Based on the sound and lyrics (i.e. Bon, c'est bon, bon, bon, c'est bon, bon) you'd think this was a Cajun band, but the band's name is a hat-tip to origin (i.e. the annual Calgary Stampede). Sweet City Woman, was the song way back in '71 that made me fall in life-long love with Canadian rock and inspired me to pick up my guitar and write my own music.

My favorite juicy little jingle that I sing all over the house when vacuuming and dusting. It makes me feel good, what a super song I grew up with in those terrific 70s. You'll be Ssssooo so shocked when you see it live, only 3 instruments, no banjo but an awesome double neck guitar he plucks to make thar banjo sound. Lawd, the 70s were so incentive with sounds!

You two are simply awesome. The way Amber reacts and grooves to the music, makes her seem like a '60s/'70s "flower child", and "J" often looks mesmerized, especially in this one. Keep doin' what you're doin".

Stampers Sweet City Women was their greatest hit. Check out Wild Eyes, Oh My Lady, Carry Me, Hit the Road Jack, Ministrel Gypsy, and lots more hits. They still tour to this day all three originals.

I think "Wild Eyes" was a hit in Canada at least. My favorite Stampeders tune. They had other popular tunes as well such as Ramona and Oh My Lady.
