At Microsoft Build 2022, Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella highlights 10 technologies that are coming together to help developers define what comes next, including low-code/no-code.
I think there’s development space of Low code, no code beyond web applications. With right frameworks and direction, perhaps can explore into Low latency applications, IOT or embedded software systems. Not with the intent of replacing developers, but helping us to speed up work. Therefore with the need for highly customisable feature sets to allow what to generate and what spaces we want to populate ourselves.
Exciting video. Low Code and No Code is the future. This space has already grown a lot in the last few years and it'll continue to grow because people who like to solve problems want to do it quick and without spending much time learning to code or spend money on hiring developers. Even experienced developers will benefit from such technologies because it's time saving. Microsoft Power Apps and Power Pages are going to be huge in the next 5 years.
You know this has been done and done fairly well 20 years ago (oracle forms for example). It just isn't good and never will be without custom intervention. Sorry.
All no-code tools work really well for simple requirements. As soon as requirements increase in complexity, you'll be back to code in no time. They must create new abstract languages instead of gimmicks.
No code will replace conventional developers no matter what people tell. I hear people say, no code will not replace conventional developers. IT WILL! To understand this, we need to know the history of programming. Do we use the old methodology of programming now? Do you know that there was a methodology before we started programming with letters and numbers? Do we code in machine language now? Do we use cobol or fortran? We used previous technologies to build future technologies and avoid the old ones. How did we make python? Using another programming language called C. Now C is more complex than python and python is more used. Now we will build no code tools using python and other programming languages and those new age tools will be used to develop other tools. Heard about GPT 3? Well, think about integrating that tech with no code and then there is no stopping. Also, I think it this way. if an alien species is about to see us code so many lines for a simple program to work, they'd laugh at us. It's high time, we should be able to make things much faster.
Great that your simplifying the process but why is licensing still so complicated. Win for low code/no code but massive fail for licensing. Please fix Microsoft's overly complex licensing Satya.
complex licensing is Microsoft's bread and butter. Just like a Wix site, all the code for the site belongs to Wix. Low code No code is also Little ownership / No ownership.
This is good one but should be available for all type of users like mac, windows, android etc. So that a large number of people can use this easily. It also will boost #Microsoft #community.
The information about the top low code platforms, such as Appery, OutSystems, Mendix, and Pega, is completely missing in your video, even though it can easily be found by performing a simple search using the phrase "low code app builder" on any search engine.
🖐Greetings Mr. Satya Narayana Nadella. It was a great pleasure to finally meet the person whose signature is under my Certification. This is the same Certification that Bill Gates himself signed back in 2003. And now I can only find it if you let me come inside your datacenters and start digging the backyard. At the time being, There are near 250 Certifications available to secure, But those days, things were different. Don't bother yourself, I have the original printed version with me. 💥And could you please do me a favor!? It's very important to me. If you ever get a chance to meet him, although he might not even know, please ask him why among the 249 countries on Microsoft Azure's signup page, I was not able to find Country Code *98* ?? Or maybe *91* repeated accidentally!! ❤ Please also send him my best regards.
Microsoft had InfoPath some years back which provided a way to design forms to accept input from users and use it to submit to different destinations (Excel, Web API, etc). They could use that itself as the platform to build a low-code/no-code system. Why design a new platform for this?
No code/low code has been around for 30+ years. Nothing new under the sun. 10 years from now there will be a new new “no code” tool chain with a different name and buzzword. And so the cycle continues
I mean who's not going to freak out if this things will actually steal your job, your living. Lol. Will we be able to keep up with technology at this rate?
Am afraid, performance wise it's too slow and unable to load balance and db optimisation is poor so huge lag on 2 gb ram phone, lite version also avg consume 150mb and more space,it's too bulky and heavy, somehow pls reduce this heavynesss then they will work super but they are running fine on desktop, we shift to Google app maker for mobile as it's ultra fast on low gb ram phone
I'm not happy with Microsoft's licensing system, in rgards to PowerApps. I have a license and I build an app but even my users will need lisence to use it, that doesn't make sense.
As a developer in Microsoft technologies for many decades, I wish you will understand what terrible taste it is to make ads promoting the idea of making careers around exaggerating people's suffering.
those that don't understand the ins and outs of computing and how programs work under the hood shouldn't be making software because it will end up shitty/slow
These non-app app creation tools NEVER work out. It's been tried I don't know how many times... It's not long before you want to do something not possible within the templates - and the stock answer is always... don't worry you can code those things by doing this breakout - at which point you have a frankenstein monster!
frankenstein monsters make lots of money down stream, walk the client into a pay to play.. its always the same game. traps and nooses are the name of the no code no ownership game.
Hehe Macromedia did this 20, 30 years ago with dreamviewer and Nowadays nobody uses it. What is next? No labour house manufacturing with automated 3d printers?
Any portuguese here? The accent of the portuguese guy wase pretty hard for me to understand, but the woman was ok. What’s up with his accent? Is it regional?
Awesome! We all need an AI too to do all the code so that we can have no-stack web app: no sql, no server, no frontend, no backend, no design, no code, no developer.
dear microsoft developer channel manager, please consider that as you manage the channel releasing lots of videos in a shot in case a user has a subscription, the subscription page is flooded with microsoft videos and all other subscriptions are in the middle causing a lot of confusion and the strong desire to unsubscribe your channel.
this is joke nothing else, every company or organisation wants its own code because security , so this will replace programmer who are working for very small project . but never replace sonud coder ,
