Maine has never been very high price. But it seems WallStreet is trying to push prices in no mans land. These elits have no clue on the wild life up here. Its like the wild west of Yellowstone. Porcupine love to chew on wood and that even means instead your house wrapped with wooden shingles ,you would be better off with half a stone wall or a foundation two feet high. These little buggers arent friendly to dogs and cats neither when those quils get in they are in deep. You will need a set of pliers to get them out. N the poor dog sedated.

125 dollars a year, that's it. Great value considering how super the roadway is maintained and protective of any erosion into the lake. Lake places, give them to your kids in as good, better shape than you got them. It is good stewardship and East Grand is so so clean, unspoiled. I live on a lake, have a 2 bedroom rental cabin next door bought for my kids to vacation at. I could rent it for $1500 a week during 20 weeks of the year. Same renters every year would make the calendar for exact same period. This owner did not rent and the two camps used and enjoyed not rented. But could be.
I have driven in year round and besides folks who live at East Grand Lake, many use their places on weekends in winter to ice fish, snowsled, play pond hockey, etc. Just put in a woodstove or automatic gas or oil heat. The one row back lots have right of way access lanes... usually 25' in this section of East Grand Lake. Some folks just put boat in and out and others develop and use the pathways to the waterfront. Make friends with someone in front who is not here much and many get to use the other side of the lake shore dock that is empty. I have two compasses one hand held that ties around your neck and water proof and the other sits on a small ruler while you read your map for longitude and latitude.
