Imagine a guy who hasn't lived in Louisville since he was in 4th grade making a video trying to tell people what it is currently like in Louisville. I am sorry you had a bad experience as a kid here but you really can no longer comment on how bad or good it is here anymore. I would rather live in Louisville than any other city I have been in. I live right off 7th street/manslick. My kids wait for the bus and don't have to fight anyone. We shop at the DAV you drove by. Not sure why you had it so bad man but maybe you were just into the bad shit? Because my experience has been if you aren't fucking with the bad shit then it doesn't fuck with you.
Yeah a little kindergarten into bad stuff 🤦 i am sorry you live there, hopefully one day you can put yourself somewhere better. I travel all over USA louisville is easily one of the worst of the worst
Your living in a very privileged area my friend, Louisville is dangerous lived here only for all 19 years of my life, me and my friends stay away from that bad crowd and I've lost 4 of them to gun violence. Guns in school every other week. Its bad now
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS southend isn’t bad tho if you get into bad things you are most likely to attract bad shit, I don’t like it but it’s better then the westend because there’s no shootings at night. Don’t want to live here my whole life but I’m grateful I was raised down here rather than in the westend
I live in louisville its only dangerous if your not minding ones own businesses if your all in someone elea cool aid that you have no business in then what you think goi g to happen 🤔
Keep ur head down and mouth shut and you’ll be A- ok. This guy is making Louisville like it’s Chicago or Compton California. I’ve been to Louisville and it’s not that bad. I’ve been to every major city in Florida and it’s so much worse in Florida than Louisville.
The commentary was extremely ignorant and had a lot of racist undertones which made it very hard to watch. He’s soooo terrified of black people when according to fbi crime statistics white people commit the most crimes, and let’s not forget history. But then again he’s Hispanic, so I’m not surprised he’s moronic as most of them are racist towards AAs and the Afro Latin community alike. Anyways, Louisville born and raised, it wasn’t the easiest but it’s not as bad as he makes it seem. Louisville isn’t even listed as one the top 15 most dangerous cities, and most of civilians there mind their business and want better for themselves. I’m glad my mother was courageous enough to move out of state when I was young, despite the pushback from the family doing so. My mother also went to school with Muhammad Ali’s cousin and had to beat him up because he had a crush on her and ruined her dress lol. I have a lot of beautiful childhood memories there, and he drove past many neighborhoods that my family has lived in. I feel more unsafe in Georgia where you can get your car jacked at a red light, but noooo “big bad Louisville and big bad black folk.” You’re obviously emotionally immature and have a lot of unhealed emotional trauma. You clutching your pearls whenever you seen someone black is highly offensive.
@@jmmarksman73 If me calling out how colorism and racism is within their community “is racist”, i guess i’m a racist then. Reading comprehension skills are at a all time low.
I'm a white guy and I live a few miles from Louisville and have been there a few times. This guy makes Louisville out to be like Chicago lol. Every city has its dumoy parts but this guy really exaggerated. If you just keep your head down and mouth shut or just be nice to people you should be all good. Compared to major cities in Florida this city is not that bad.
This dude scary as hell!! Haha he said what a crazy day huh!..while casually driving down peaceful residential streets..no doubt there's violence, just like any city. But in my experience it's not usually random acts of violence on innocent citizens 😊
Louisville was once a beautiful place seriously going downhill I wont visit anymore. Beautiful parks also. Those that are natives sadly will make excuses & normalize the decay via denial, blame & deflecting. They lack making progress I hope things turn around. Bourboun & abusive Horseracing Ind😢 Hard Pass!!! Litter, abandoned cars, terrible driving, lack of police...unsafe reckless driving, & overall lawlessness. Homelessness, low labor participation rate w lots on govt check, rude people lacking manners, terrible schools. People & businesses are abandoning downtown A lot of potential exists yet the see no problem.
If you're from Louisville, this video is either hilarious because of the ignorance or offensive, I walk any part of this city anytime of day, No fear. I'll be damned if I'm running a stoplight also , I try to avoid any unnecessary interaction with law enforcement.
