Lovecraft Country S1 Ep.5-6 REVIEW 

Episode 5 👠 is my favorite scene lol 😂

I am really loving your reviews of Lovecraft Country. This show had me hooked from the moment they started running the trailer. It is deep in a way that leaves you heavy after watching, but entertaining enough that it keeps you coming back for more. I listened to the LC podcasts and have watched the weekly reviews of countless RU-vidrs (for the first time i sought out reviewers of a show) just to gather their perspectives. Interestingly, I feel so much for this show and its importance to our culture that I never watched any non-black reviewers of Lovecraft Country. It touches on things that hit so personal for black people...those nuances that are easily missed if you're not in this skin, that i felt protective over my experience of LC. A white woman won't understand what it meant for Ruby to be in the white skin, experiencing the world as Hillary, but seeing it as Ruby. The white men don't get what, we as black women, felt when Lettie picked up that bat and the black men IMMEDIATELY took up arms of protection for her. White women have always been protected, but to see that scene...it could easily be skimmed over but not by the black RU-vidrs! Thanks for the reviews, its like I'm experiencing the show all over again.

They sure wouldn't give her vanilla being black. That's so crazy that we couldn't have vanilla ice cream. However, I like chocolate

Jia, is a 9 tailed Fox Spirit/Demon (succubus, soul eater), which is a trickster demon (a Chinese & Korean, mythological creature...Kumiho for Koreans). The giant red fox she saw was herself, I believe. Lol, she had tails, not tinticuls.
