@@BraedenMyers Thanks for answering my question. I received a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface for a gift and I'm clueless on what to do with it. 😳 Hopefully I will be able to use it like you are using your Logic vey soon.
Thanks man! I did all my processing in logic, not exactly sure what EQ settings I had. Probably a cut around 500Hz and a small boost around 100. I also parallel processed it with some distortion to give some grit like on the original recording.
Thank you! Yes I’m tuned down a half step. A lot of gospel players do that because a lot of gospel songs are in keys like Ab, Db, Eb, etc. Makes it easier to play
@@BraedenMyers Why the "...I believe"?? Matt Ramsey is the reason you and everyone else is looking at this video/post, not Kirk Franklin. Just sayin'- give the man full props, erase any doubt!! IT'S MATT RAMSEY. Otherwise, GREAT job! 👍👏
Sure! Went through an 8x10 simulated amp in Logic, boosted around 60 and 900Hz. Compression. Most of my tone though is coming from the parallel processing I did. I sent it to logic’s stock distortion, made it pretty dirty, then blended that signal with the dry. Hope that helps!
lol this was so long ago but I believe I went directly into my interace, then amp sim and compression in logic. Then snuck in a little parallel distortion for that matt ramsey sound