Shiddd I run every light possible in the middle of the night. Regardless. Especially in the west. It aint that bad until you caught in the bad 🤷🏿 and aint got none to do with none
Lol. He says he lived her from kindergarden to 4th grade. And somehow in same breath says louisville imwas in route to becoming the worst cities in the country.. lmao
I was born and raised here as well. Louisville is not that bad man. Of course you have certain spots where you need to be more aware of…but just like anywhere else; if you mind your business, nobody will mess with you. It has not gotten worse
There's like 400 to 500 shootings every year in Louisville, regularly well over 100 homicides per year now. When I was in high school it was like 50 to 60, give or take. Hell yeah Louisville has got worse lol what are talking about. Had almost 200 homicides not long ago.
"Louisville is totally insane. One of the most dangerous cities in the country!" Muhammad Ali, blah, blah, blah. Do yourself a favor if you watch this video and mute it!
Louisville is just fine and this video is definitely set up in a way to scare people watching even if it isn’t necessarily intended to. . I have spent tons of time on the west end and south end and I would approach anyone, look them in the face, and say hello! 👋🏼
I have lived here all my life, and this city has gone to hell. We have a PC mayor who does NOTHING, the hands of the police have been tied, and crime is out of control. Yes, the west end is the most unsafe area of Louisville, along with the downtown area. Crime is spreading all over the city. We have car jackings and shootings every day. Most of the car jackings are committed by juveniles, and they are just slapped on the wrist and let back out to commit more crimes. We also have one of the worst public school systems in the nation. Criminals are practically rewarded here, and victims have no rights. We are leaving.
@@CheerfullyCynical829 I have a mansion in Lagos, Nigeria. In EVERY country on planet earth, you have your good areas and your bad areas so poverty is NOT limited to one spot on earth. Some of the mansions here in Nigeria would make Beverly Hill look like the projects in comparison. At the same time, some of the poverty stricken areas here can make Beverly Hills look like heaven. There are places in America that make the poverty stricken areas of ANY country in Africa (there are 54 countries in Africa by the way), look like country living. Take a look at Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia. That's in America. *I have never seen anything like that in ANY country that I have been to.* I've been through Asia and the western Pacific thanks to Uncle Sam and I have realized something that a lot of people don't understand. HOME is what you make it. Amenities are nice but not necessary. FOOD and WATER are the only necessary items that you need in life. Depending on where you are, you can survive without anything else. Louisville is in no way near as bad as these yahoos try and make it seem in this video. They sound like a couple who got their information about Louisville from second hand sources and NOT from the experience of living here. 🙄🙄🙄
Go to NYC or Chicago. Then go back to Louisville and tell us how bad it is. Don't get me wrong, I used to live in the Ville and I think it sucks hard. The city is just not a dangerous as you're saying.
That’s what I’m saying lol. Btw this guy lives in central Florida and doesn’t say as much bad things about the cities there. Let me tell you in central Florida u get killed just for no reason or shootings in supermarkets. Louisville isn’t that bad.
Im an exterminator. Most of my jobs are project homes in West Louisville. I love it. Im learning new things and meeting interesting people all the time. Theres always a story or two.
my friend bought a house in westend near portand.. he had me go in thru the back door. turns out the front door going to the living room.. the flood had collapsed and it was like an open pit LOL i would have called it,,, primitive!
Overreacting ive been here my entire life its not as bad as you making it out to be lmao like any other city in the US you got dangerous neighborhoods but most of louisville is chill fr
I went to Louisville and I like it a lot. Compared to the cities in central Florida it really isn’t that bad. He also acts like this place is like Chicago or some shit. Sure this may be the more poverty side of Louisville but it certainly doesn’t look Terrible compared to other poverty sides of most cities.
