Stars of "Lovely Bones" sit down with Nick Maslow to discuss working with Susan Surandon and Stanley Tucci, the difference between the movie and novel, and director Peter Jackson's relationship with actors on set.
Please don't say God's Holy name in vain Exodus 20:7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name." God loves you and so do I. Give your life to Jesus Christ and repent of all your sins, even the ones you've committed in the past.
It was supposed to be that she started as the younger sister and then aged past what Susie would have been had she not died. But Rose looked like a full blown adult in the movie because at the time of filming she was 20 years old. Rose may be a good actress, but it was just terrible casting for the role. They needed a young looking teenager.
@@ChristophProbst I don't think so at all!! She needed to be older 'cause Lindsey is supposed to grow throughout history. It was better to take a couple of years off an older actress than to use a whole creative process to make a teenager look like a lady at the end (remember that finally we can see a Lindsey married and expecting a baby).
Saoirse Ronan Lovely bones (LB): amazing!!! Lady Bird (LB): Ahhh amazing!!!! Little women (LW): I literally can’t waittt it’s going to be fantastic Also Timothée Chalamet 💕💕
@@Itsabellybuttonringgg10382 Well I would prefer Little Woman with Mama Joyce and MJ in it. Only good thing about 2019 version was Saoirse herself...... And the "Such a Poser" girl was decently well...
i am irish and so is saoirse ronan. she is a great actress and she looks so different in real life she has a amazing accent and i think she is one of the best actress'es ever!!! go saoirse ronan!!! you rock
I really am glad I saw this movie, I didn't know anything about it but it really got my attention as the story went. This movie really puts you in the moment of the cereal killers thinking and the victims fear of realising her situations danger. It is a good movie for pointing out the true dangers to kids and trusting women to strangers, even your neighbors. It's full of suspense and fears.
She (Rose) looked at least 17 in the film. Personally, I like how Saoirse's accent is American, Irish, English. Kinda neutralized. It sounds so much more personable and easily made out than common British i.e. Colin Farrell's and the Harry Potter cast's.
well i just found out about rose's accent and came to see this only to find out saoirse is irish! though....honestly....i should've figured that out from the name.....duh chelsea. but i never would've known that from her movies
+Kingz Leez I should also probably point out that they aren't talking "regular". Regular for them is their own native tongue and American accents are the different thing. The American accent is not regular. Regular is different to each person depending on where they grew up.
+Chelsea Granger I thought the exact same! I was very surprised to know they both weren't american, im a kiwi myself (new zealander) so they all did an amazing job! I'm not just saying that as a Peter Jackson fan as I've litterally have not seen lord of the rings etc (I will) but have driven through the town it was filmed in called Matamata and they have turned it into a lil hobbit village touristy place so cool lol I just adore lovely bones so much! my fav movie along with Titanic
Isn't it strange how in real life Rose is six years older than Saoirse, but in the film Rose plays a girl who is about three years younger than Saoirse? WEIRD :P
Expert film director here - in the film they needed the character of the sister to age 6 years to show time had passed and it's easier to make a 20yr old look 14 than a 14yr old look 8... it's also the reason you don't see her younger brother in the second half of the movie
@jessicakennon is because they finished filming at 1 year, and Peter did the editing of the film months later, so people, they filmed the movie ending 2008 to 2009, but the movie has scenes that Rose looks younger but, because of the makeup...
The younger sister looked like the oldest to me. I believe the actress was older than Susie but I think they did that because Susie doesn’t age due to the fact that she dies and her sister does age in the movie and becomes pregnant even. However I still think she should’ve been younger because she seemed a lot older than Susie to me
@itsgunnabelegendary The only difference I can hear from Aussie and NZ accents is that kiwi accent is easier to understand for me. Not sure why. It seems softer than Aussie or some British accents. Or maybe Rose is just an eloquent speaker, idk.
i get what they are saying about stanley tucci. He looked familiar the whole movie and i couldnt put my finger on who he was. when i found out i was shocked! what an amazing actor and i did leave his character in the movie and still was able to love him in other movies he starred in afterwards. great movie. and saoirse ronan is gorge! those eyes those eyes:)
@GeorgeV6v24 what are you insinuating? They did very well in the movie, if you see her other videos, you will see how they became friends, and that's pretty cool. they are so cute
@prematurepopstar900 they did that on purpose, because at the end after Susie dies everybody gets older and her sister is an adult and pregnant, so they needed an actor that could play an adult at the end, if they had somebody younger she couldn't play a pregnant adult at the end, that's why they put pigtails and braces on rose so she could look younger then susie(:
