I've been wanting canon in D to be play in my wedding since I finished my studies. As a swiftie, when I heard lover I was like it's my second option to be my wedding song. But now, you put it as one piece, I could say this is going to be my wedding song. It's just that I'm 30 and no boyfriend yet. So it's going to be just a dream for me. 😭
This made my heart heart melt. I absolutely love canon in D but I felt like everyone does it at their wedding. Lover makes me excited and joyful and want to find that someone. This arrangement is absolutely beautiful. I can just imagine the ring bearer and flower girl walking down. And then the bridesmaids and groomsmens. And then the bride walking down right as the piano plays “ladies and gentlemen will you please stand”

i remember when i first heard this song at my work, i wasn’t a fan of taylor but this song is just overflowing with genuine adoration and love. i would work all day and night, then drive two hours just to sleep in the same bed as my boyfriend and have him close. we broke up a month ago, and i’ll be moving 10 hours away from him. it’s hard to sleep alone most nights when “can i go where you go” “can we always be this close” is looping forever in your mind. at one point, he promised me he would follow me anywhere... but sadly, people rarely mean what they say. a very sweet song that kind of makes you think about a love you never really had, but maybe that’s just me
