Miho wrote this shortly after her father passend away at the age of 49. He was a paramedic. From him Miho got the need to help others. During Covid Miho's interest shifted from music to helping others so in august 2021 she left Lovebites.
It now hits even more given his profession. I work in the Emergeny Medical field as well as an EMT. I had no clue what his profession was, perhaps that was the unknown source of emotion that came over me at the end.
You are correct, Sir. This was dedicated to Miho's father who used to take her to this venue to see metal concerts, and she told him she would be on this stage someday, and now she is, only without him. Makes me want to cry too. Miho will surely be missed.
Hoping she has fully recovered from the sorrow that she had to go through and is happy and cheerful once again. Miho was responsible for what Lovebites is now .....the best heavy metal band existing on planet earth 🌏. And I am so thankful to her for this . She will be and always be missed a lot. MIHO you are much appreciated ALWAYS. 🐺🤘🔥 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
great reaction as always, thank you, 49 is the age of Miho's father when he died, very young, seeing Miho cry makes me cry every time too, it was nice to see that he moved you, it will never happen, but my dream is that you find serenity and come back to the band, the whole wolfpack loves her
Great reaction you make, from the best metal band I have heard in 42 years. You just show that you are also a human being. The best regards from the Kingdom of Denmark. Up the irons
Thanks for the great reaction. It is a great tribute to her dad but I get the feeling that they will never play this live again out of respect to Miho. To add another layer to the emotion I had previously heard that her dad used to take her to this venue to see other metal bands and it is really a shame that he was not able to watch his little girl perform there.
LOVEBITES - Journey To The Other Side lyrics: Across the River Styx Within the half eclipse This is the beginning of your final judgement days Now then, let’s count your sins Lies will bring discipline Too late to apologize, it’s time to pay the price You’ve saved the lives of countless souls Except your very own life I’m suffering sorrow and pain It’s killing me inside Counting to forty-nine Your sentence comes in time Till then please let us mourn To lighten your burden I dedicate this song to you It’s too early for death I hate to say goodbye to you But I’ve got to say… Journey to the other side Pray for you, always in our memories Carry on your great legacy Journey to the other side I will stay strong because I know it Won’t be long till I see you again Someday ----- lyrics: miho music: miho & Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
Miho! 😥 Asami was there to comfort her!! Some people say since her father was a paramedic, the pandemic hit her hard. She wants to help other people like her father did! As a fan its hard to see her leave the band but its her decision and it makes sense, she has my full support in what ever she decides to do! Music or not! Thank you!! Awesome reaction, not many people react to this gem of a song. MDO is also amazing, the whole album is! 🤘🐺🎸✨🎶
"Journey to the Otherside" (lyrics by Miho / music by Miho, Mao) was written by Miho in memory of her father who died. During the song she started crying ( 17:20 ) . So Asami hugged her, understanding Miho's condition.
@@GlassMoonGaming She didn't miss a note. She's like our collective sister. It hurts watching her in pain, and that she chose to leave the band she founded.
LOVEBITES - M.D.O. lyrics: After came the permanent disaster A tragic neurological disorder Turning me into a crazy monster Inverting what I see to be imposters “Never have I seen this” said the doctor Observing my condition and I wonder Beauty’s in the eye of the beholder But maybe it’s because of my disorder Burning me to sin Is this salvation? Deceive those who are seeking truth Believe only the justice in you Naive thinking will lead to doom Betrayals don’t ever come from your enemies M.D.O. Turning me to rust Is this damnation? So free, blinded by ugly truth Agree only to your point of view Defeat bigotry and its rules Don’t trust what you see, but believe your enemies M.D.O. ----- lyrics: miho music: miho & Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) (Most Devastating Observations)
every time i watch this performance i cant help but to cry i remember my father who pass away many years ago although its a cool song but so much emotional underneath to it nice
I am not an emotional guy but every time I hear this I cry bucket loads. Its almost a therapeutic emotional release .... Good on you Miho for your Tribute to your Father ;) As an aside if you watch Haruna, she has a very serious face a lot of the time, she kept looking at Miho, as a rhythm section always does, but not with confidence but with concern ... What a Band of Friends! :)
Thank God you finally got to this suggestion. I knew you would get there. And I knew you would feel it. Yes it is about the death of her father at the age of 49. Poor Miho looked sad and lost right from the start. And then that part with Asami always chokes me up. My eyes tend to leak too. I don't know how she managed to finish the song And Asami respectfully sings it up to Miho's father in heaven through most of the song. Love the bonus of M.D.O too.
