Both are lead guitarist just fyi. THERE IS NO SUCH THING A rhythm guitarist in Lovebites. They both share lead & rhythm to compliment each other in every songs they’ve performed. And yes, Midori uses a ESP. The dean guitar is Miyako in black outfit. Prob. if not, one of the best guitarist in our generation both male & female.
@@Guitarz4Lyf lol. We all make minor mistake. Lovebittens appreciate the recognition & love to one of the best metal bands in the world. Kinda funny sayin that bc majority of the general public/music audience in YT never heard of them or considered them as an underrated band compare to the mass popularity with other japanese/Europe bands. It’s unfortunate that their live shows and tours were delayed/canceled bc of the pandemic this yr.
Both Miyako and Midori are lead guitarists. I love the way Miyako plays keyboards with her right hand and power chords on her Dean Icon with her left hand. Piano, classical concert level piano is her main instrument having played it for twenrty-seven of her thirty years. Guitar is her second insrtrument which she started to learn to play at the age of eighteen when she was at university..She also plays a mean bass finger style and some drums. Most of the members of Lovebites have a solid classical training and are multi-instrumentalists.
Every single LoveBites song is an emotional glorious journey, there's been nothing like this band since Priest and Maiden hit the scene. I've got everything they've released and it's magic, there is NO bad LB song. Proud member of The Wolf Pack since 2017.
Welcome back get bites from Lovebites. What a great reaction and great analysis. I'm enjoyed. Thank you so much. You right, this band all musicians is insane and world class talent. Almost musicians is multi talented too. They can play two instrument. The drummer haruna, she can play guitar too. The bassists miho, she can play guitar and drum too. Asami the vocalist, she can play piano. Midori, the lead guitarist, can play piano too. And of course Miyako the lead guitarist, she is professional classic pianist too, can slap bass too, and little bit drummer. Next song try some power ballads of them. The song called "Edge of the world" Hope you check out and can enjoy it too. Big thanks. And I'm sorry if my English is bad. I'm still learning. Hope you still understanding what about I'm saying.
To commemorate the 3rd anniversary of the release of their first album "Awakening from Abyss", Lovebites did this live studio version playing the full album in its entirety, plus a bonus cover song (Helloween's Eagle Fly Free). If you get a chance, check out that song. Great reaction!
Fun fact: Both drummers Akane (Band Maid) and Haruna (Lovebites) are friends! Im really like both your Lovebites and Band Maid reactions, the best two bands out there right now, for me. Please more of them! As you know Band Maid just released a new album last week and Lovebites are releasing a new EP in March. what a great start of the year with these two bands releasing new music! Thanks for great videos and stay safe.
Judging from their social media posts, they record each instrument separately. This was a special recording session done last year. To celebrate the third anniversary of their first album, they played the whole album as an online live concert.
Glad you came back to Lovebites--about time!!! @Majestic Morpheus gave you the history, so I'll not repeat it but just make a couple of comments. They were formed from the remnants of the legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Just for the record, Haruna, the Pocket Nuke, is all of 4'9", and made of steel. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and now they’re taking it to another level. One key to their sound is that the two shredders are so different in style and tone. Midori is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets really rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Welcome to the Wolf-Pit!
LOVEBITES - Burden Of Time lyrics: Sleepless nights, with every passing day I'm dreaming life away Faceless moon, tell me, what would you say If you could curse your fate The daylight will die Silent noise is ringing in my head Killing me through the night Scars might fade, but the pain will remain Save me before the dawn As days go by I'm standing here Still fighting it One day I must change (Don't waste your time) Time is fair to everyone (Don't waste your life) Time and tide wait for no one Don't ever be afraid to die young and live fast (Don't waste your time) Time is slipping away from us (Don't waste your life) Time keeps changing, and so do we Live as if today was the last day Starless nights, with every passing day I'm swinging life away An empty glass is falling down again What's happening in my life? The blood stains remain Flames will ignite Searching for the light In this time In due time I'm standing here Still fighting it One day I must change (Don't waste your time) Time is fair to everyone (Don't waste your life) Time and tide wait for no one Don't ever be afraid to die young and live fast (Don't waste your time) Time will never be the same (Don't waste your life) Time is running out too soon Racing against the clock But we can't escape from tomorrow (Don't waste your time) Time is slipping away from us (Don't waste your life) Time keeps changing, and so do we Live as if today was the last day

Lovebites may be the best band anywhere right now, to me they are. This is from their Studio Live Stream, and as some others mentioned, they did a Helloween cover, amazing one. Yes, I watched the actual live stream. It is not uncommon in Japan that other members do support vocals or even full on vocals. For example, Scandal is a four member band and they all sing, compose and write lyrics, including the drummer. They have their own label, active for 15 years and coined the term J-Rock. Nemophila also has all members doing support vocals, Band-Maid has most members doing it too and a bunch of other bands. There are about 20-30 active all female bands from there and more are emerging. All top notch talent. Majority have all member or most of the members doing some form of vocals.
The Dean is pretty much modified. The pickups are replaced from Dean original to Fishmans, and changed to active. Condensers are replaced, and wiring is modified as well. The other guitar and the bass guitar are ESPs.
I absolutely LOVE Band Maid, but Lovebites owns my musical heart completely at this point. I've heard each of their songs at least fifty times, and NONE of them has started to sound overplayed yet!
Their guitarists are better, BM is better on drums and bass, the singing could be discussed. But their composing is far bellow BM. They are still amazing.
@@ausoleil8269 both bands are awesome drums, bass, vocal, guitars are top notch the level out of the world I don't like compare Lamborgini to Mazzerati.
yup they all sing except drummer haruna - as you can tell she's pretty busy ! but who knows ? she probably CAN sing with the talent she has. midori's purple guitar is an ESP. i believe an e-11. and good job on the names - all correct. only the pronunciation of haruna seems to get crossed up as in interviews i hear the first syllable enunciated like HAR- una instead of ha-ROON -a. haruna from scandal also pronounces it that way. but all the reactors do it so don't feel lonely !
