Thank you Mickey for this video. really appreciate it. it was a great conversation. really looking forward to seeing upcoming amazing videos on your channel
@@pzwumk20sorry about your azizam. I can imagine it wasn’t the easiest decision for her having to deal with the whole family making decisions like that. I didn’t have to go through that but I understand for others is not as easy as my case
Thank you so sharing. Indeed Ghanaians are wonderful. I am a white European girl RU-vidr in Africa Ghana for the first time. The people are friendly and kind. This is not what we were told in school.Coming here is a wonderful experience to me ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Omg, I love Iranian people. So calm and humble. I have couple of them as friends and even my two room mates are all Iranians. I love them and living with them is a fun. I just subscribed and I'm watching from South Korea.
Yeah. She's the first Iranian I personally know and she's an all round nice person. Thanks very much and I hope I will be able to keep you entertained and informed 🙏🏾
The problem is the political and religiously repressive regime in their Iran, women don't enjoy freedom, all the time they're being forced to blindfold themselves dress in black even in the hottest sun. It's common in the Middle East here.
I so agree with that comment, the best way to survive in Ghana is minding your business and staying low key. At the same time i think it's important to find a group of like minded person to associate with . Once again very interesting interview.
Mickey, I came down to Ghana for the first time 2 years ago as a Canadian, lived in Ghana for 1 year and I can categorically say that the issues you both discussed in this video is spot on! The information is 100% accurate in my opinion. First time coming to your channel and I am blown away by the professionalism you've demonstrated. Really good interview. Keep up the good work.
First in comment, infact if we are to vote for the best content creator for the year, i bet, i can vote thousand times for this guy, u see, this kind of education most viewers wont to hear from Ghanaians youth, but if u go on social media, youth can see all insults and personal attacks and unnecessary things all around, we dont make the right use the social than abusement. Thank u brother and keep it fine.
This was very insightful. This lady seems very well adjusted, accommodating and well travelled (travel really does broaden the mind). She and her husband seem a perfect match. 🙏🏻
wow, this is one of the best interviews about Ghana..the Iranian lady was poise, intelligent, and introspective..she will be a really really good customer relations or regulatory affairs for a big company in Ghana..good luck...Please can you share her business information ..tks again
I could see from Anahita's conversation she was prepared to adapt to any changes in her new environment and circumstances which l find very interesting and also useful when moving to another country.
Ghana a country of intelligent and cooperative people. I had a ghanian classmate in London during my IT degree, I crossed Ghana several times when visting my Monrovian clients since 2003.
Indeed I am a white European girl RU-vidr here for the first time.people here are friendly and kind showing me around freely.Ghana is a wonderful country .Africa is what we were told in school. Thank you Ghana ❤❤❤❤❤
It's crazy how the people who see themselves as superior or so inhumane, will walk right by you if you faint, but Africans will help you ,even if your a stranger, human kindnesses
It sounds like America(US). It's about the individual instead of the collective. Everyone for themselves. But when that person (s) are in need and life is in jeopardy they expect someone (anyone) to save them. That idea of thinking is tradion. Media, famous sayings( like pulling yourself up by your own boot straps) even political leaders have helped promote this way of thinking. They never figured it out. It's not about you, it's about all of us.
@@chaneldiane8611 this shows that those people you are referring to have not evolved. They are, in fact, the inferior individual. Good, compassionate and empathic people are the superior ones.
Loved this video. I especially appreciate her being comfortable with exposing and discussing RACISM! It takes courage. It is often seen as just a card Black people from the States play rather than a global system. Thank you for this interview!❤
You are totally right. Black Americans like to play that RACISM CARD a lot when they are in Africa. They see everybody as color issue. They live in society where colorism is an everyday problem hence why are in Africa, they bring along that same mindset.
@@benbo7042 We play it because it’s the only game we know in America. And when our own African brothas and sistahs visit the States, they are often told not to associate with us so even Africans’ race card is dealt differently in America, making them blind to the very racism that DOES exist. White supremacy is a global game but we all respond to it differently. We must have as much patience for our brothas and sistahs of color as we do for white folks who are also very often unaware or ignorant.
