They're all freakin different. There's almost no repeats. They could easily have gotten away with one speech for everyone with maybe one extra line. But no, there's more dialogue here than in entire games

I love that they try to kinda play it safe, like you don't want to actually make anyone angry enough to like impact the gameplay or whatever, but the responses of Minthara and Laezel are the funniest shit "ohhh noooo you love somebody else ahhhghghhghghg" as opposed to "Did you know that there are 209 bones in your body. half of those are in your fingers. I am going to break half of your bones."
It's interesting that everyone, while not being ok with you two-timing, chosing someone else... are acting very calmly for this type of situation, no brawl, no sudden death of the PC for being a jerk. It's a group of weirdos but a friendly one.
It kills me because he just assumes you're choosing the other person every time. He tends to be the most flippant about it but not because he cares the least, it's because he sincerely can't fathom being loved by someone and fully expected to be dropped by you for your "true" love already 😢 the others actually had hope, he did not 😭
It's the worst because the game lets you do other romances at the same time in act one. So Karlach says she's fine with it but to 'Save some for me' later but then if you sleep with her you have to immediately break her heart to continue with the other relationship or the other (good) option is to completely ignore her dialogue prompt until the other relationship is locked in.
@@brazzb761 The game leads you on... Karlach says it's fine to romance someone else but she's under the expectation you'll 'save some' for her once she can touch you. But then she wants you all to herself once it happens, you have to either break up with the other romance or refuse to spend a night together to get a slightly less guilt-ridden but still sad dialogue.
I want to preface this by saying; Larian really knocked it out the park, this is an RPG that is basically unmatched in branching, interwoven stories, it's extremely complex, well written and even ties directly into gameplay at times. Most of the breakup dialogue is unrealistically soft, everyone who's ever been in a relationship knows that 99% of people aren't casual about you leaving them or cheating on them (not that I ever have or would cheat on someone but have had to break up before).
Bro baited me into making magic tricks, tried to make out with me, got declined, assumed we were a fuckin couple, and got his heart broken within a day and a half.
This happened to me at launch before the scale patch. I gave Gale the stuff he asked for, didn't see the magic stuff, and he *still* assumed my character was in a relationship with him. Broke his heart via Halsin.
I just got this 2 weeks ago…dude I never meant to lead you on this play through…ended up flipping Gale off for that guilt trip. My 11 year old walked in during in it and decided I am more of a chaotic neutral than good but ended up laughing.

I got the Lae'zel relationship up to "exceptional" in Act 2 and I assume there's more to it in Act 3, but already I'm at a point where I could not bring myself to beyray Lae,zel.

I do wish they had more elaborate reasons fr them expressing feelings, or that some had to be pursued so it felt a bit more organic than just hitting the approval trigger for it.
shadowheart is not down for a 3rd love wise. she seems to only agree to things if it's only for lust & appreciates if you include/tell her first. she doesnt let u date others alongside her and only lets u have sexual relations with others if u did it with her first
Im a HUGE Shadowheart simp, and ill ALWAYS choose her, but soooo many times I came close to abandoning her fir Karlach. Shes such a mood a giant softy lol

Thanks for going through the effort of recording and uploading this. But I gotta say, the editing leaves a lot to be desired. Scrambling the pieces in such a weird order, some not even making sense without context.
Honestly dont see how a lot of people get dialogue for breaking up with minthara by committing to someone else, because usually by the time you have her in moonrise, relationships are already in motion. Confusing
@@pol_eo idk...if you're poly with halsin after killing Cazador it does seem like he's confident with the relationship with you. I think Astarion is poly, he's just insecure and not comfortable before he knows that he is free. Although yeah for someone like Astarion he does need someone that could heal him truly before starting any poly relationship
@@kekekemer9057 it certainly could be the case, i can see it. there was one line (if you ask him if he is ok with you sleeping with Halsin) "it's not because WE hadn't in a while?" which means that he is insecure about that part of your relationship and was afraid you will leave him if you find connection with someone else who doesn't have a problem with sex, but he knows the bear is not into that kind of commitment. maybe when Cazador is dead he feels more confident about this, and also doesn't not rely on Tav so much for protection
As much as i love the game there are definitely some flaws. Shadowheart being poly also makes no sense when you look at her background of distrust. It really felt like they just needed a poly character or female, so they kind of just rolled the dice and decided on her as the safe bet. She definitely seems like she would come off as possessive. The only time it makes even a bit sense is the shar route because then, she cant be commited.
You don't have to side with anyone in act 1. You can just move on without getting involved. The Tieflings will ultimately die if you don't get involved, but you can keep your companions. You only lose them if you actively attack the grove. It's really quite incredible that doing nothing is also a choice.
So you really can only do the poly thing with Halsin? Lame. Wyll and Karlach should be allowed to be in a relationship with you and each other. :/ Maybe also Shadowheart and Karlach, since so many ship them together. Including the VAs.
Buddy, the way you solve is a love triangle by not being a fucking pussy and choosing. Or polyamory, though that only works with Halsin and Shadowheart.
