Honestly, I wonder if Lourdes took advantage of Jared’s grieving. Because it was clear that she had feelings for him before Mick died, but for Jared, it seemed like Lourdes was the rebound, love of his life was dead, so he married the person he had left of her.

She was dead. She wasn't supposed to come back but she did. Instead of handling it correctly, they botched it up. Jared should have ended his marriage. It was wrong for them to sleep together. It isn't exactly wrong that Jared got with her best friend since she was dead. What is wrong with that situation is when you marry someone hoping they will be the person that you will never truly love.

She was in a car accident with Evie, she was driving, Evie died. After that she did not feel like she deserved to be happy. The accident had everything to do with her hesitation.

Why is Loudes blaming Michaela? She knew Michaela and Jared still loved each other. She knew that there was a chance Jared didnt love her the same way the way she loved him. Michaela gave up her love for Jared because of Loudes. Of course Michaela still loves Jared. In her time, the five years was four days. Why isn't Loudes holding Jared accountable? He slept with Michaela and took advantage of her feelings. He married Loudes while still having feelings for Michaela. Michaela and Loudes both broke girl code(still a stupid rule) Loudes married Michaela's ex and Michaela slept with her husband which is WAY WORSE than what Loudes did.
In normal circumstances Michaela would be wrong but right here in this situation Michaela wasn’t wrong! She tried so hard to let him go when she came back but she couldn’t. I don’t blame her! She came back and found out she was missing for five years, her mother was dead and she missed saying goodbye, the funeral, and to come back and find out the man she was gonna marry is now married to her best friend…. That had to be so damn hard. The two people she wanted to talk to and get comforted by she couldn’t. She even tried to turn Jared down she he showed up to her apartment but then he wanna tell her that she is his soulmate… damn I would have give in also.

Jared’s literally thought his fiancé the girl he was with for 12 years was dead. He was grieving, Lourdes was essentially his rebound. He never expected Mick to come back. Lourdes took advantage of Jared’s grieving. 5 and a half years later the girl who “died” after you proposed to her, comes back. And no time has passed for her. Jared even avoided coming to the hanger because he knew he still loved Mick. Jared lost it after Mick said she was going to look for a new partner. That was when he knew he was going to lose her and he lost it. He tried to stay with Lourdes and convince himself that Mick was a friend who felt bad for but in the end he couldn’t. Lourdes should have yelled at Jared though instead of Mick. But I don’t think Jared could apologize for still loving Mick either because he never got the closure he needed.

Lourdes had it coming no doubt. But Jared and Michaela shouldn't get together and instead move on and just remain police friends. This all should've been resolved in Season 1. The whole Michaela and Jared saga should have been resolved in season 1, have no idea almost 4 seasons in, Jared is still talking about the same things, he said after she got off the plane. If someone proposes to you after 12 years and you STILL need to get on a plane to think it over, i'd say Zeke and the vanishing plane are the least of your problems. Honestly lot's of people don't like Zeke , but he is a great character, loads of character development in all seasons. Can't say the same for Jared, he went from love sick to just sick. At the end of the day, Zeke, the callings and the plane didn't separate Michaela from Jared, MICHAELA did that ALL on HER OWN
I am only 2 seasons in, and I totally agree with you. I can't believe that down the line, Jared remains looming even though Michaela is with Zeke. The love triangle is broken...maybe they should have played the Lourdes angle a bit longer as that was complicated in an emotional way.

Looking at the scenes in season 1 it does seem that way. Especially when Lourdes said she felt scared of finding out the truth. She knew she was Jared’s rebound. I personally don’t think the show needed the love triangle, just put them together in season 1. It is so obvious Mick was still in love with him throughout the entire show. Even Zeke knew it. Zeke’s only role in the show is Mick’s love interest. Jared as a cop has more of a role. Especially with his undercover stint.

I think Micheala loves Jared but also there is some unresolved feelings as well, she needs closure , whatever that looks like. She is married now and honestly there doesn't seem to be a reason for her to divorce unless she really has chosen Jared, but that doesn't seem to be what the storyline is conveying to us. Zeke has a deeper storyline which the writer revealed, he isn't just a love interest, not much is said about Jared, just that the triangle would continue till the end.

I agree the show doesn't need a triangle. Mick isn't clear in terms of her love put in action. I think her wounds are still fresh, unresolved feelings for sure, whether it's love leading to the altar, that's up to the show. You can love someone and not end up with them. Yes Zeke see's lingering feelings and is quite supportive considering the following. According to writers Zeke has a much larger role than just a love interest. Jared although helpful (career) seems to be the odd one out.

I agree with you. She should not have slept with Jared and that was the whole point she immediately regretted it and afterwards and shut down anything between her and Jared. Which was too late and does not make it ok. That being said I also dont like how Lourdes accuses Mick of taking advantage of Jared's confused feelings. When the reality was Jared took advantage of Mick's vulnerable state. So I am just really glad she has not ended up with Jared thus far.