Hopefully other reactors will read as much into this song as you have my friend, there aren't many reactions to this. Heart breaking ending. Phenomenal writing. Poignant lyrics. Another masterpiece. 🐺💥🤘👌👍
I just hope more reactors HEAR the song, and I've always thought, if some of the bigger reactors would take a chance, some of these amazing bands would get an instant boost in fans. I'll keep doing my part at least!
No shame in getting choked up and letting loose a few tears. I've seen this dozens of times and it never fails. All of us in the Wolfpack are hoping for the best for Miho and for the band.
Yeah that was an emotional heavy moment for Miho . And Asami was there for her, and no one let the show down. So strong these women are but still fragile. Bless Miho for all she gave us . I hope she is doing well. I know she wont probably come back, but if she did in the future, their fan base would just EXPLODE with joy !
I can not tell you how many times I have seen this and still chokes me up. The whole band felt Miho's pain and you can see it in their faces. What a true professional Miho is to keep playing through that pain. This is yet another reason why I love Lovebites so much.
i have never been as emotionally invested in a band in all of my 69 years as i am with LOVEBITES. i know it may sound arrogant but i really feel as if i know all of them personally having followed them from the beginning. and what a ride it's been. one thing i wondered was the meaning of the lyrics in 'journey ' that say 'counting to 49' . well now i know and it's the toughest live to watch. i thought miho's dad was 50 something. makes sense now.
It's not arrogant. I've felt the same way with some bands I've listened to all my life too. Her dad being close to my age and in the same field of work (emergency medicine) really puts a heavier heart on it when I hear it.
In [Journey to the Otherside] I can't get past that part without crying every time, even when I listen to the studio version, I get emotional at that same part of the song. Miho💜💜💜
Huh, the guy who always posts LOVEBITES' lyrics hasn't shown up yet. Weird, I _never_ beat him to a reaction! Asami is singing, "Counting to forty-nine," when it sounds like she was singing 1949. I always cry like a broken faucet when I see Miho start to break down. Part of the reason I started looking for new music when I did was 1) because I had just resigned from the company I practiced for for decades after they were sold and 2) most importantly, my own father passed away in January of 2020 after a four year losing battle with dementia. I was depressed and not grieving and not taking care of myself, so my wife told me not to look for employment for a while, to take time off and let myself heal. Music had always been my refuge, so when a group called BAND-MAID came along and quickly led me to LOVEBITES and many others, it meant a lot to my mental state. I saw this performance, learned the reason why, and immediately grew attached to Miho like she was a little, more-talented spiritual sister who didn't know I exist. That's also a big reason of why I won't watch another channel where the guy said Miho, "looked like a girl from Iowa with daddy issues." Even if her dad was alive and healthy, that's still a shitty thing to say, not to mention bizarre.
Quite bizarre indeed! The lyrics are here now! LOL. Once I found out that it was 49, his age, and that he was a parmedic, it hit even harder, given that I'm 46 and an EMT. EMS Brotherhood knows no bounds!
I will surely miss miho, she's also one of my favorite beside midori, she's the unsung hero of lovebites, i liked all her composition, i'll miss her😢😢😢
This is a tough one for loyal wolfpack to watch. Great song, but an emotional performance. I don't think they will ever play this song live again. THIS is a big reason why I was so shocked when Miho decided to leave Lovebites. They are like a family to us.
Not sure if Miho was the theme on purpose, but these are both her songs. M.D.O. is a typical amazing Miho thrashfest, and others have said plenty about Journey to the Otherside. She's awesome.
I have no word for this, she is the leader and founder of the great female metal band, Lovebites but we has to respect her decision. I believe she also want to see Lovebites keep continue their journey no matter what happen because she has created the best female metal band with Asami,Haruna, Midori and Miyako.
For sure! Whether she's there with them or not, she should be proud of what they accomplished together and what they will go on to accomplish in the future. She can always know that she was a founder!
