"Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds" - Bhagavad-Gita
"Said cryin' won't help ya, prayin' wont do ya no good..." - Memphis Minnie
When The Levee Breaks is an old delta blues song about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927. It was written by Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy in 1929, 42 years later, Led Zeppelin stole it from them and used it as the closing track for Led Zeppelin 4.
Well, to rip off Bono:
“I’m stealing it back….“
It's a very dark song.
But from death comes life.
It all worked out great in the end for Minnie and Joe's legacy too.
