This song, and in particular the studio version/music video is now my all-time favroite song. With 50+ years of listening to metal behind me, that means a lot to me. I will second @boyzyu and his suggestion to watch "The Hammer of Wrath" live.
Asami’s voice is unmistakable and is absolutely amazing. She seems to be able to sing at that intensity without tiring, with amazing breath control. She sings a song in this register whether the first or last song of a two hour show. I like drawing comparisons with the late Ronnie James Dio, who, like Asami, sang every song with maximum emotion and as Asami has said, as if it is her last ever song. The best bit..RJD and Asami have the same birthday, 10th July.
It actually makes me happy to see Ronnie James dio's name brought up. I was born in the 90s but "holy diver" has always been a favorite song of mine growing up and is still one of my all time favorite songs. Really brought back a lot of good memories mentioning him. Shes in great company and thats a good comparison 🙂
Several voice specialists, singers and coaches, have been surprised when they hear her. They are amazes at that she can sing with this tone during entire song and even more, during an entire concert. It is tiring to keep this color. But she does. And she do have fantastic breath control.
Hello I’m from Japan. When I was a teenager、RJD’s music and his voice always motivated me. I never thought young japanese women could do that、2017. Ronnie-san and Asami-san have many thing in common.If he were alive、he would have admired her highly . Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just seven years. Their main influences are the great metal bands of the past but they have been developing their own unique style. I just subscribed. Good reaction. Lovebites is my favorite band. This is one of my favorite songs and videos. Great interpretation of the lyrics. Most of the great lyrics are written by Asami. “The Hammer of wrath” from nockin’ at heavens gate is a nice one to do next. Someone left the link in the comments. My first encounter with Lovebites was the song “Epilogue “ mid december 2020. Fell in love immediately and started to watch lots of their music. Got a lot of merchandise. 5 blu-rays, several albums, t-shirts and other stuff. Subscribed.

Yeah I enjoy a lot of their music. I'm still trying to get ahead on reactions but when I do, I plan on going through the catalog of groups I enjoy the most, one being lovebites. So you can expect to see them a lot more in the future. Yeah the first video was a huge shock! I wish my reaction was a bit better though. It was my 5th video and I am still trying to figure out my "style" Of reaction. I feel this video is a more confident and better quality over the other though I hope.

Your reactions, thus far, have been very good. Keep at it. In Shinto religion there is an equivalent of Judgement Day from other religions. Believe it is called the Judgement of King Enma. There is no concept of sin or salvation in the Shinto Religion. This was a sticking point for the Japanese when they first encountered Jesuits (Catholics) from Portugal in 1543. The Christian concept of sin was very strange as the Japanese did not accept their ancestors had sinned (done wrong). Consider the line "Travelling in the past, find salvation." Whether or not this line is from a Christian point of view can be considered. Christians make up only 1% of the Japanese population. Just a quick note, The Portuguese helped found the port of Nagasaki for the purpose of international trade with Japan.