@@SPINESHINEGODDESS White supremacy is not a problem. Slave owners in america were not a problem. The problem is the system that made slavery possible and make white supremacy possible. Diseases sintoms/signs are not disease. Fever is not a disease. Did african americans need to kill all slave masters to end slavery? Don't fight people to end white supremacy, fight the system. Don't fight white people, educate them and make white people allies to fight the system. Peace and love from mz, africa.
I think you are living your free life; your revealing beauty is not hiding. I really admire you speak from your heart. It is true, black people judge others by class and not by race, we are the father and the mother of all races.
I have the vlog for a second time, and really love it. Your conversation with Ekow makes me to feel to do far better to help. I am going to get his cashup.
I think I watched an audio of Anahita and her husband. She went to introduce her husband to her family,,The family are kind and received them very well. She is a very good woman because her country,,it's not so easy to marry a foreigner. They are very Tradional people.i respect Anahita and wish her all the happiness,,good health and all that every woman needs in her marriage .❤
Lovely video! Ghana was my dream for many years til I finally managed to go visit. Loved it! I was also blessed to meet a wonderful man who we now are together with. He still lives in Ghana and we are working towards him coming to me in Europe. It was my dream to live in Ghana but after visiting, I learned it is rather impossible. Mostly, because of the bad healthcare system. I don’t feel safe. Also the climate is pretty difficult for me to manage. I still dream and wonder how people move there and manage. Maybe one day my dream will come true. ❤❤❤
You are doing a great job. I like your perspective on issues. For example, our inability to transfer wealth from one generation to another. Businesses go into oblivion once the owner dies.
Awesome interview highlighting the struggles of getting a good standard of living. I really with Ghanaians understood that life in a place like East Legon should be the normal standard of living for all and it should therefore be affordable
Very smart lady. I liked the way she had to check Mickey on the subject of wealth . Ghanaians like to compare Ghana to Western nations even though we are only 65yrs old. Ghana has to go through the growing pains to get to our utmost pinnacle.
@@MickeyAgyeitoday who is older than who is irrelevant quite frankly. Ghana was once richer than south Korea for instance, yet look where you both ARE ECONOMICALLY WORLDS APART. We should talk less and focus on uplifting ourselves.
@@kasikwagoma6740 Exactly. How old we are is irrelevant. However, we need to start with some cultural and behavioral changes. Which I think starts with education and sharing of ideas.
@@MickeyAgyei spot on, you have hit the nail on the head. Do you know that if we could just emulate a little of the Chinese discipline, steely determination, focus and work ethic,Africa would be unrecognisable.
Ghana is the best country. People are nice. peaceful, entertainments, great culture, freedom, good weather, good foods, land of gold, diamond, bauxite, oil, good vegetation, cocoa, many different natural resources, human capital, etc. I can go on and to describe GHANA. Ghana's issues are politicians are corrupt and dragging Ghana behind in development. However, his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa is doing his best to change Ghana into Ghana that will be good for average GHANAIANS.
Nana Addo? Family and friends govt Nana Addo? 1000 plus jubilee house workers Nana Addo? 40% plus inflation Nana Addo? And several other problems Nana Addo?
She is spot on on the topic and straight forward lady thats why she will cope with they. Some Country if you talk anything negative they think you don’t like their Country. V smart lady
Anahita is sacrificing a lot to be with her husband. When she outlined how much transportation can cost and how much she spent on water when her water supply stopped working. I could really understand that. The insights into life in China 🇨🇳 and Iran 🇮🇷 fascinated me. In summary this is a great interview, thank you Mickey.
Bro, it's a relief to her because in Iran if she dresses like this, the religious police would have arrested and thrown her to jail, they can even kill her.
@@rafaelw8115 I think they are ok. I mean life is always challenging no matter who you are. We just have to make do with the positives. What doesn't kill us always makes us stronger.
She right about the pressure on men .. taking care everyone! That too much on the relationship how can one get comfortable financially if your being pulled from the whole family
It's very true. But I also think it's on all of us male or female. As long as you make it within the family, you are expected to foot most of the financial burden within the family.
Hi Mickey, glad to see you’re in Ghana, have been watching you since you were back in the Caribbean, With Sogah Family, Hope to be In Ghanaian November, and see if we can meet up. Will be In Nsawam. I like this interview, your channel have grown. 👍🏾😊
Hellooooo Jett Union. Yes! You are one of the old Gees. Nice to hear from you. Yes I would love to meet you. And yes the channel is growing and I'm hoping to give more meaningful videos. Thanks for being there from the start 🙏🏾
She is deep with her observations. Always love this lady , follow her for about two years now , she is kind, polite and very careful with her choice of words. Mickey is a good communicator too, love this video ❤
My humble opinion on finance if you are making a good salary try to live under your means. Spend less than you make. Safe have patience for the future , do not buy the most expensive , buy what is needed, and slowly you can build better finance. As you get older hopefully you get more knowledge and more wisdom. Nice video very good opinions and information.
I was supposed to go to ghana 4 years ago to be with the love of my life but i never took that leap of faith because people put bad thoughts in my mind that something horrific would happen to me..... my biggest regret ever now i keep my life private
It's always good to know the perspective of people from other countries about Ghana. It paints the right pic of the state of the Country. This chat is really good. Thanks a lot.
im a Tanzanian and i have been to ghana ,Nigeria, zambia, congo, cameroon and SA,of all those countries, ghana is the most expensive. how can u sell a 50 cl bottle of coke for 5cedis that is 350 naira while in nigeria coke is 150 naira. your money that will last u longer in other African countries wont last u far in ghana, what a over pricey country . dont even talk about ghana over expensive houses of low quality yet they charge $2000 per month for a 1bed😂😀😂😭as if its London or NYC
I never heard the name Anahita before. I met a woman named Anahita a month ago at a reggae show, & since then I've seen the name twice. Cornell West (U.S. 2024 presidential candidate) is married to a woman named Anahita, & now I'm watching a woman with that name in Ghana. All 3 are beautiful. Very interesting history behind the name as well
That's a great interview session. I wanted to hear the reaction of both of their parents getting married to a different race I am surprised she claims there is no war in Iran interestingly it's deeply embedded in us that there is war in Iran I think the Western media must be blamed for the propaganda. Sometimes you speak in parables if you can avoid that in your interviews especially when interviewing a foreigner it helps keep the conversation going.
Yeah. That would have been a good question with the parents reaction to their union. I was also trying not to be too inquisitive lol. Iran don't have full blown war but there are tensions when it comes to human right issues which sometimes prompts protests. And also once in a while they'll have a diplomatic standoff with the west. You are very right about me speaking in parables. I realised when editing that I lost her with eating your eggs before they hatch. And men going to war and women cleaning our shields. I will bear that in mind. Thanks for the feedback.
@@MickeyAgyei Sure you are right but next time be inquisitive for the sake of some of us you might never know the next Ghanaian who might be getting married to an Iranian
nice interview! I was thinking, l know this guy from somewhere, then you mentioned: the UK, and children, then l remembered '' Family by Nature channelel''l watched your interview there.
She is living a different life than the actual Iranian ladies have met on campus here in Europe. She has a flare of Western life where she feels her right dominates that of the man which isn't so even in her own culture
I'm surprised by this reaction. I'm a middle Eastern myself, my family teach, us women, to have rights. Education is being supported and very important to us. You can find a lot of business women and female doctors. Please don't confuse the strong regime that's handled, for example in Iran, is the standard! It has nothing to do with Western flair
Seen. Out of interest. Is it because she was using the old "Ghana is still young" excuse to justify our love for instant gratification; which I think is our no.1 Achilles heel?
