Hey Bruce, welcome back to the ladies of Lovebites..

There is just something special about this band.

Meet new bassist Fami. She was 20 when she joined last Oct. The rest of the ladies are early 30's. 2nd single from the new album ,Judgement Day released earlier this year. My favorite from that record. This is a cool video as you get to see them in regular clothes, and just having fun. The songs were written before her, but Fami brought her style to it. The title track was the 1st single, both have a bass intro. Basically, meet the new member songs, here she is. lol. She fits in very well. The blonde guitarist is Midori. Yeah, she shreds. Miyako can shred just as good too. Yes, they are scheduled to play Prog Power in Atlanta next year, hopefully it turns into a full American tour. The new DVD, Knocking on Heavens Gate is the live concert from this past spring. Stand and Deliver was played there, but they haven't released it on RU-vid yet. Only 3 have been so far, Hammer of Wrath, Nameless Warrior , and Judgement Day.

Bruce, you nailed what sets LOVEBITES apart for me and for many fans. They aren't just elite musicians who settle for crafting and performing excellent music, they also write music and lyrics that inspire. As in this song's lyrics, they "bring something new to this world" of metal that resonate globally. Don't overlook the huge effort it takes for them as native Japanese to write and sing almost wholly in English, despite the phonetic challenges (compare to other excellent Japanese bands that shy away from this). LOVEBITES is obviously on a global mission, and reactors like yourself are doing an excellent job in this effort, and deserviing of support by fans. They not only brought something new, they bring something that the world really needs ... hope and inspiration ... which transcend culture, gender, and genre.

So happy for everyone across the pond. What a magical experience seeing Lovebites will be....here's hoping they revisit England at some point. 🐺

I see it the same way: These ladies are phenomenal, pairing Metal excellence with awesome lyrics of hope, humanity and ecouragement. They shine a light in Metal. Asami (lead vocals) knows the struggle for "the right" way through difficult, burdening and discouraging times herself. She had to try 3 different ways to reach her place in life, on 2 ways she was rejected by "important" people and had to restart elsewhere. A few years ago, she made it to Lovebites at last, and the rest is history. 😄Now she can encourage others with her voice, messages, and her personal light of confidence. 😊 Special recommendation of mine: "Epilogue" (live, of course), a ballad on humanity and individual value, coming straight to the point. Get handkerchiefs beforehand. The song softens the hardest hearts. 🐺

You could not wish for a better band: 5 top musicians, making excellent music as friends, spreading lyrics of hope, encouragement, individual value and humanity. To me, they are a gift to mankind, smiling happily as often as they possibly can. Unbelievable. Let 's just relish their music and vibe as long as we can. 😊🐺

Man, nice reactions dude, you should take a look at "Rising", one of the most inspiring and uplifting lyrics i've ever heard, trust me you will absolutely love it, and many of the songs by these ladies are about hope and being the best version of you as a human being, I'm hooked since I discovered them, what a treasure!!!

The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as: BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, MOTöRHEAD, JUDAS PRIEST, TWISTED SISTER, OZZY OSBOURNE, LEMMY KILMISTER, ZAKK WYLDE, NIKKI SIXX, JOE PERRY, ANTHRAX, SLAYER, TESTAMENT, SAXON, NIGHTWISH, TRIVIUM, RAMMSTEIN, SABATON, CHILDREN OF BODOM, ARCH ENEMY, MACHINE HEAD (and this is not a complete list). What comes to mind with these women is the 'Gestalt Theory'. Based on the original philosophical writings of Aristotle. " The whole is greater than the sum of the parts". Future music historians will will refer to Lovebites as a band that greatly influenced the path of music. The more clips you watch from this band you will see what I mean. Take a look at 'A Frozen Serenade' (live). Many people over use the word 'masterpiece'. But that one truly is!!

Midori is the dive bomb queen. Her control over the whammy bar is next level. Also ... respect for working hard to get your life sorted and overcoming those isses that held you back in the past. Music can definitely play a part in your journey, and LOVEBITES especially have a LOT of songs with very inspirational lyrics.

Keep LOVEBITES in your future. 【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】 When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience. Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus. Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means. For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult. From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver. "Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!" Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king. Asami wanted to avoid that. Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver. Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning. Stand up and be free! Rise up and be free! Arise and be free! Let's get up and be free! Lovebites is a great band and very uplifting. Another band with extremely positive lyric messages is Band Maid. Hard rock, not metal like Lovebites but also a great band.

Lovebites appeal is their positivity, they are the antithesis of everything metal had become. And they’re better than anything else before them. But man….get to the back of a very long queue that would gladly donate limbs to hang out with them….🙂

Welcome to the Wolfpack! Great review and you are spot on - this is the best band on the planet right now and their music is so technically amazing, and also uplifting as heck. My favorite songs by them are super-inspiring, such as the live version of Edge of the World, and We the United. (I'd recommend the live versions from "Five of a Kind" as I believe those are the final two songs of the show, and just show not only an emotional depth, but a very wide range.) "Why do we learn to hate / deceive and lie? / Hurt each other?" is how EotW starts - and it just gives me goosebumps and brings me near to tears.

Subbed and enjoying the Lovebites. You had mentioned you'll be getting Band Maid on the channel. I'm a fan of theirs too. But a third all female Japanese band you might want to check out is Nemophila. Again, hard hitting music with positive lyrics. My favorite of theirs is "Adabana".

I can only imagine, how many people are more crazy, more individual inside, than they seem to be from the outside, but who have been pushed back and down too many times by circumstances, by expectations from others. Realize, who you really are individually, and live that. It is so simple, yet so important, and so heavy. This should be a world full of individuals. We, as society, should be a personality caleidoscope. Instead, we became a "grey" mass of adapted copies. Lovebites set out to change that. 😊 Similar song from them: "Edge of the world". For more outstanding Happy Metal, try the song "Rise", by the all-female Japanese Metal band "Nemophila". Equal to "Lovebites" in terms of music quality and power, Nemophila are maybe rather "punky", whereas Lovebites are rather "arty". But whoever is amazed of Lovebites, has to also know "Nemophila". 😊Their song "Rise" gets you on your feet, like their song "Revive". 😁 But beware, "Nemophila" music is highly addictive to Happy Metal fans! 😉 The sun definitely rises in the East. 😁
