot easier) to the patio door. I then donned those blue chemical gloves for grip and had my wife help with my daughter holding the caster wheels so it wouldn't move. With a knee and solid grip we both lifted it. Barely. I'd HIGHLY suggest three skinny guys or two strong men and someone else holding the wheels. Cheers.

I just picked up one, a 24 inch model from Costco. They have them priced at $599 so it made my decision to buy easy. I cured it yesterday using about eight pieces of Western hardwood lump charcoal. It took about 40 minutes for the temperature to reach 205° with so few coals. The temperature held at 205° for about 6 hours. After 10 hours there was still some charcoal left in the firebox. I can say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the efficiency of this 5-in-one kamado grill. I will probably do my first cook next week.

@@rm5282 hello what does curing ceramic? Is it just to fire up the grill without putting on food? Tia!!

@@bingsun2226 yes. You want to prepare the grill for future cooking. You don't want the temperature to get too hot or you'll risk cracking your fire box.

I bought the medium grill offered by Canadian Tire last Summer. It's at least as good as any other kamado grill on the market at around half the price of the Big Green Egg. I've slow cooked briskets and ribs on this grill and also bbq'd steaks and burgers. I can't wait to try the pizza stone this Summer! Everything that comes off this grill is absolutely delicious.

Red Indian Hello there. I bought one last summer. I love it too for sure. I’m definitely making some of the best meals I’ve ever made. I can barely get it up over 500 but they’re supposed to get over 700. Do you have this issue?

I found a workaround. The Weber round grill grate with a hole fits just about. It should not be the original and should be 54 cms in diameter. The original is slightly larger but the cover versions, that are slightly smaller do the job! Pleased with my find!

@myacoub07
@myacoub07 4 года назад
@@6opekaso221 The major manufacture that produces these grills, and others like it, including, vision, pit boss, etc. to my knowledge is Auplex, they are major Chinese manufacture and produce this grill for our suppliers here in the US and Canada. You can most likely find what you need if you reach out to Auplex directly, I'm doing this for my 24" as well, you can find, cast iron grates, divide and conquer systems, and rotisserie, etc. The issue I think will be trying to have them ship it directly to the states. Here's the website and good luck www.auplexbbq.com/