That would only be the African Americans that you’re dealing with. Folks have to STOP generalizing. I am an American woman of African slave & Native American & White descent (see how I broke that part down) - Not all black folks in America are the same just like All Africans are the same. The ONLY thing we have in common over here is being born out of slavery, generationally stifled dealing with systemic & outright racism… but each of us have different familial mixtures, backgrounds, the environment in which we were raised… I for one know about class distinction among other “Afro-Americans” …. In addition to the racism from All who have been influenced by lies from colonizers and their descendants, we still get the class issue among the Afro-American (many do not associate that word with it) we just say that “Black folks don’t stick together.” Or the term “Uppity Negro” comes to mind. Both of my parents were college graduates and school teachers, I am not a college graduate, because I learn quickly and don’t like school but when I was in school I was straight A’s. I’m married with 1 child and 2 stepchildren- 1 deceased from a heart attack from an undiagnosed heart defect. I am a creative and I an empath. I care more about how I affect someone negatively or positively more than what my net worth is compared to them. I related my personal life to demonstrate that Everyone is different. My family and I don’t have much but we love each other. We make do with what we have and pray to be content and appreciative to God for what we do have. What irritates me is I know enough not to say that All Ghanaians are thinking a certain way or All Iranians or All of African… lumping Afro-Americans together saying “We don’t get it” is an ignorant observation. I don’t do that to folks because of my life’s experiences. I’ve lived under the racism but I know for a fact that all white people aren’t racist. I also know that not all black folks over here understand each other, nor do they all support each other, just like everywhere else. I do go by Bible teachings to Know God’s thoughts on matters and understanding how we All should be treating each other. And there are Afro-Americans who will roll their eyes and become agitated with me even saying that. The right thing to say is “The Afro-Americans that I have personally come across or have had experience with didn’t understand classism, they only thought in terms of racism” Don’t y’all understand that that is rude to say that 1 person or a small percentage of the people that you have interacted with DO NOT represent the Whole. I normally don’t comment but I’m just tired of the attitudes those who feel as if “higher learning” somehow cleansed them of ignorance. Your knowledge came from the experiences of the people who created the curriculum & your own personal experiences OUTSIDE of that, a person doesn’t know what they don’t know UNTIL they are set straight or their new experience. I enjoyed watching the interview but I just folks would calm the “one represents the group” mentality. Y’all don’t do it within your own cultures, and even other cultures except Afro-Americans… everyone has an opinion on US.
The thing I learned in Ghana is: While for me (Black amerikkkan) Ghana was not terribly expensive as far as cost to survive, BUT ... The quality and conveniences of life that you get dollar for dollar is lacking. The home you can rent in Ghana for $1000 USD per month is just "sufficient" ... (good nuff) by US standards, while in much of Asia and Latin America and even poorer locales in Europe, $1000 USD per month gets you something quite nice with some added conveniences and luxuries.
As a local, I deem it a crime to rent anything in Ghana for $1000 a month. Not worth it. Let's ask ourselves how the locals are surviving? I believe foreigners are being taken advantage of.
@@MickeyAgyei I have no doubt of that. And, sadly, we are running up prices for the locals. But, without the tourist dollars they'd suffer as well. But I know I can have the mirror image of a Ghana vacation in much of Asia or Latin America for half the price, and that applies to airfare also. Africa doesn;t make economic sense except for those hellbent on visiting Africa and no place else will do.
@@ghusaghusa2135 It's very true. I see some of the prices and I get disgusted by the greed. One of my business strategies is to offer quality customer service at a reasonable price.
You do this thing a lot of ghanaians do: you dont know how to have conversations. Learn to be silent when people are talking stop cutting them off every three seconds. She's explaining something then you cut her off to ask a question she was already explaining
She is so brilliant, outspoken and open minded. I used to have a male friend from Iran and he was on the reserved side. She has the same smile like Aubameyang (Footballer, Gabon). So much respect for her and her thought process. Much love from Nigeria!
Money makes every place nice. You go to Maldives, luxury resort luxury lifestyle, Male the capital when you land you can see it isn't Monaco but each has it own charm...
Ghana really needs to up its productivity to become economically successful, 9-4 working hours won’t cut it. That’s one thing Naija have over a lot of African countries.