And as true as the video is ,there is also plenty of beautiful areas all across the city. Some of the old Louisville area has skyrocketed in value as majority of the area is being renovated. Unfortunately the south end has become kinda bad nowadays
Louisville fucked up but you gotta be into some shit for something to really happen to u here . He’s not lying about everything in this video, it got some truth to it but he put a lil extra on certain parts 🤣
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS it’s truth in that as well . But as far as being an adult in Louisville you have to be involved in the streets for somebody to just stay shooting at you
Cant watch anymore 👎🏽🤢🤮 sketchy description 😢...Long Live Louisville its like a bad little brother it can get on your nerves but there is nothing like home do your own research folks
@@matthewchambers12 For some reason he is very snobby when it comes to Louisville. Any chance he gets he will bash Louisville and Kentucky for that matter. I mean he lives in Florida which isnt exactly a great place either
Algonquin pwky u just passed are not housing projects at all, they are privately owned Townhomes, do your history before making fake news., im literally laughing at u Dude 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂💯
you’re right Southern life city is good, but the people are funny acting that way on both sides they think differently and some of it aren’t good if you come down here get with like-minded people such as yourself
Your girl must feel real safe with you…. Crazy, this is so crazy. Look how we’re driving thru neighborhoods, so crazy. I’m white, born and raised here 33yrs. I been from the East end to the west end, no problems. Now, you need to know where you’re at, who you’re with, and what time it is, but that’s every city. You’re riding around scared at 10am on a Sunday. Bet them churches in the west end that you’re scared to be driving thru, are packed rn. That’s why there isn’t any traffic scary ass mf. Go put your anime on and set the timer on your tv and go to bed.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS why? It’s a great city. I’m free to move wherever I want. I have a career that would allow me to transfer across the country. I prefer to live here, where I actually grew up past 4th grade and appreciate the history, the vibe, the aesthetics. My daughter is fortunate to go to a great school off Muhammad Ali. I’ve traveled from California to Maine. I’m fine here, no need to be sorry. Sorry if I hurt your feelings tough guy. Congratulations on surviving these tough streets. Keep running those red lights so you don’t sit too long in the danger zone. Don’t wanna get capped out here.
I don't know about this being one of the most segregated places. I live in PRP area which is considered the west end, but I see all types of people not just one race.
Louisville is my hometown. I grew up on the south end near Okolona. I left 20 years ago but go back on occasion to visit family. No offense but my quality of life has improved since I left and I could not see myself moving back. Ever. I do miss the affordable housing but thats just about it.
Iroquois you don't pronounce the "s" it's like saying Illinois, the "s" is silent. I also find it odd how one minute you say and area was crap when you were there then the next line you say the exact same area used to be so nice. Some contradiction going on. Also spaghetti junction is downtown, not where you were late in the video
I used to live there and it is a beautiful city! There are unfortunately some bad areas (dont all cities have those). See it first before judging. Also, the downtown is quite safe.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS well you are wrong. Where are you getting this information from? Louisville is not even close to the top dangerous cities. We are like 80 something. Stop hating on Louisville.
This guy doesn't need to be driving. Committed half a dozen traffic offenses in ten minutes. Crosses two lanes without signaling. Twice. Doesn't stop for red lights. Speeds. Bl;ows a stop sign. Sheesh. I'm more afraid of bad drivers than bad neighborhoods.
Yes! Louisville born and raised! I was hoping you'd do another Louisville video. I hate how the crime rate has risen and how certain areas have gone downhill but I'm still proud of my city. I'm from the Hikes Point/St. Matthews area btw
You have to move further east to get away from the crime if you want to stay in Metro. If not Shelby Co and I hear Indiana. This city will get worse until we say out loud who is doing all this.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I like your channel man ! I actually work at the flea market I sell video games! I'm still studying sociology and meteorology man. 7th street fmkt though is awesome. I'm from Bosnia man. A terrible civil war happened, my mother and father seen it in the 90s. Hundreds of thousands got killed. Sorry to hear about your experience. I wish I could do a interview on your channel. Talk about crime , and how society in the city. Has become more "socially stratified" at it core, and rent and housing puts a strain on people.
I've lived all over the US, never have despised a city, until I moved to Louisville. Just a fucking dump with rude people and very high crime rate. Not to mention there really isn't anything to do unless you like to drink.
