Yeah , I'd read where Bonham set up the drums at the bottom of stairs so they'd have a slight echo as well as the playback was slowed to get the same effect.

Relax people. This is good. Don't expect a cover band to play it note for note. If you want that, go listen to Led Zeppelin. BTW, I am a huge Zep fan.

Yeah man..saw them at the Spectrum in Philly in 1976 (maybe '75? Not sure.. I WAS pretty stoned ;0 ) They did their show and came back for three encores--last one was Stairway to Heaven. Fucking amazing show.

you do realize that Led Zeppelin's version is a cover. The original artists are Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joy McCoy writing a song about the great Mississippi flood of 1927. Not to take anything away from these amazing artists. They absolutely nail it!

I really agree with this.. Especially considered Led Zep was the best as a studio recording group , never so impressed with their live performances. This sounds good (dunno how much it's mixed after recording though)

All very talented. A buddy and me stumbled on to seeing Zepparella at a venue next door from an Arc Angels Reunion show back in 2009 or so. We were blown away by the band. They absolutely nailed all the Zep tunes. Very accomplished musicians. From her website. Gretchen Menn has studied music in college and "has studied, in equal parts, the music of Mozart, Beethoven, Steve Morse, Frank Zappa, and Jimmy Page. (Regarding the latter composer, she performs the music of Led Zeppelin all over the U.S. with Zepparella. It was under the tutelage of classical guitarist Phillip de Fremery, a student of Andrés Segovia, that Gretchen began her path on the instrument. Her father, noted writer and former editor-in-chief of Guitar Player Magazine, Don Menn, was quick to point her in the direction of the greats as soon as she expressed interest in guitar."

Zeppelin lifted many songs from other artist and were taken to court for copyright infringement. Page said that he would alter the guitar parts, and Plant was supposed change the lyrics, but he sometimes didn't, which was the basis for the lawsuits.

Started out to comment on how good the drummer is; then the harmonica caught my ear-fantastic; then at 5:30 the guitarist got into some fabulous strumming and at 6:00 the bass jumped in and carried the all home. Damn good and as close to the real thing as I've heard!

Zeppelin ruled the 70s and the only band that gave them competition were the Stones. I was born in 1960 and grew up in the 70s and even today they are my favorite bands. Zeppelin's songs are timeless and I never have gotten tired of listening to them. And Great Job Ladies

I’m 70 years old and Page and Plant are my contemporaries - our sunset years have arrived. My greatest fear is the kick-ass music I grew up with will not be picked up by the next generation of musicians and passed on to future music lovers. Considering the state of contemporary music, my fears are well founded. But these BABES and their obvious love for Led Zepp are BAD ASS and reassure me the next generation is not entirely lost. I can sleep well tonight. Bless’um all!!!!!

Gary Stone vocally I would agree but the instrumental side of this song I think zepparella are far better. truer to the original version but that's just my opinion.

I don't know about the "best ever documented" but take a peek at a band called "Dread Zeppelin". It is a Led Zeppelin cover band, with a Elvis impersonator singer that plays the songs with a Reggie style.

Amen... It might sound cliche or cheesy to say this, but damnit it's the TRUTH... You can't sing/play the blues unless you have lived it. It's true, and these ladies performing this rendition, it feels totally genuine, authentic.. I've always been a massive music lover, and this is probably my favorite song of all time. I first heard a perfect circle's version, and eventually I heard zeppelin's version and my mind was blown forever!! Nothing but love and respect to Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe for CREATING the tune, and a big thank you to zeppelin up breathing new life into it.. tired, sore, mournful, lonely, full of sorrow and full of fucking SOUL! good god I love this song...

I loved this cover, well done in all aspects. Huge Zep fan and I say they did this justice. Unsure why there are haters for the skills these ladies did on this. Haters should pick up an instrument and see how well they can perform.

Haters can Hate but it still don't change the fact that Gretchen is one of the best guitarists I've heard. You might check her solo stuff on RU-vid. Zepparella is a Great Band, they play a lot of their own music also. Gretchen has been in the business for a long long time. So was her Father.👍👍😉😊

I saw Led 3 times live and they never did this song live so it give me chills hearing these ladies kill it in this awesome performance here. The harmonics, drummer, lead and bass guitar are all amazing in this rendition!

They never did it live because the guitar and harmonica were added in after it was recorded. These girls are doing a video, not playing live. They are still very good.

Of the singers I've seen in this band, this on'e my fave. 1st off, that harmonica! But she also channels Plant well with he voice. Easily the best cover of this song I've seen heard.

I’ve seen this group in concert. Guitarist and Drummer are the dominating force, with the perfect vocalist to power along with them and the steady bass player who never seeks the limelight but is equally deserving of the credit to their success.
