Feel free to comment. I'm still replying to the comments on my oldest series, Alan Wake. :) The use of real world occult history and principles in this game makes it fascinating if you know the source material the devs are referencing. There are dedicated Lore videos that were unlocked by subscriber stretch goals that are coming out starting this month (Jan 2022) though due to the oddness of my recording schedule, the first will be Control's connection to Gnosticism and then the nature of ceremonial magic is Cultist Simulator and RL will be next.

That woman’s name was Rosalind Franklin I believe. Both she and Watson were friends of my great grandfather who actually worked on the DNA project with them. They had a very interesting relationship. From what I understand she actually wasn’t mad that they used her work. More exasperated. She proved the existence of the sugars that formed the containment. From what little family stories I know she was a super meticulous woman. But the DNA itself was their idea.

My primary complain is that until recently, her contribution was completely overlooked. There are a lot of people erased in scientific history in favor of the "superstars" who are household names.

I read that as Ecolysis....referencing snakes shedding their skin. I guess it fits still.

I mention that meaning too in the next episode. Most symbolism in occult traditions has more than one meaning. The literal meaning attracts the people like the Dancer who are interested in self-transformation and the reference to 'ekstasis' advertising to the customer looking for a magical boost.

Ecdysis is the name for basically the same idea, but for insects where they shed that hard and inflexible exoskeleton, rather than shedding their outer skin only.

It's nice of you to try but the damage to my speech centers hinders me from learning pronunciation in text form. It's why it is so off in the first place. I use a phonic form of speech therapy which can take a while to catch on.
