"Love bombing" is a manipulative tactic where an individual overwhelms their partner with excessive affection and gifts to quickly secure their affection. Once the partner becomes emotionally dependent, the love bomber abruptly stops this attention, a phase known as "discarding." This sudden withdrawal leaves the partner confused and hurt, exposing the manipulative nature of the initial affection. This tactic often makes the partner reliant on the manipulator.
