16 years old with my cousin Tamara ,we pushed our way through the crowd at the Loverboy concert and got dead center of the stage up front...we both had mad crushes on Mike Reno( lead singer) in that song he bent down and ripped his shirt open for us as he belted out you wanna peace of my heart..I screamed and bang my cousin fainted and was caught by the guy behind us lololol,💜 loved Loverboy!!!!

My favorite by them is “Loved every minute of it “. My daddy taught me how to shoot pool & I FINALLY beat him for the first time while this song was playing on the jukebox. I laughing & dancing around the pool table & him saying,”We don’t have time for all that dancing.” Lol. I am in my 50’s now and my daddy has been gone for almost 5 years. Great memories.

It was the 80's. They were the very first concert I ever went to, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts opened for them.

I've known Mike Reno since late 1979 early 1980s... super nice guy, as well as the rest of them.... knew Scott Smith( bassist) such a sweet guy... Scott died November 30, 2000 in San Francisco Bay... he fell overboard near the Golden Gate Bridge off of his boat by a huge wave, his remains have never been found... R.I.P. Scott ...and Matt Frenette(drummer) better tho.... seen Loverboy last time at the Wisconsin Valley Fair in 2017, lost count how many times I've seen them. They used to play alot of local pubs in Burnaby, Vancouver, etc in Canada in early 80s.... I still see the guys once in a while!

40 years! 🎂 Before the founding of Loverboy. Guitarist Paul Dean and drummer Matt Frenette were in Steelheart. Ken "Spider" Spinaeve was the bass guitarist. He quit and joined Red Rider, whose lead singer is Tom Cochrane. PD and MF quit. Mike Reno was known as Joseph Michael Rynoski. He was the lead singer of Moxy. Gil Moore was their drummer. He quit and formed Triumph. PD, MF, MR, late Scott Smith and Doug Johnson formed Cover Boy in Toronto. This was inspired by a Cover Girl ad. The band changed the name to Loverboy. They moved to Vancouver. American record companies rejected Loverboy. One executive said "This is the stupidest name of a rock band ever!" He later ate those words at the 1983 Juno Awards in Toronto. Bruce Allen became their manager, and he still is! 😃 The late Bruce Fairbairn was their first producer. Bob Rock was their first engineer. The first 4 albums were recorded in the famous Little Mountain Sound Studios, Vancouver. Written by Mike Reno, Paul Dean and Matt Frennette. In 1983, Loverboy won the most Juno awards in one year! 😀They won so many that at the commercial break David Foster of Victoria, BC said, "We are taking a break from the Loverboy awards!" 🤣 David Foster sometimes recorded in Little Mountain. He is friends with the late Bruce Fairbairn, Mike Fraser, Bob Rock, Jim Vallance and Bryan Adams. Later that year, Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance joined PD. MF and MR in writing Jump. (Not related to the Van Halen song.) 2 years later, BA and Mike Reno joined Northern Lights. One-time supergroup for African relief. Bass guitarist Scott Smith disappeared in San Francisco Bay.😭 Ken Spinaeve, who played with Paul Dean and Matt Frenette in Steelheart, replaced SS. Suggested next video: Mike Reno and Ann Wilson sing Almost Paradise. 🎥From the soundtrack to the movie Footloose. RIP Bruce Fairbairn and Scott Smith.

Saw these guys at the Great western forum in LA in 1980 they were great they played with the baby's which John wait is an amazing singer check them out also (every time I think of you) great reaction lover boy had a few other good hits as well turn me loose was one,great reaction glad u loving the music. It's amazing but Loverboy still tours to this day. The lead singer weighs about 260 lbs but amazingly sounds exactly the same. You should see a video like that.