Every city has its not so nice areas. When I lived in central Florida a few months ago this is nothing compared that. This guy also acts like this is Chicago or Los Angeles lol. I like Louisville a lot actually
Lived in Louisville until college in 1961. Was in Jr. High when we desegregated. Never had any problems. Walked about 10 blocks to Parkland school. Never felt unsafe. You drove right past the house I grew up in between 22nd and 23rd streets on Algonquin Pkwy. the house an, church where my father pastored looked much the same. I could see my bedroom windows. The major change was a new building in the church parking lot between the parsonage and the church. It brings back many very good memories for me. I appreciate you having shot the video. I haven't been back as my mother died in 1962 and my father remarried and moved away. We had no other relatives in Louisville. Thanks for the memories.
I usually don't comment but this is my hometown city...if ur gonna have a video on the worst hoods at least know what your talking about...really ? It's sounds like ur not from here! Beecher Terrace is no longer a project here...yeah the vacant lots on the RIGHT! U SHOULD HAVE SHOWN THE NICE AREAS AND PARKS!
I am from the south end. Oakwood Ave you passed on Taylor Blvd and the projects for awhile. It was not the greatest place to grow up but a good place until now. It’s gone to hell now. I graduated from IHS in 72 and ran away as fast as I could to college and out of
Born in 63 n raised in louisville , was poir so we lived all over 73/74 we landed in wilder park. Had to fight since i was 5 yrs old. Grew up near the train yards by u of l great times as a kid seen a few shootings. Been shot at a few times. Married in 92 ,wife came in one day said i am pregnant. Said the heck with that we are geting out of louisville even back then for some reason a lot of kids being taken from their yards. Mived to the country in indiana and have to go to louisville every month or so. Makes me side to drive by moms old house on garrett n see the shape of the old hood. Still i love this city.
When I lived in central Florida a few months ago the crime rate was insane. There was always a shooting happening in orlando Florida and Jacksonville, Florida and Kissimmee Florida and Poinciana Florida and Miami. This guy is acting like Louisville is so bad. Louisville is nothing compared to Florida cities. Every city had not so great areas but compared to Florida and other cities Louisville is very nice and chill. Keep ur head down and mouth shutband u should be all good.
@skeletor325 Louisville is way rougher than Orlando Or any of them cities in Florida are you talking about Except for Jacksonville or Miami. It's on Par with them
@@skeletor325 Thank you for commenting THE TRUTH. This guy has never lived any place that actually had a crime problem. All his pearl clutching is ridiculous.
This dude clearly don’t kno nothing about the city , you was 4 years old when he left.. Talking about there go Beecher To the left , no it’s city view(Village West).
its crazy to me how he is talkin down on westside louisville or “louisville” n genral when he hasn’t lived down here since elementary school. i am young and go to school downtown.. and jt is not as bad as he is describing louisville i promise you that. yes there may be drive bys.. but its in the city ofc there is gonna be some kind of incident. and its also crazy he is on like 3rd st.🤣 and he is talking abt it being dangerous go to hblock, parkhill, shivley, shawnee, not 3rd. im dead i cannot belive this🤣
If you from Louisville you will never forget how it smells I left in 1989 and moved up North to Mishawaka 😭 I still say a piece of me stayed in Lou my advice folks stay away from Indiana! Thank you for sharing!
Was Not the projects on the left. Drive thru Portland area. You’re just driving thru the colonized portion of town. There are a lot of low income areas due to companies leaving town and outsourcing of manufacturing.
Wow Dude! You really don't want people to see the tourists attractions, and the Diamond sights of Louisville Kentucky.,u passed The Churchill Downs, where the yearly Kentucky Derby is held....o i see u don't want o girl see the nicer places, she might like Louisville.😂🤣😭😜🤔
Ya’ll acting like Louisville is South Central L.A. and this video is absurdly overblown! You can go anywhere You want if You use commonsense! Been here all my life without incidence! The Ville is a Laid back Chill town for real
I was born and raised in Louisville. Lived on Louisville Avenue and a few other areas I went to James Russell Lowell Elementary School.but it's gone now it was torn down 1992 or 96 .not sure .now that's where they made the airport bigger. On Crittenden Drive. We moved a few times. I did also live the off of Dixie Highway. Thanks for sharing I enjoyed the ride around Louisville
I wasn't sure why it took this long to see this,.. but when I watched it I understood, like "damn" this is a lil bit much, ha, I'm born an raised in Louisville along with my kids,.. not saying it's great, what city is?? However my kids survived and ain't scared to walk the streets wtf??
Bruh. The only thing you got right is the fact that yes no matter what they will always be known as the mericanas.. but as far as it being scary. Funny!
You seen one foo run a red light and gon say nobody stops at red lights 🤦🏽♀️and that was Village West to the left,Beecher Terrace was the torn down buildings on the right. Who’s telling you your information? You did the most on the Ville🙄
I lived in Portland area, walked all over that town back in 2012-2013. The worst thing that happened was a kid stole my phone and ran off over on market street near slevin i think.
Honestly louisville aint as bad as they paint it. But i have seen a dude gta punch a random man going to the hampton in and right across the street at baders a guy got stabbed or mugged. But honestly ive met some nice characters in the "hood side" of Louisville and honestly you just gotta mind your own and your good.
He's right. There are some parts of the west end and south end that are dangerous. It's been that way for decades. I came up in the 80's in louisville and you're right the school system was very traumatizing for me.
I stayed in Louisville for four years. It's real slow up there. First place I been to where big red drink is popular. Never knew people drunk those until I moved there.
I grew up in PRP in the early 80s when it was white middle-class. We drank Big Red and ate Grippos chips too! Good food knows no color! The corner store (Short Stop) had those three foot long XL freezer pops for a quarter too!
The longer I watch and listen to this, WOW so sad you had to become a boxer by 4th grade. Thats way to early to take blows to the head. It does answer alot of questions about this video though. I did laugh when you pointed out there was a white neighborhood up the street on the right. PRICELESS..
Louisville seemed nice in the summer. I know people that stay not to far from those projects, in the beginning of the video. It gets rough over there at night sometimes.
GTFOH... Just this year 4 murders west of 264 in Shawnee area. one on N 38th St, Louisville, KY 40212 ~ another at the same spot across the street. 4100 W Market St, Louisville, KY 40212 ~ 356 S 42nd St, Louisville, KY 40212 .. and were only halfway thru the year.. how many murders do you guys need down there for it to be bad? SMH at how ignorant some of you people are. i guess thats about normal for you?
For the people who don’t know ,in the beginning of the video he is singing a song ,a legendary song that if played publicly with high volume it may start a riot 😆 it’s called “Louisville” by the Get down click 🔥😮💨 Here’s the link below 👇
Not staying at a hotel near the airport basically applies to 90% of the cities out there, areas near the airport suck!! I think Las Vegas near the airport is fine since the airport is almost right next to the strip.Tampas airport is also near a decent area.
Lived all over this City born n Smoke town Jackson street ..grew up Germantown and Highlands. Lived in Portland, Grand ave/36th, Rustic way and back in Fern Creek now. Love this City and the ppl, but ready for a new start.💔🖤❤💯💯💯
I stay outside the Watterson. I won’t go downtown unless necessary. Craig better fix this crime. I left Hellhole Philly for this. Louisville is two years away from that hell unless something changes.
Bro the crime is bad but it isn’t as bad as you’re saying in the beginning of the video. Buuut, that red light part had me rolling!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I literally ran a red THAT red light while watching this
I lived on Southside Drive in the 50s, right across from Auburndale Elementary before it burned down. It was great to pass the house I lived in even though I couldn't see it. Before that we lived on Brook Street downtown in the early 50s.
WOW thats awesome we also lived on southside, its gone to crap now. very unsafe, many murders over the years.. bikes would not last more than a week.. they would steal them. were in Florida now.. LOU KY got too bad to stay
